Summary
Batman is a loner. He prefers to stay in Gotham, mind his business, and take care of his ward, Dick Grayson. But when he gets caught on camera while on a patrol, that video ends up online and he becomes Gotham's biggest urban legend almost overnight. What will he do when he gets roped into joining the Justice League, who all think he's a vampire?
Or: Basically everybody thinks Batman is a vampire, including the Justice League, and he doesn't even try to deny it.

J’onn floated into the room with a datapad in hand. “The system already recognizes him as an active member.”
“You already added him?” Hal asked Bruce incredulously. “We just had this discussion.”
Bruce looked down at the datapad in hand. “Is that a problem? I knew you’d be adding him.”
Barry let out a disbelieving laugh. “So you argued against it…while already putting him in the system?”
“I argued against it,” Bruce corrected, “but the outcome was inevitable.” He stood and turned toward the console. “Orientation begins in five minutes,” he said, already moving—like the conversation had ended whether they agreed or not.
Barry looked like he might actually short-circuit. “Five minutes?” he repeated, voice pitching up. “We just found out he’s already—he’s in the system, Batman!”
Batman has always believed distance keeps people safe. Then Nightwing starts working alongside him again, and suddenly the careful line between them begins unraveling in front of the entire Justice League.
What starts as quiet suspicion slowly becomes impossible to ignore: Batman and Nightwing aren’t just partners. Bruce just isn’t ready for everyone else to realize it yet.

'It had been an allyship born out of necessity. At least, that’s what Damian had let himself believe the first time he had a coherent conversation with the pit pet, a monster his mother had taken under her wing for some reason. '
Damian never knew who his father was until he was forced to start taking punishment for Batman's actions. Why his mother's pit monster took such interest in it was beyond him. But when it turns out they share more than one intense caregiver an easy solution becomes clear and Damian leaps on the opportunity to get away from his beatings, flee to Gotham with his brother in tow and with one mission in his mind:
To kill Batman.
Turns out that a nine and nineteen year old both with murder tendencies are quite the recipe for chaos. Especially if their old lives keep popping up.

Timothy huffed a laugh then raised a hand. "Your mother didn't like you enough to keep you, Jason didn't like you enough to protect you, Dick didn't like you enough to stay, Bruce doesn't like you enough to hold a conversation with you, and don't even get me started on your grandfather." Every statement was accompanied by a finger counting each one.
Damian stumbled over his own feet, barely catching himself on the railing. He stared down at the darkness without seeing it as all his defenses failed him. He opened his mouth to rebuff him but all that came out was, "And you?"
"Do you really want to know about me right now?"

Damian and Tim get into an argument after a bad mission and Tim says something that upsets Damian's worldview. It doesn't matter though. Damian just prove that Tim Drake, the super genius, is wrong. It can't be that hard, can it?
