I lie on them and their chest rises and falls with the rhythmic sound of their breathing. They let me touch their belly.
They put their face up close to my front paw, though I could scratch their eye out. That's how much they trust me.
They never remember they already fed me. Also, their fingers knead my back when they're happy.
Sometimes they leave my territory and come back smelling like other cats and even dogs, and they stare for hours at screens while their fingers click-clack on keys, but I know their thoughts will always return to me.
