“You ready, Laudna?” is the next thing she hears from Imogen. She still sounds just as excited as the moment they got off the skyship, and it brings a bright smile to Laudna’s face.
“Of course, darling,” Laudna replies without hesitation. She walks into their bedroom, seeing Imogen standing in the middle of the room with a big, bright smile, gloves and glasses already on the nightstand, boots tucked neatly away beneath it. She turns, her back facing Imogen, closing and locking the door behind her. She begins shrugging off one strap of her knapsack, and in the middle of doing the same for her other shoulder, she hears Imogen from behind her.
“Drop,” she says authoritatively.
