It was really a worse time to be having it…Monika got out of the bed feeling grumpy than usual. She went inside of the bathroom and gritted her teeth, of course it had to come this time of the month. Worse feeling to feel as a woman.
Three days of suffering from cramps.
Monika hated periods but she had to endure it, she changed into pads then came out of the bathroom. She was curious where her girlfriend was at…
Then she heard a loud whining from outside, the German woman ran out of the room and towards the noise but was only met by Amelia.
She was clutching her stomach and curled up into a ball, groaning from pain.
“It hurts as hell!!!!” Amelia whined.
Monika sighed and realized Amelia has it as well…that’s going to be a problem. She already used the last of the pads, which the pack of it was already used and gone.
“Liebe,” Monika said.
She gently shook her girlfriend’s shoulders, Amelia looked towards her and continued to whine about the cramps she was experiencing.
“Moni!!!! It hurts!!!!” She complained.
Monika rolled her eyes at her girlfriend’s overdramatic expression, “You’re being dramatic, Liebe. It’s going to pass for another two days, it’s not like it’s gonna kill you,”
Amelia only pouted and said, “You’re no fun!”
“Well…we’re both going to have to deal with it. Either we like it or not,” Monika said.
“So you have it too?” She asked.
Monika only nodded as she continued pouting and complaining loudly.
“This sucks….I hate it!” Amelia cried.
Monika said, “Our supply of pads is out so…if you want we can go grocery shopping if that makes you happy?”
Amelia stood up straight quickly and smiled, Monika was amused by her girlfriend’s mood turning from whining to smiling and excited. She only smiled back at her. Her frown turned into a softened expression, it was cute for Amelia to quickly smile whenever she heard Monika that they’re going out.
She was like a golden retriever, Amelia ran towards the room and yelled, “Let me get myself changed then we can go out, Babygirl!!!”
Monika only chuckled and slightly blushed by the fact that she called her babygirl. It was way too adorable for an endearment for her.
She followed suit as Monika wanted to get herself prepared for their outing. It was times like these when they would go out together and not cramp themselves on work.
Although in Monika’s case, she likely would get herself trapped inside of her office, finishing paperwork but at least she could use this reason to spend time with Amelia. It isn’t all that bad. Considering she’ll stress herself even more due to her cycle making her extra moody.
While for Amelia? Whenever she does get it, she would complain and whine for the next two days about the cramps and everything when she has troubles in the bathroom. Monika didn’t like when Amelia was this whiny whenever she was on her period.
So! Their plan for today was to do some grocery shopping and have a little fun in the house, more likely Monika thought it would be a good idea to turn on some movies they could watch at the end of the day.
She only continued to smile at the thought of them spending their three days together, taking care of each other while the cycle continued to torment them.
They walked by the streets of the busy city as Amelia held her hands with Monika, looking around at the boutiques and restaurants along the road. She casually pointed out to her girlfriend if they wanted to shop around after the grocery was done.
Monika only nodded at Amelia’s request, which made her smile and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. Which only made her look away with a slight tinted blush on her pale face.
Amelia giggled at Monika’s adorable reaction. They continued walking and entered the grocery store to pick out the pads and a few things on their list.
Monika walked around the aisle, looking around at what they needed. Amelia was holding the basket and watched her with a loving stare. She found the pads and placed three boxes onto the basket.
“Three boxes?” Amelia raised her eyebrows, “Why that many, babe?”
“Just in case we're out again. So…it’s stockpiling,” Monika said.
Amelia joked, “I think you would be the one to be surviving the apocalypse than me if we’re rationing the materials we have,”
“Well…at least I would have been logically prepared if an apocalypse was happening,” Monika said.
Amelia laughed as Monika only smiled and said, “Come on, let’s gather up the rest on the list, Liebe,”
Both of them went together to the grocery store, finding what they needed on the list. Eventually, they finished up and paid everything as the cashier smiled at them and greeted them goodbye. They exited the grocery store and went out of the streets again.
Amelia asked, “Hey! Can I go back inside the grocery store with the pad?”
Monika sighed, “Are you seriously doing this now?”
“Please? I’ll be fast I promise!” She said, as Monika rummaged through the groceries in their bags as she opened a pack of the pads and gave it to Amelia.
She ran quickly back into the store again to use the restroom. Monika only sighed and smiled, she didn't know what to do with Amelia…although she did know that Amelia picked a woman like her to love.
Amelia eventually returned back to Monika with a smile on her face. Looks like she was relieved from the problem a few moments ago. She went towards Monika and said, “Let’s go?”
Monika only nodded as they walked onto the streets once more as Amelia reminded her that they would go to a boutique after the grocery shopping.
She told Amelia she didn’t forget as they continued to roam around the streets, Amelia pointed at the boutique with a pretty selection of clothing and asked, “Oh! Can we go in?”
“Ja, we could go in but don’t spend too much, Amelia!” Monika said.
“Oh! Relax I won’t,” Amelia snickered.
They went inside of the boutique, Amelia was amazed and giggled at the clothes that the store had to offer. Monika was there to supervise that her girlfriend wasn’t overspending so much on the money.
