Work Text:
Garak had exactly one friend on this station, and that friend had been replaced by a Changeling. The only reason he’d figured that out was because he’d then found said friend in a dominion internment camp. They had relied on each other to get out, had seen each other at their lowest points; But now that they were back, it was like something had settled between them that kept his friend isolated from him.
What did you say to a man who knew that none of his so-called friends couldn’t even tell he’d been replaced? What excuse did you give? He could only imagine the pain and discomfort that would come from that feeling, not that he would know since he only had one friend.
Garak pinched the bridge of his nose, he’d been up too late the night prior and he’d stared at a computer for far too long today. So now he could feel the start of a migraine coming on. The last side effects from the wire; Tain’s lasting mark on his life, which is ironic since Tain was half the reason for Garak’s existence in the first place.
He put down his book and slid further down on the couch, he should probably get a dose of pain medicine from the infirmary before this rendered him incapable of functioning. Yet, that meant he’d have to face Julian, and he felt… so inadequate to talk to him.
“We should just admit to him that all that hope he placed on us seeing the imposter was ill placed and that his trust in us was misguided, get the disappointed eyes out of the way,” he sighed to himself, “then we can go back to our lonely existence. It was fun while it lasted.”
Garak slowly sat back up and was about to call for lights out when his door chimed.
“…who is it?” He called.
“Basssir.” Came the very slurred response.
Bashir? Julian? Garak stood and went to open the door, as it slid open so too did Julian fall into his quarters.
Garak hastily caught the younger man and was assaulted by the pungent smell of booze.
“Why Doctor do you smell like you fell in a distillery?”
Julian stood to his full height and wavered on his feet, “my pickles not livered yet.”
States preserve, he was blitzed, “Perhaps a glass of water is in order,” he said as he guided the man to his couch. He snagged the liquor bottle from the other man’s hands, took a sip and gagged, “Doctor, this is vile! What is it?”
“‘Sss Andorian Ale…” he struggled to pronounce the words. Andorian Ale was not something a sane humanoid other than Andorians ever drank; humans, insofar that Garak understood their biology, couldn’t process the stuff without becoming intolerably ill. How then was Julian just a few sheets to the wind and not violently ill?
Julian made grabby hands at the bottle, “‘s’taw only stuff that gets me… drunk.”
“Oh I’ve seen you act a fool on a glass of spring wine, I don’t think you’d need to try killing yourself.”
Something about that statement was apparently very funny, as Julian fell off the couch laughing. It was the kind of laughter that rendered the laughee incapable of movement, sometimes even resulting in feelings of suffocating from laughing so hard. He got the suspicion that he was missing something - and he didn’t like not knowing.
“I hardly think what I said is worth rolling around on the floor over, come now Julian, up-up.”
Garak reached down to pull the other man to his feet and then settled them both down on the couch.
“Y-You thought I got drunk on spring wine?”
“Doctor, I know the signs of drunkenness when I see it, flushed skin, slurred speech.”
Julian leaned into his space and he had to stop from gagging again at the stench, by the State, Andorian Ale was vile, “Do you want to know a secret? Of course you do - you love secrets.”
Garak stayed silent, as Julian giggled to himself and whispered conspiratorially, “I fake it.”
“Well that’s silly, why would you fake being drunk, it’s all too unpleasant."
“Becuz…this…” he tried to snatch the Ale from Garak’s hand, and almost succeeded, “‘ss my ale!”
“Doctor.. Julian. Honestly, this is too much.”
“Oh… r-right… y-yeah… ‘m too much - too loud - too dumb - too smart - too good - too not good enough. Never just right… never just right…” he trailed off and something in the other man’s look was so very broken, “‘m sorry…”
Julian struggled to stand before he started to try and wobble his way out of Garak’s quarters, Garak stood and intercepted him, “Now, I never said any of that my dear, come sit with me.”
“‘S okay Garak… You… you were a good friend…” Julian pat his shoulder and said in a broken voice, “I’ll miss you - you know.”
“You make it sound like you’re leaving,” a cold hand clutched around his heart, what was going on?
“Do what we always do - run away… just… run away.”
“Doctor -”
“Can’t be that any more… ‘snot LEAGAL!”
“Julian -” He amended, “Sit with me, tell me what’s bothering you?”
