// it is two months into bella and edward’s marriage, and a month since bella’s been turned. //
bella leans across the kitchen counter top, her back arched and her shirt hitched up almost enough to see the curved line in the centre of her back. her skin was now almost as pale as edward’s, and with each passing day her eyes grew more and more worn. other than that, not much had changed, she was still the same old bella, as she was in highschool. same dark hair, same perfectly youthful glow, i mean after all, she was only 18. now forever frozen in time as a woman almost to young for her fate.
edward slowly stepped into the room “bella, i’m going out”
she blinked slowly, almost as if she was bored of his voice. recently edward had been leaving the house almost on the daily, compared to his usual clingy and over protective nature.
She wasn’t upset or angry, not even a bit, just tired. just as if when edward bit her, he took her life force with her humanity. maybe this is just what being a vampire feels like. i mean i guess “soulless”
well, she felt like this most of the time, apart from when he came over.
he being jacob, her childhood bestfriend, and sort of ex boyfriend.
Bella insisted to edward it was just innocent. After all, she is allowed to have friends. and it was crazy! his perception of her being his property, but recently he has become more and more distant.
He’s probably found another singer, bella thought half of the time, but deep down, she was secretly relieved. she didn’t want to be owned, at least not by him.
Her inner monologue was running wild, darting all kinds of condescending, regretful, grateful, and confused thoughts in her head. she didn’t know what to think about. but the one thought overrides them all. her thirst.
sure for blood, but something else purer too. she felt it in her chest, in her gut. though her heart was not beating, something was happening to it. the lustful, thirsting nature of vampires was taking her over and she could no longer fight it.
then, silencing all her worries and fantasies and sick twisted realities, the door bell rang
