She was running through his mind. Again. Her. The one he didn’t even want to put a name to, because even thinking it felt… too intimate. Even nicknames made him feel weird. Even rude ones felt like some weird form of flirting. Fuck, he’s not sure he’s stopped thinking about her since one of the rainbow brigade had explained what yin and yang meant.
It was bad enough after the tournament, the nights when he’d pictured her pretty face spouting off about love. He’d had no reason to believe her, and frankly, no interest in some goody two shoes who’d been holding a torch for what? Five years? No matter how pretty she was. Still, he couldn’t get her out of his head, like a toothache you can’t keep your tongue away from. Something about her just hurt so good.
He’d been out in the courtyard, punching a training dummy and laughing to himself about the idea he’d been practically married, let alone to a hot-tempered fighter. His tastes had run to one night stands with much meeker women at the Administration. Getting off and then getting out, no chance of awkward conversations over the water cooler the next day when they’re too spineless to bring it up.
The door slammed against the wall and he turned, his jaw almost hitting the ground. Oh my FSM, he thought, a pile of pieces suddenly slotting into place. Until this moment, he’d only seen her as some androgynous figure drowning in her padded, armoured gi or in oversized sweats.
He shouldn’t have been surprised the woman was built for bikinis. She was the water ninja, afterall. The robe she wore was untied, revealing what barely passed for a bikini. Scraps of dark blue barely covered any of her lean, muscular body, highlighting curves and revealing alluring watery tattoos. If he could have designed his own personal wet dream, it would be her. Hell, when he thought back to the dreams he’d been having, maybe she was the faceless woman he’d been dream-fucking.
His pants were getting uncomfortable just watching her walk by. His body shifted of its own accord.
He followed her thoughtlessly out the courtyard doors and down a path he’d never noticed. His fists clenched at the thought that anyone could have followed her out here, and here she was, practically naked and unarmed. Stupid woman.
His rational brain reminded him she was a highly skilled fighter and still had her element. She didn’t need someone to protect her. He ignored the idea that he himself was supposed to have her back.
Jay drew up short when he came out of the trees and found himself in a clearing with a steaming pool. Hot springs?
“You never were the sneakiest ninja,” she said without turning around. His eyes landed on her back just in time to see her drop the bright blue robe. He barely noted that it wasn’t her usual shade as it fell. Then it was completely out of his mind. Tiny tied strings held her top on while the bottoms bared most of her behind. Tan skin rippled over taut muscle. He hadn’t even known a woman could look like that.
“Are you saying you let me follow you here? That doesn’t seem like a good idea,” he said eventually, not needing to disguise the rogue-ish way he was eyeing her backside.
“Why?” Nya turned to face him, her expression calm and even, although she seemed to have a challenging spark in her eye when his gaze finally reached her face. “Should I be afraid of you?”
His eyes raked very obviously down her body.
“You’re not going to intimidate me by looking at me like that. Just because you don’t remember doesn’t mean we–“
He cut her off abruptly, approaching her with lightning speed, hauling her barely covered body against him and claiming her mouth. She grabbed onto him, nails digging into the fabric covering his shoulders, swept up in a mix of new sensations and nostalgia. Her lips parted out of habit and his tongue swept in accompanied by a tingle reminiscent of pop rocks candy. She didn’t have much of a sweet tooth, but that (he) was definitely her favourite treat.
He pulled back as abruptly as he’d lunged in to kiss her, leaving her off balance and clinging to him. “This doesn’t mean anything. I’m not suddenly in love with you just because of your little display.” His hands stroked up and down from her hips to her shoulders, nails scraping her warm bare skin.
“You talk too much. Are you swimming with me or not?” She needed to regain equilibrium, to take back control. He wasn’t supposed to be devouring her. A few quick tugs, and she was striding confidently naked into the pool. He was tearing at his own clothes before his brain even registered that he’d moved. He barely noticed the heat of the soothing, steaming water as he stalked towards where she floated on her back with a coy smile on her face. When he was within arms reach, she stood up in the waist deep water.
She brought new meaning to the phrase ‘in her element.’ He felt like he could spend hours just watching the path of each droplet that trailed down her warm, tan skin. He didn’t consider that it could be a deliberate display until he noticed a drop defying gravity as it clung to a pert, dusky nipple. Eyes locked on his target, he reached up and brushed it off with his thumb, flicking the skin beneath and making her moan.