“Doesn’t matter… doesn’t matter… it’s all over… I…I thought…. I thought…” Garak watched as hazel eyes grew watery and tears started rolling down Julian’s face, “I’m a fraud Garak, a freak.”
Garak lowered his voice and slowly drew the younger man towards the couch, “Julian, you are not those things.”
“I am… I am though… I thought I was careful enough… I thought I could… could be normal… But I’m not normal… I can drink Andorian ale, I can do calculations that computers can do, in my head… I can beat Chief at darts every time - I had to try to lose. But then he had to invite my parents …”
Something important wasn’t being said, and Garak wasn’t sure if he pushed if it would come out or stay hidden, so he rubbed Julian’s back, soothing circles around and around.
“H-Have you ever heard of eugenics wars?” he sniffled and whipped his face.
“It sounds familiar.”
“The human race decided to play god, play with our genetics, to make ourselves better, faster, stronger, smarter. The ‘augmented’ humans decided however that they were naturally meant to lead and became tyrants. Resulted in whole wars. Millions died because of one augmented man’s ambition. Genetic resequencing outside of correcting fatal birth defects is illegal in federation space. I am illegal. Zimmerman found out, he’ll report it to Starfleet - has to report it. If they don’t hunt me down and shove me in a high security prison, I will be watched for the rest of my days.”
“Are you saying that... You are genetically modified?”
“I was six. My parents were concerned with my inability to keep up with my peers. Too slow, couldn’t tell a cat from dog,” there was so much anger in his words, “So they whisked me off to Agodian Prime and had me rebuilt from the ground up! Hello Julian Bashir, goodbye little Jules, you died before you got to live.”
Garak didn’t know what to say. He hesitantly drew the younger man against his side in an attempt to comfort him.
Julian was silent before he murmured against his shoulder, “I… I wanted to say good bye, after I tender my resignation, I’ve booked a transport off the station. At least then they can’t court marshal me… or discharge me dishonorably."
“... Leave?”
“Why would I stay? I won’t be an officer, I won’t be able to practice medicine. I’ll just be in the way and everything here… a reminder of what I lost…”
Garak was stunned, he knew that Julian was exceptional, but he’d never guessed just how exceptional.
“You’re speechless?” Julian laughed bitterly, “Of course you are - but you all proved you could already replace me - so what’s it matter if I leave?”
“Docto-”
“I’m not… stop… don’t - don’t call me that.”
“Doctor? A title you earned?”
“I didn’t earn it - Don’t you see! I cheated!!”
“I fail to see how you cheated, my dear.”
“I wasn’t supposed to be this! Jules he was… was slow, there was no way I could have become a doctor.”
“Do you know that for sure? Did you grow up without these… enhancements realize that life wasn’t what you wanted, somehow go back in time to convince your parents to take you go have these genetic enhancements?”
“Well.. no but-”
“Did you look at someone else's test answers before recording your own? Did you turn in research and papers written by another?”
“Well… no, but-”
“Then I fail to see how you ‘cheated,’ my dear. If a person whose legs don’t work right is given a crutch to use to help support themselves, are they cheating everyone else who can walk without it?”
“That's… that’s a dumb analogy.”
“Is it? Do… Julian. Regardless of what your parents did to you, they might have helped shape you, but ultimately is it not the children who are responsible for the people we become? Did they give you your sense of morality? Your integrity? Your wit? Your sense of adventure?”
“You don’t understand.”
“No.. I don’t. It is simply another tool, You were given a tool, mind you a very permanent one to your body, but it’s not what defines you my dear.”
When Julain didn’t seem inclined to agree he pulled the other to his feet, “Tell you what, why don’t you go take a bath?”
“I don’t have a tub in my quarters,” Julian shook his head.
“Lucky for you, I do.”
“You do?”
“When all of my brethren abandoned me when they pulled out of Bajoran space, I thought I’d avail myself of better quarters than the ones I had previously, and a bath is a luxury even we Cardassian’s enjoy. So up, up. A bath and then bed.”
“I - wait.. What?”
“I can pick you up and carry you, but you seem a little more sober than you did a few moments ago.”
“I know… I can never stay drunk, fucking matabolism.”
