Chapter Text
That stupid moth man had set him up! Here he was at 8:30pm and no Valentino. If he couldn’t make it at least have the decency to tell me OR come and find me. He finished his whiskey and headed for the door.
He managed to get outside the club, then he felt someone grab his arm, lo and behold there he was VALEN FUCKING TINO. “You had some nerve leaving me in there and now coming to find me, pathetic.”
“Well I had a very good reason”
“Well spit it out then”
“I fell asleep”
Vox paused for a moment, he wasn’t joking there was no sarcasm in the moths voice no, the moth man had actually fallen asleep before their meeting. He couldn’t stay mad at him, no that would be absurd even by Vox’s standards. To be honest Vox’s sleep schedule wasn’t that good either soo he couldn’t be one to judge.
*sigh* “Well the night is still young how about we go in hmm.” Vox still wanted him as a business partner so being angry at him may not be the best idea. Not like last time.
Inside the club
Timeskip 1 hour…….
Turns out Vox is actually quite good company he’s witty, charismatic and he is a gentleman. Not that he cared NOPE not in the slightest. He also doesn’t care that he does not seem to mind his squeaks that keep on squeaking STUPID MOTH SENSES. Nope not at all. He’s definitely not a lil bit disappointed when he shifts the conversation back to business how dare you suggest that! Vox is just different than anyone else he has met and he has met a lot of people *wink wink*
“Have you thought about my offer Valentino?”
In all honestly he actually had, however Vox was still a big overlord and his soul may be in his sights, but he had gone after him hadn’t he?
“Call me Val, we are friends no?”
“Okay Val, have you thought about my offer?” Everything was riding on this. If he could get him as a partner (in business) that would be huge. It would be nice to have some company not that he wanted company obviously.
“I have guapo.” He smirked edging his answer out to build tension “I would like to see where I would be filming and my equipment, once we get that sorted then a business partnership may be in order.”
Vox didn’t know what came over him (probably the whiskey) but he got up and hugged the moth and thanked him, he was warm and smelled nice.
Vox got up from the moth’s embrace said “can you give me one more week just to get things sorted and I promise you will have your studio and equipment ready to roll.”
Valentino didn’t know why he believed him, why he trusted him but the sincerity in the TV demons voice Val hadn’t heard that in another man before (well apart from that dashing weatherman with the stunning mismatched eyes). The moth had a feeling that Vox could be more than just a business partner, Vox could be a friend his first friend down here that would be something.
They shook hands and said their respective goodbyes and then this night an empire was born.
