Chapter Text
"Percy, wake up!" Sally called from the kitchen.
"I made pancakes! They're blue!" Percy could be heard running to the kitchen, Finding Nemo pajamas still on. He sat down and poured a... generous amount of syrup on his stack. "So, how'd you sleep?" It took a second for the words to reach Percy's mind through the sleep-fog.
"I slept alright, me and Annabeth IM'd before we went to sleep, so I managed to get some sleep." Sally smiled at her oldest, ruffling his hair as she set the pancakes down on the table. "Good, now, I'm going to go wake Paul and Estelle up, be good at school for me, okay?" She kissed the top of his head before walking back toward her and Paul's room. Percy dug into his (drowning) pancakes.
=========={My name is Linebreak! Hello :3}
Percy wanted to go back home. Mrs. Lyder was the (mortal) bane of his existence. Between tests and reading assignments that made his head swim, he was amazed his wasn't failing her class (he had a 70, but we aren't talking about that right now).
"Today, class, we're going to be starting our Greek Mythology Unit! Anyone know any Greek Mythology?" Most hands went up "Anyone know Greek Mythology for any reason other than Disney's Hercules?"
Percy could've sworn on the Styx that as about three quarters of the hands went down, Mrs. Lyder was mumbling about mythological inaccuracies and mix-ups. "Alright, I've worked with worse! Today, we are going to start with Greek Heroes! Aaron, is there a specific hero you wish to hear about?"
Aaron was the quiet kid of the football team, and the only one who cared about showing that he was intelligent at academics. "Either Heracles or Perse."
Percy knew the story of Heracles, Hades, he'd performed several of his 12 Labors, but who the Hades was the hero, Perse?
"Thank you. Class, let's begin with the story of Perse!"
Percy shivered. His head hit his desk, would the Fates ever leave him alone?
