Work Text:
Izzy loads the last box into the car. It was a workday, but he hadn't called in sick. Nor had he emailed his resignation. He saw no point in it since he wasn't wanted there anyway.
Izzy had accidentally heard what Ed said to Stede. About how he regretted even letting Izzy come along and start the company. How he wished it was someone other than that idiot.
The words Ed had spoken with a cold voice had felt like a punch to the gut.
From that moment, the work he had done for so many years meant nothing anymore and Izzy had let the important documents fall from his hands and gone home.
He had started by looking for an apartment and found one. It was a good distance away, but it didn't matter anymore. He wasn't going to come back.
He had also found a new job. Not in the same industry, but it was still a good job.
Even though it hurt, there are times when it is best for your own sake to completely break away from places and people. So, without leaving anything behind, Izzy drives off towards a new life.