She watched as Amelia looked through carefully on her choices, asking frequently if it looks ok for her or not. Casually, Monika wouldn’t really care if Amelia’s fashion taste looked good or not afterall she isn’t a fashion person although…no matter what clothes Amelia wore. She was always a beautiful sun goddess in Monika’s eyes.
“How does this look, Babe?” Amelia asked to come out of the changing room with a crop top and skirt.
“It looks great, Liebe,” Monika smiled.
“Really?” She said.
“If you want it then it’s alright for me,” she said.
Amelia giggles, “Alright! If you said it looks ok on me then I’ll get it!”
After many fittings and clothes selections, Amelia stayed true to her word and only chose two to three outfits she chose with the help of her girlfriend of course.
Surprisingly, Monika looked at the items and looked at the signs. It was on sale so it was a pretty good deal for her to pay for it. Amelia went towards the counter and paid for the items she chose.
They went out of the boutique with Amelia’s items as they walked back home to settle in for today. Monika noticed that Amelia was very satisfied, she was glad that she wasn't whining as much anymore on her cramps. At least for the next two days…although she was ready to take care of Amelia as much as possible during those two days.
They arrived home as they settled their shopping items down as Monika went to the kitchen to grab a few pans so that she could start cooking dinner.
“Liebe, do you think you can grab the ingredients we shopped out from the bag?” She said.
Amelia nodded as she pulled out items from the bag while Monika grabbed the cutting board and knife as she settled it along the counter.
“Need me around the kitchen,” Amelia smiled.
“Ja,” Monika agreed as both of them worked around the kitchen although it was Amelia who was following Monika’s lead on what to do with the dish they were having for dinner.
Monika liked Amelia having around the kitchen. Her chatter and excitement lit up everything around the small apartment they live in. Although she was then stopped by Amelia blowing flour along her face, Monika frowned slightly. She was holding her laughter then her girlfriend blew flour back at her.
It turned into a whole flour war. Amelia was laughing at the shenanigan she started with her. Monika let down her guard and was laughing along with Amelia.
It was nice despite how they were currently going through it on their monthly cycle. For now, Monika was having fun.
After they were done with their shenanigans, Monika did eventually go back preparing dinner while Amelia went back to the room to slip into comfortable pajamas.
When Amelia went back to the kitchen, Monika was there and finished with their dinner. Her mouth started to watered as she saw the food that Monika prepared.
“Do you want us to eat on the couch?” Monika asked.
Amelia nodded.
They grabbed their food and went towards the couch. Both of them sat comfortably as Amelia laid down on her girlfriend’s shoulders as Monika turned on the TV by grabbing the remote.
“So…we are watching a movie tonight?” She asked.
“Ja, I had this thought for hours now so I thought you would like it if we wanted to watch something you like,” Monika said.
“Awww!!! So…am I allowed to pick?” Amelia said with puppy eyes.
Monika nodded, “Your choice, what do you like?”
“Hmm…do you think we can binge watch a series!” Amelia said.
She sighed, “You would end up going asleep in my arms if we do that, Liebe,”
“Aw! That’s a bit better than me groaning in pain all night though!” She whined.
Monika only smiled, “Alright this once, but if we end up sleeping together during the series, I’m bringing the both of us to the bed to sleep,”
Amelia rolled her eyes, “Ok! But it would be sweet for us to sleep after dinner on this couch, it looks way more comfy than the bed, Baby!”
“So, what series do you want us to watch?” she asked.
“Oh! I’m in love with a Villainess! Sakura recommended it to me! Told me it has great story on the main character in love with a villainess,” Amelia said.
Monika raised her eyebrows, “Really? I see,”
She picked the series as the show started to play, Amelia sat there excitedly and ate her food. Monika smiled that her girlfriend was enjoying this moment.
They continued to watch along the series as their dinner plates were already on the coffee table, empty and finished by the two. Amelia pointed at Mrs. Blaire on the screen and looks at Monika with a smile.
“Look, that’s you, Babe!”
Monika gave her a similar glare from the lady as they were watching, Amelia laughed at her reaction.
“Come on now! You have a similar glare!!!” She said while wheezing from laughing.
Monika sighed, “Why did I agree to this…”
“Because you asked for it!” Amelia laughed.
Monika couldn’t really admit that she was actually enjoying this little moment with her. This made her whole day despite being grumpy a few hours in the morning.
As they continued to binge watch the series, Amelia was slowly falling asleep but tried to stay awake. Monika noticed it and turned off the TV.
Amelia whined as Monika softly smiled at her and carefully carried her towards the bedroom. She settled her onto the bed and laid down next to her.
“Awww, it was getting good…why did you turn it off?” She said.
“You’re already sleepy. We can continue the series tomorrow if you like,” Monika murmured as she carefully spooned her, giving her a cuddle.
Amelia nuzzled onto the warmth of her girlfriend’s embrace as her face was squished between Monika’s chests.
“Mmm…I actually enjoyed today,” Amelia whispered.
“Glad you did, Liebe,” Monika muttered as her eyes drooped down.
“I love you…” Amelia sleepily muttered as Monika kissed her forehead and smiled.
“I love you more.” Monika whispered in her sleep.
Despite their initial problems in the morning, these little moments gave them comfort and warmth.