When Julian didn’t seem like he was moving, Garak reached down and quickly scooped the taller man into his arms - which got him a delightful little squeak of indignation.
“Garak! What are you doing!?”
“You are so full of questions tonight.”
“Put me down!”
“Will you go bathe?”
“I’m not bathing in your quarters!”
“Okay then, to your quarters we go,” Garak turned around and made for his door.
“Wait! WAIT! GARAK!”
“Yes?” he paused.
“I don’t need you to baby me!”
“I think you need company tonight, and if you can keep vigil beside my side while I lay dying, I can keep you company through what is clearly a very tumultuous moment for you - however, I will not suffer you smelling like you walked through Quarks bar and had every alcoholic beverage poured over your head.”
“I do not smell that bad.”
“Who has the stronger sense of smell?”
“I would argue I do.”
“I would argue I do, Cardassians have an organ at the back of our throats that allows us to … taste the air, for lack of better terminology. When I say you smell nauseating, I am not exaggerating."
“Put me down.”
“Where will you be bathing?”
“Garak.”
“Julian.”
“You’re being a stubborn ass!”
Garak smiled, “I know, it’s one of my many charming qualities.”
“Put. Me. Down.”
“Answer the question.”
“Fine! FINE! Here!”
Garak dropped his feet to the ground and kept his arm around Julian’s waist until he had his feet back under him, “Excellent, on we go.”
Julian batted his hands away and walked into Garak’s bed room, and then toward the bathroom, followed by a ‘holy shit.’
“Did you think I was lying?”
“Yes… actually.”
Garak laughed, and he stood outside of the bedroom and listened to the sounds of clothes hitting the ground and his mind went to places it really ought not go right now. Yes, Julian was a gorgeous human who had absolutely no right to be as exotic as he was, but he needed a friend right now. He heard the water finally slosh around and he walked into the bedroom and gathered up the discarded uniform and went to drop them in the reclimator for processing.
He then found one of his pajama sets, ones he didn’t wear much if ever because they were far too thin for him to wear on the station that was always so blasted cold. They would probably be far too big on the human’s thin frame, but, needs must and all that. He folded them and went to tuck them on the counter in the bathroom, keeping his head turned to be respectful.
“Are.. you giving me your pajamas?”
“You are not getting back into your uniform with the way it smells. Besides, it's already in the reclimator, and I cannot imagine you would feel comfortable walking about my quarters nude.”
He heard Julian mutter something and he frowned, “You’ll have to speak up dear, you know we cardassians have terrible hearing.”
“I said only if you were naked too.”
Silence, followed by Julian trying to talk is way out of that, “NO! I mean.. What.. I … you… it was a joke! Haha! Joke.”
It both hurt and was a relief. Of course Julian hadn’t meant anything by it. Why would a beautiful thing like him want a tired and washed up ex-spy like Garak? Besides, their friendship was far more important to Garak than anything else. “....Garak?”
“Yes?”
“You… haven’t said anything…”
“What would you like me to say?”
“I… you were supposed to laugh.”
“Why would I laugh?”
“Because you don’t want that either.”
Either? … “Julian… you are implying things.”
“Am I?”
“What do you want, Julian?”
More silence before he heard the water slosh and then there was a wet hand on his shoulder spinning him around as a pair of hot lips were on his. The mirror was across from him, and he could see Julian’s lean back reflected in the glass, the image stopped just above the swell of what Garak assumed was a very toned set of glutes. His hands floated just above Julian’s hips, he wasn’t sure what to do with himself.
Julian pulled away after a moment and looked into his eyes, and Garak swallowed past his very dry mouth, “What was that, just now?”
“A kiss, a way humans show interest in another.”
A flush was finding its way into his ridges as those nimble fingers traced up his shoulders, his neck ridges and to his ears, the fingers settling into his hair.
“What kind of interest?”
“The kind where you also get naked and you fuck me in the mattress, if I’m going to leave tomorrow I don’t want to regret never having told you… that… I always wanted more. From us.”
He took a deep breath and slowly pushed Julian away, “I will not be a one night stand Julian.”
Sadness, resignation, exhaustion and understanding passed over his handsome face before Julian sighed, “I thought as much… I… sorry.” He turned away and closed the bathroom door behind him.