“Mmm.” She bit her lip to stifle the sound. She’d planned to be in control, but had forgotten the effect he had on her. At the sound, his roguish cold smirk was replaced by a familiar cocky grin. The glint in his eye was predatory. A strong arm hooked around her back and he hauled her in. Their damp torsos pressed together, flattening her breasts against his chest, skin on deliciously tingly skin. Her hands raking into his thick hair, she bobbed up in the water and wrapped her legs around him, earning a deep groan. His erection was squeezed between their bodies, wet and warm, mimicking exactly where he wanted to be. Had his younger self felt such a drive to take her?
“Jaaay,” Nya moaned, clinging to his shoulders as his hands found their way between her wide open thighs. Thick, masculine fingers traced places that only her own slender ones had traveled over in the last few years. The feel of him made her wet and weak. She gasped when he plunged a couple of fingers inside, the pressure of his other hand on her ass making her grind both on him and against him. He was tall enough that the warm water brushed the bottom of her thighs, stirring her own element and setting his abuzz against her skin.
Time and separation heightened every sensation. Years of longing and the need she’d felt for him since that first moment at the tournament made everything sharper. The brush of his buzzing thumb against her clit brought her to a sharp, sudden climax. His name slipped from her lips over and over as her body spasmed blissfully around his hand and against his skin as he clung to him in helpless bliss.
“You’re so easy,” he groaned, continuing to grind them together.
“Shut up,” she replied, too caught up in her post-orgasmic haze to add any force or annoyance to her words. Any retort he had planned was swallowed when she kissed him, her tongue in his mouth mimicking his fingers in her body. She barely noticed that he’d moved until she found herself flat on her back at the edge of the pool, her hips at the edge of a wide flat rock. Large hands grasped her hips and then suddenly she was blissfully full. She could feel every inch, ridge, and vein of him inside of her, possessing her in that way she’d missed so much. He leaned over her, the glow of the sun around him making him look almost like her bright, electric love.
“Oh fuck you’re tight,” he mumbled, knocking her out of her reverie. His thrusts rolled in a way that was unfamiliar but set her body on fire. Still, she followed him like the experienced dance partners they were, even if he didn’t remember. There was nowhere he could go, nothing he could do, that she wouldn’t follow. Her hands tugged on his (longer) hair, forcing him to look at her. His almost-familiar red-streaked eyes met her blue ones that were glowing from the water surrounding her. He found he couldn’t look away from the beauty that was Nya in her element. Somehow her cool hands burned his skin. Her body clung to his as if she would never let go, never lose him again. The squeeze of her cunt around his cock and her thighs around his hips that held him tight and deep against her was almost too intense. His brain told him he needed to back things off, to pound her and finish and get away. He should straighten up, admire the watery rippling of her tits as she took everything he gave her, and make himself come. Then get the heck out of here and away from her.
Something else pushed him deeper, if that was even possible. Made him want to hold himself still inside of her, savour the tight heat of her and the way she was crushed between a bed of stone and his own hard chest. It drew his mouth to savour her slick, damp skin and its salty sea taste. It pushed him to cradle her head and protect her from the stone beneath them as his other hand brushed back her hair, traced her features, and memorized her blissed-out expression.
When he finally came, it wasn’t with the fleeting, hollow intensity he was used to. His lightning flickered through his body, making his heart stutter along with the pulsing in his cock and balls. Her cries as the sparks of his pleasure set her off again sent him higher into bliss and pushed him to release deep inside of her instead of pulling out. Wave after wave coursed through him, as though her element was drawing out his pleasure like his own clearly increased hers.
His forehead rested heavily on hers when he finally withdrew. Bright blue eyes stared up into his with an earnestness that caused a sharp burst of something in his chest. She’d barely brought her hand up to brush her fingertips along his freckled cheek when he was gone. His bright expression flicked off like some switch had been turned off.
“Manipulative bitch,” he bit out, fleeing to where he’d dropped his clothes and dressing quickly. “What the heck did you do to me?” And then he was gone, before Nya could even get her pounding heart under control or make the rubbery muscles of her legs support her.
“Jay, wait…” she called out uselessly. Heart hollowed, she slipped down in the warm water, begging her element to sooth her pain.
