Chapter Text
SEVERAL YEARS AGO
“Man, where were you?!”
Hizashi sounded distraught. His glasses were askew, his shirt ruffled. At some point Shouta had gotten a black eye.
“What the hell happened to you guys?” Shirakumo glanced from one to the other. “You look like you just fought off a villain.”
“Trust me, it feels that way too,” muttered Shouta, rubbing his hand over his ribs. “Dipshit here ran off to see the sports clubs.”
“I did not,” protested Hizashi. “I ran off to see swimsuits!”
“Whatever,” said Shouta.
“Anyway, they lied to us,” said Hizashi. “It wasn’t the swim team or the gymnastics club. It was the judo club!”
“Those girls have better upper body strength than any villain I’ve ever seen,” said Shouta, cracking his neck. “More vicious, too.”
Shirakumo could practically see dark clouds of despair hanging over them both and he winced, wondering the sorts of tortures that had been inflicted on them.
“So anyway,” said Hizashi. “What happened to you?”
“Oh,” said Shirakumo, “uhhhh…”
He couldn’t bring himself to tell them about the maid cafe, much less the girl he had met.
“Oh, it was terrible,” he said. “Haunted house...completely terrifying. You guys lucked out, believe me.”