The rest of the night was the definition of awkward. There was a stand off between them, of Julian trying to leave, saying he could take care of himself from here and then he’d return the PJs in the morning, and Garak insisting Julian stay out of sheer selfishness that he disguised as worry for the other’s physical well being after having consumed so much of that god awful ale.
Garak won.
As he settled on the couch with his blankets he thought about everything that had been revealed. Julian having to resign from Starfleet, Julian being augmented, his having kept that secret from Garak for five whole years, he couldn’t believe it, and then… that kiss. The last part was the most devastating, they could have had something more - and both had been too afraid to ruin a friendship. Tomorrow, when Julian vanished into the black vastness of the universe, Garak would go back to a lonely and solitary existence and when he finally fell asleep it was to half formed fantasies of could haves and what ifs.
He didn’t hear when Julian left that morning. It wasn’t until his door chime went off that Garak came to. Groaning as he sat up, he rubbed his back, he was too old to be sleeping on the couch. When he pushed the door open button, he was surprised to find a smiling Julian on the other side.
“Doctor?”
In less than 24 hours, he was on the receiving end of yet another demanding kiss from the human. Julian used Garak’s stunned state to bully his way further into Garak’s quarters.
When Garak got his hands on Julian’s shoulders and pushed the other away from him he chided, “Doctor!”
“Elim, Elim Garak. I want you. I want you, you want me - let's stop beating around the bush and do what we’ve wanted to do.”
“You’re leaving,” he reminded Julian sadly.
“Was. Things changed.”
“How.. what?”
“I’ll explain later, but I’m not leaving so this? Us? It won’t be a one night stand, I want… I want so much with you Garak.”
“You’re absolutely sure, you’re staying?”
“Positive,” Julian met his eyes and he could see no deception. Garak pulled their faces together until their forheads touched, his thumbs stroking Julian’s cheeks.
“Is this a Cardassian kiss?” Julian asked into the space between them.
“If you mean is it how Cardassian’s show they are interested in another, yes, it is an intimate gesture.”
Julian’s hands mimicked Garaks’ and for a long while they stared into each other's eyes, before Julian leaned in further and kissed Garak’s lips. Garak tried to mimic Julian hoping he could imitate the gesture that meant something to Julian.
It was awkward and delightful, little puffs of laughs as they started to explore each other. Hands dancing over planes of backs and chests, trying to find a way under the clothes that covered the other.
“Does this mean I can see you naked now?” Julian asked, “you’ve seen me.”
“Hardly, all I saw was your back.”
“You didn’t peek? How gentlemanly of you!” Julian smiled in amusement, and reached down and unzipped his jumpsuit. The black and purple garment fell to the ground leaving him in his turtle neck and undershorts.
“Waisting no time are we my dear?”
“We’ve wasted enough, we both nearly died in a dominion prison.”
“Julian… are you sure?”
Warm brown fingers interlaced with his own and tugged him towards the bed, “Yes. Garak - Elim Garak I want you to make love to me.”
“Sentiment.”
“I told you I wouldn’t learn it.”
Garak followed and when Julian’s knees hit the mattress, long arms were around his neck pulling him on top of Julian.
Julian gasped as Garak’s weight settled against the thinner frame. He assumed the worst and tried to pull away, “My dear?”
“Sorry… felt good.”
“What did?”
Those long arms pulled him back down closer as Julian rolled his hips under Garak, moaning softly. Curiously, Garak felt something poking him in his hip.
“What is that?” He lifted his body up to look down between them.
“It's.. my… eh… sex organ.”
“Goodness, already everted have you,” He teased.
“Everted?” Julian asked curiously. And the lack of understanding dawned a whole new set of questions, “I have a sinking suspicion our anatomies are not at all similar.”
Julian laughed, “We’ll figure it out, part of the fun of interspecies relations, get naked.”
And to prove a point Julian pulled his shirt over his head and now was only his undershorts.
Garak had to stand back up partially, one knee braced against Julian’s hips while his other leg supported him. Like this he could drink in the sight of this gorgeous man below him. He was wry, but even if he was thin, there was a sensual look of strength and grace. Briefly he wondered if the awkward movements he’d seen the younger man make had been an act, to throw off anyone knowing of his physical superiority? A thought and question for another time. His finger found the little divet in the middle of his abdomen and traced a nail over it.
