Summary
Not so much an olive branch extended. More a thorny rose, pretty for now but sure to cut them both later. Chifuyu doesn’t care, will gladly do what they do best— mend a crack in the wall with tape and hang a pretty picture over it so they can forget all about it.
Or, Shuji gets jealous, and neither he or Chifuyu are ever in the habit of talking things out.

“This sleeve is bigger than you,” Chifuyu says, turning his head to kiss Shuji briefly. “I’m not sure…” He turns back and holds up one of his hands, holding two fingers together, then three, four, eventually balling his hand up in a fist. He tries to remember how tight Shuji felt around just two fingers and then glances down at the screen, seizing up the sleeve again. “Maybe we should start with something smaller?”
Or, Shuji wants to try something new in bed and Chifuyu is more than happy to comply.

Later, he would tell everyone that he didn’t care if Hanma was gone, that finding another dealer would be easy, but, in the moment, a pit started to grow in his stomach. “What?”
“Yeah.” Hanma exhaled smoke slowly around the word, then pointed the rest directly into Chifuyu’s face.
Okay, maybe Chifuyu wouldn’t miss him as much as his gut just tried to fool him into thinking.
“Good. Now I can stop inviting weird men into my apartment.” Hanma snorted, and Chifuyu could feel the force of the eye roll from where he was sitting.
“Like your little circle jerk is any more normal than I am.” He clicked his tongue against his teeth and finally passed the joint to Chifuyu. “Ryusei told me you two suck each other off sometimes.”

It is half a lie. Chifuyu has his own suspicion that he is very much into something (or someone) but he is grounded by a little jolt of panic whenever he lets his thoughts wander beyond ‘yes, Hanma is hot and fun to be around’ into ‘what if…’ territory.
Or, Hanma Shuji, as it turns out, aged with grace and found someone to have a child with, somehow. Matsuno Chifuyu isn't sure how to process any of it.

He takes a deep breath as he closes the door and locks it. “I’m home,” Chifuyu shouts, discarding his shoes and jacket by the front door. He rolls his shoulders, takes a steading breath, and makes his way into the apartment.
“Welcome home, lover boy,” Shuji coos, smiling as he pops his head out of the kitchen to see his boyfriend. “How was work?”
Normally, Chifuyu would run into Shuji's arms after work, happy to be cradled in his arms and get on his tippy toes to kiss him. But today? He’s not in the mood.
