His Favorite View

Summary:

Robin appreciates the view of Regina all dressed up in her signature color, red.

Written for Day 27B of Swoon June 2026 for the prompt "Kiss on the Hand".

Notes:

Disclaimer: I do not own the canon characters of Once Upon a Time. They are the intellectual property of Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and any other respective owners. I also want to say that I stopped watching the show after Season 5, so this is a fluff scene set in any timeline you wish.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“You look gorgeous, Regina,” Robin reverently whispers, crossing the small space between them.

His crystal blue eyes firmly lock on the Queen’s stunning figure in her scarlet dress, watching appreciatively as the fabric accentuates the woman’s natural curves.

“Why, thank you,” Regina smiles widely at the compliment, her eyes crinkling in the corners with the overflowing happiness she feels around the golden-hearted thief.

“Shall we, milady? There are two young lads eagerly awaiting your arrival.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. You’re my absolute favorite view,” Robin reveals, pressing a kiss to Regina’s hand as he tenderly grasps it in his own.

Notes:

Author’s Note: Outlaw Queen was one of my earliest OTPs, back when I was just a pre-teen. Season 3 started airing when I was thirteen and I was obsessed with these two together from the very beginning. I was extremely upset for the angles the showrunners took starting in Season 4 and was disappointed in the soap opera style the show started to take on, which is why I stopped watching it after the end of Season 5. The entire Marian/Zelena plotline still infuriates me to this day because I just wanted Regina and Robin to be happy together….

I wanted to take Swoon June as an opportunity to try to get back into writing Outlaw Queen and I am proud of myself for managing to contain everything in a 100 word drabble limit. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Kudos and comments are always appreciated. Have a wonderful day, afternoon, or night, dear readers and I'll see you next time!