“Thats my belly button.”
“A what?”
“You don’t have one?” Julian asked curiously. Garak shook his head and to further prove his point, he started to undo its tunic. It was endlessly thrilling to have those eyes on him, drinking in his every movement as if he were a drug. Oh this man was going to be his damnation and salvation.
He let the top slide off his shoulders and it fell to the ground with a dull thud, and Julian looked startled by the sound, “How heavy is that?”
“You can answer that question later if you still remember it to be a question,” Garak then pulled the insulating under shirt off and Julian’s pupils blew wide at the sight of his bare chest. Fingers traced up his abdomen and ghosted under his ribs, "You're gorgeous Elim.”
“Not as gorgeous as you,” he bent back over and let his lips trail over the other man’s collar bone. Julian let out a soft sigh, a hand getting tangled in Garak’s hair kept his face there for a moment before Julian chided, “Don’t distract me, get naked.”
“Patience my dear.”
“I’ve been patient, five years too patient.”
Garak laughed, “Very well, then you also need to lose those dreadful pants.”
A pair of underpants went sailing before Garak had even gotten the first button of his trousers undone. He started to reach down to touch and Julian scooted up and away from his fingers, “No touch until you meet the dress requirements.”
“When did you get so demanding?” but he didn't waste time, he lost his pants and stood before the very nude human in his own birthday suit.
“Oh… wow.”
“I hope you plan to keep me warm, because it is not completely comfortable like this.”
“Come here.”
Garak obliged and found himself instantly warmed, Julian’s every touch was like fire. Hands and tongues draw maps across each other’s body. Each of them committing to memory the little touches that made their lover gasp. Eventually Julian’s fingers trailed over his ajan, “Elim.”
“Yes?”
“Is this.. Are your sex organs internal?”
“Yes, and I'm guessing,” he booped the reddening head of what he assumed was analogous to a cardassian prUt; How oddly… cute it was, swaying and bouncing with Julian’s movements, “Yours are just… out and about.”
“If you’re concerned that it’s always like this, it’s not, only when I’m aroused.”
“Oh good, I was hoping that was the case.”
“And what of you, you mentioned ‘evert’ earlier.”
“I did.”
“Are you going to?”
“Perhaps,” he teased, “perhaps it means you need to try harder. Entice me further.”
“Is that a challenge Elim?” Julian asked with a predatory smirk and before Garak could respond, Julian had him pinned on his back. His hands were held above his head as Julian bit at one of his neck ridges. And just like that, Garak had slipped free as he growled into the sensation of being pinned. When he tried to move his arms he found Julian’s hold firm, and his body betrayed him one more time as his ajan released a flush of lubricant.
Julian leaned back to kiss his lips before moving to abuse the other side of his neck, “Enhanced, remember?”
The thrill of actually having to put forth a real effort to flip Julian back on to his back and pin him was exhilarating, “You’ve been holding back all these years? My dear will you ever cease to amaze me?”
“I hope not, I like surprising you. Also, I think I tried hard enough,” Julian was eyeing the freed organ at his groin.
“Next time, that won’t work,” Garak growled, and Julian gave him one of those beautiful smiles, “Next time? Why Mr. Garak, how so very forward of you.”
This time it was Garak who initiated the kiss, and the moan he got made him wetter. It was completely unfair how much this man got into the deepest parts of him. After a moment, Julian pushed against his chest and they breathed in each other’s air.
“I want you in me,” Julian nipped at his chin ridge. His face must have given away his confusion, “Youre… uh.. Penis? Do you call it that? I’ll figure out anatomy terms later, your… that… “he motioned to Garak’s prUt, “Goes... here give me your hand.”
Julian led his hand around until he found a small pucker of flesh. He tested it with a finger pad, it relaxed but found it was quite dry.
“Dear, I will hurt you.”
“Lube,” Julian said, running his fingers along Garak’s prUt. The fingers gathered a modicum of Garak’s fluids that had him shuddering as he watched the other man arch his back, lifting his hips off the bed and begin to work a lubricated finger into his body.
Garak sat back to observe, “Are you sure it will fit?”
“Yes, do you want to do this?”
“You seem to have it well enough in hand, and well.. I feel like I should blunt my claws if I’m going to put them anywhere in you that is … tender,” to prove a point he let his claws dig into the flesh of Julian’s thighs.
