Chapter Text
It all began in Scaramouche’s house, when he, Aether, Albedo and Xiao found something “interesting” on the internet, while just mindlessly browsing thru it.
— What the hell is this? — Aether asked with frown, looking at some strange video thumbnail. — “A guy and a jar”? — He read a title.
— Dude, that’s dope. — Scaramouche said, clicking on the video, absolutely not knowing what will come next.
— Wait, why does he not wearing pants… — Xiao wondered.
Then they all understood why. That’s was their first and not last collective trauma from internet - Xiao nearly threw out, Albedo didn’t reacted too much, Aether screamed and hurried to block the screen with his hands, while Scaramouche was just disgusted. But deep inside, for all the boys, this scene was buried down in their minds.
The next day, back at school, boys didn’t talked at all. But at lunch, when Childe as usually teased some middle schoolers, Scara excitedly shouted out something.
— Gosh, you’re embarrassing. — Aether muttered, shifting away from Scara on the canteen bench.
— What? That’s some nerd, are you telling me that you’re pitiful for just some nerd?
— You know, I’m a nerd too. — Albedo deadpans.
— Yeah, well… you look kinda shitty too.
— Pfft, says the emo boy.
— Hey! — soon after, the boys became new attention center in the cafeteria with their loud arguing and small food fight.
After school, Scara took them all to some “dope place” far from school, in a really destroyed neighborhood. It was kinda weird that it takes one boring class period to make them forget the fights they were in.
— So… nobody’s gonna talk about- — Albedo wanted to talk about that video they found on the internet.
— Oh my gosh, shut up Albedo. — Aether spurted out, when they were taking a walk to some abandoned house.
— Yeah, shut up.
They always brought with them Xiao (not Scara’s idea, of course), even tho he didn’t liked being involved in some “illegal” stuff.
— Guys… is it okay that the leader is literally with holes in it? — Xiao asked, worried as always.
— Uh, c’mon. It’s not like you’ll break your leg or something. — Scara demonstrated that the ladder was “perfectly fine” to climb on it. — See? Let’s go, this is gonna be dope.
While Aether and Albedo climbed up effortlessly, Xiao tried to bear with fear creeping out. Just looking down from that not-very-safe roof to the ground was making him distressed.
— See? It’s not dangerous. At. All. You’re just a pussy. — Scara mocked him, yanking him in a side hug, while looking at sunset above.
— Yeah… I guess so. — Meanwhile Xiao continues glancing down at the roof they were standing on.
— How are we gonna go back down, tho? — Albedo asked with his usual indifference.
— What do you mean? — Aether looked back at the ladder… wait, where’s the ladder?
