Summary
This story is a crossover serving as a sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera and a prequel to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Set in 1884—two years after the “Final Lair” and thirteen years before Jonathan Harker’s arrival at Castle Dracula—the tale unfolds amidst shadows and longing.
Dracula, his soul restless and yearning for unearthly music, learns of the Opera Populaire’s legendary diva, Christine Daaé. The Count journeys to Paris, determined to claim Christine as his muse. Meanwhile, Christine and Raoul are blissfully betrothed, on the cusp of marriage. Yet Christine cannot forget her Angel of Music, still aching for the Phantom.
Unbeknownst to her, the Phantom has taken refuge as a monk in a renowned Parisian church, seeking redemption for his haunted past. He loves Christine even more but it’s no longer tainted by lust and obsession and now, the once pitiful creature of darkness, has to protect his beloved from the most dangerous being to ever walk on earth: the Lord of Darkness himself. -

Instruments were designed to elicit something in everyone. Erik had never once doubted that. He believed that music had the power and opportunity to pave the way for what humans are supposed to do next in life. To give purpose and meaning and to drive power. Power over purpose, power over desire. Power over the very meaning of life.

Hit with the truth, Raoul takes her back to Paris and encourages her to find her poor, unhappy Erik.
Very much a H/C read. M for certain scenes and topics. Eventual smut.