Julian hummed in agreement and continued to work his body open. Garak swept his hands along the other’s body and soon found his hand moving to touch the thick shaft of flesh that jutted up from Julian’s pelvis. His whole body jumped and Garak pulled his hand away.
“N-No. You can touch, just sensitive is all, feels good.”
He experimented by running his fingers along the various parts of the organ, and found that the tip was quite sensitive, he also noticed little beads of liquid pooling. Out of sheer curiosity he collected a small bead of the liquid on his finger tip and sucked it into his mouth. Salty, but a musky taste that Garak was certain that only belonged to Julian.
“Fuck Elim, you’re a tease and you don’t even know it.”
“Oh?” He smirked.
“Your touches, they’re so light, I promise I won’t break. You can squeeze.”
He noticed that by now Julian has worked a second finger into his body. Trusting that Julian knew his body best, he obliged the human, wrapping his fingers around the shaft and stroking it firmly. Julian arched up further, if that was possible, chasing his hand, his fingers seemed to pump harder. Friction was a good thing, which it was for Cardassians too, but it seemed for humans it wasn’t as localized as Cardassians anatomy. Humans truly were fascinating creatures.
Julian pulled his hand loose and nodded, “I’m ready, please Elim...”
“You’re su-”
“For fuck’s sake, put your dick in me, yes!” Julian growled, which sent a wave of lust right through Garak and had his prUt twitching in need. Garak got a pillow under the other’s hips and began to press into the other man's body. At first the resistance was hard to work past, but once the ring of muscle opened up, Garak was engulfed in lava. Tight, wet, scalding heat, his head dropped down to Julian’s shoulder as he suppressed a moan.
They worked through it slowly, both of them needing time to adjust to the sensation of the other. As Garak pressed further in, Julian’s moans kicked up in intensity, “Dear god, you’re thick.”
“Are you in pain?”
“No.. no.. the opposite, I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone as thick as you, and you feel amazing Elim -“ Julian’s legs clamped around his hips and he tried to pull Garak in quickly.
“Slowly my dear, slowly…”
“I’ll go mad, you can go a little faster - sweet merciful heavens how thick are you?”
When he finally bottomed out, pressed in as flush with the other as he could, they were both panting heavily. Garak could feel small quakes running through Julian’s body and he rocked back on his knees to take in the sight before him. Julian looked blissed out, eyes dazed over as his hips rocked in small jerky motions. His skin, normally a warm coffee color, was deeper, having a kind of maroon undertone to it, beads of moisture rolled off his forehead, neck and chest. Garak pulled a deep breath into his lungs and let the sex scented air run across his tongue and his secondary olfactory organ at the back of his throat.
If he ever thought Julian had smelled delicious before, he was irresistible now.
“Like what you see?” One of Julian's hands traced their nimble fingers over his chest, Garak caught the appendage and brought it to his mouth to kiss and tease the tips of those elegant fingers.
“I would have this image of you committed to memory, how beautiful you look like this, filled and wanting - leaking - all for me? I have never been blessed with such a, dare I say, divine gift.”
“Elim, you already have me in your bed, you don’t have to keep sweet talking me,” the fondness and joy on his face contradicted his dismissive statement.
“No my dear, that is where you are entirely mistaken,” he rolled his hips, both of them moaning in unison, the drag of his scales against the tight pucker of muscle surrounding his prUt was exquisite, “I would never let you forget how much I adore you.”
“And you say!” He gasped before continuing, “I’m sentimental!”
“You mustn’t ever tell.”
“Your secret is safe with me,” Julian’s hands caught the sides of his face and kissed him gently. The more they did this gesture the more Garak was finding he enjoyed it; its variations in intensity, its ability to speak and communicate different feelings so easily. Julian whispered against his lips, “you’re safe with me.”
He believed it, in Julian’s hands he would always be safe.
“And you will be with me.”
“Promise me one thing?”
“Hum?”
“No more attempts at blowing up planets with me on them?”
His ridges colored in shame, “I… yes, promise.”
“Good.” Julian kissed him again, “now, enough talking, fuck me, please.”
Garak was happy to oblige, he adjusted and started to rock his hips, grinding hard against the other. The tightness at their point of joining was incredible. He was well on his way to having his rain wash over him when Julian’s moans started taking on a distinct sound of frustration. He slowed to ask, “My dear?”
“E-Elim? How… ugh. T..there’s a.. a spot in me. Th-that feels best when you.. when you hit it..”
Garak paused, propping up on an arm to look down on Julian, confusion coloring the echoed word. “Hit?”
“Thrusting, please, the grinding is nice, but it’s not.. moving me along…”
Humans, such odd creatures, for all the delicate nature of their flesh and bone, they sure enjoyed harsh physical activities. He adjusted his hips one more time and experimentally pulled himself out almost to the tip, amused at the whine of disappointment from Julian at the loss, before snapping his hips forward sending a jolt of force through the other man’s frame. Garak was rewarded with a shout of ecstasy.
“Yes! Yes! L-like that!!”
Gentle this was not, and so unlike anything Garak had experienced (truth be told Garak had only ever had Cardassian lovers not human lovers and likely the only human he would ever consider doing this with was Julian). He alternated between punishing snaps of his hips to harsh grinding, and Julian sang louder and louder. He had never heard the doctor so vocal, yet it was like the finest classical music. His ears wanted for nothing but to hear the cries of pleasure over and over again.
With how physically taxing it was, he briefly wondered if this kind of behavior was normal in human couplings, he then wondered how any of them ever stayed so energetic. Garak was panting harshly, his mind focused on the pleasure between them when he felt Julian’s nails catch on the scales on his back as if trying to scrabble for purchase. Julian’s mindless praises took on a tone of more intense finality.
“E-Elim! I’m.. oh, fuu-un! Close! I’m close!!”
How delightful that the feeling of falling into your orgasm was a universal feeling, of knowing you are on the precipice of a flood of pleasure and needing to chase it. Redoubling his efforts, he had to hold Julian’s hips to keep him from scooting away on his thrusts. The man under him writhed, and it was only a moment more before Julian gasped and arched harshly, a keening whine sounded in Garak’s ear. Searing heat and pressure wrapped around Garak where they were joined and something wet painted his stomach. Garak nearly bent the younger man in half as he buried himself as deep as he could, the tightness an ambrosia and and after a moment his own rains crashed over him. Without realizing he’d done it, his teeth sank into the soft flesh of Julian’s shoulder as he continued to grind; his rains almost a flood and they came wave after long wave.
When there was nothing left, he went boneless, and so too did Julian under him. Their breathing was the only sound in the room. Julian’s breathing settled first and then he peppered soft kisses along Garak’s shoulder.
“Best sex ever.”
“You flatter me,” he huffed.
“That’s because you’re perfect.”
“And now you’re lying.”
Julian caught his face and kissed his lips, “Elim, you’re perfect for me. Thank you, for taking care of me last night and listening… and… and not treating me differently now that you know.”
“There is nothing that has changed about you, only that you’re far more competent in keeping secrets than I thought.”
Julian blushed and Garak kissed his jaw, down his neck and shoulder, he found something wet and he pulled away and felt a slight sensation of panic set in, “oh… I… I’m so sorry.”
“Huh, what?”
“You’re bleeding.”
Julian’s hand came up and touched his shoulder, “huh, nothing a dermal regenerator can’t handle, felt good at the time.”
“You don’t have ridges.”
“I am aware.”
“But…”
“Garak, we’re built differently, there will be little aches and pains, at least you're not a Klingon. I can handle a love bite.”
“I’ll be more careful in the future.”
“But you don’t have to.”
“But I will.”
Julian rolled his eyes in affection and stole a kiss, “want to know how to make it up to me?”
Garak rose an ocular ridge and waited, Julian smiled up at him, “we take a bath together. We did get rather sticky.”
“I have made a tactical error in letting you know I have a tub, haven’t I?
“In that I will avail myself of your quarters more frequently? Absolutely.”
“You’re incorrigible,” Garak laughed and with a groan he stood and offered his hand.
Julian took his hand and stood as well, looping his arms around his shoulders, “yes, but you wouldn’t have me any other way.”
“You’re right, let’s get cleaned up then.”
Julian followed after him and Garak was both surprised and delighted when the bath turned into more than just a bath. Why had they ignored what was clearly a mutual attraction?
