Work Text:
Alphas and omegas. Drastically different creatures.
Looking at their biological contrasts—omegas are weak. Weak minded, weak bodied.
Alphas were strong. Strong minded, strong bodied.
Of course there were outliers within their ranks. Some alphas just didn’t act like alphas—lazy, lack of motivation to do anything whatsoever. Just like some omegas were hard-working, strong ambition.
Hyunjin wasn’t one of those weak omegas. In fact, he couldn’t stand omegas. He thought they were horrific to be around, but one day he’d have to suck it up to reproduce. He didn’t care who the omega was as long as they left him the hell alone.
Marriage and reproduction isn’t something he’s necessarily focused on right now, though. He’s focused on his studies—business, of course. What else would he be majoring in? He’d signed up to live alone, he doesn’t need, nor want a roommate. They would be a burden, a frustrating noise he didn’t need to listen to everyday.
He’s just stepped into the university’s dormitory lobby, and he’s already irritated. There’s a group of omegas standing in the middle of the room. Doing nothing. There’s nothing more infuriating than omega incompetence. His family always told him to remain respectful towards this group of individuals, but sometimes they make it extremely challenging to do so.
“Excuse me,” Hyunjin grunts. They’re lucky they got such a polite warning. Yes, this was a warning. One of the omegas crane their necks to look at him. “Oh… sorry, alpha.” The omega apologizes, their voice disgustingly sultry. He hates that term. The word ‘alpha’ coming from an omega is nails on a chalkboard to him.
He walks past the group, not responding to them. Hyunjin’s already irritated and he’d just arrived. Leave it to an omega to ruin his afternoon. Hyunjin steps up to the desk, retrieving his keycard. He heads to the elevator, practically pushing past the morons in his way. People with zero respect for public spaces deserve zero respect from him.
Hyunjin presses the button, waiting for the machine to depart. Once the doors open, he steps inside, clicking on the fourth floor’s button. At least he’ll be alone now, he doesn’t think he can handle anymore idiocy.
Felix was an omega. He was a happy one too. Felix’s parents spent a pretty penny on this school. It’s quite far from where he originally lived—Australia. He already misses the weather, the beach, his friends… but this is his dream school.
Felix had signed up to live alone. He was a pretty sensitive omega. He went into heat too easily. He couldn’t risk having the misfortune of rooming with an alpha. He has big dreams too, despite being an omega.
The dormitory lobby is packed! “Oh my…” Felix thinks to himself, he’d never seen so many people packed into such a tight space. He squeezes past all of the alphas and omegas. Some alphas give him a few looks. Of course.
Felix is aware he’s an attractive, beautifully scented omega. He doesn’t want to seem narcissistic or anything, it’s just the truth. And quite honestly—being the way he is kind of sucks. Nobody takes him seriously. Felix tries not to think about it.
Felix steps towards the front desk, greeting the woman at the desk kindly. He has a little conversation with her. She’s an omega, quite old. The old woman hands Felix his keycard. He thanks her, bowing slightly. He then heads off to the elevator, maneuvering past all the people who stood in the way.
Felix waits for the elevator to depart, waiting patiently. As the doors open, he steps aside for the people exiting. A group of alphas push past him to get into the elevator. He feels his chest tighten, it doesn’t feel safe to be in there alone with them.
Felix decides to take the stairs. They’re pretty empty compared to the elevator. He’d even gotten here a bit earlier so he wouldn’t have to deal with the crowd of residents. He climbs all the way up to the fourth floor, taking a deep breath as he finally makes it. Man, he really needs to start working out… But in his defense, he’d carried up all of his suitcases and bags one by one. He deserves some credit.
Felix steps inside the dorm room. A blank canvas ready to be designed. He’d be happy to be the artist.
He hangs up his posters, hangs up his fairy lights, puts down his rugs, and makes his bed. He notices the other bed to the opposite side of the room. Felix doesn’t really think anything of it, he assumes every room has two beds even if it’s supposed to be a solo student using it.
He moves the bed over towards his, making it look like a queen sized mattress. Felix pulls the covers up and over, hiding the tiny crack that parts the beds. “So pretty,” Felix smiles, clasping his hands together. He hadn’t hauled all of those bags for nothing.
It’s a pretty big dorm room… It is an expensive school, he supposes. But, still. A bathroom—with a shower(!), a kitchen, enough room for a couch… There’s even a balcony. This is a dream for him. Considering the beautiful weather, he feels he has to go outside and enjoy the sun.
He digs into his suitcase, pulling out his chair cushions. Felix skips across the room, sliding the balcony door open. The sun feels so nice on his skin. Felix drops the chair cushions down on the two chairs.
Hyunjin enters the dorm room, expecting silence and a white wall. Instead, he finds bullshit.
Hyunjin froze in the doorway, his bag slipping from his shoulder as he took in the scene before him. The room was a riot of colors—posters, fairy lights, fluffy pillows—nothing at all like the minimalist, cold space he'd envisioned for himself.
Hyunjin’s jaw tightened as his gaze swept over the room, finally landing on the center piece. The two single beds had been shoved together, mattresses aligned to create one massive sleeping platform, piled high with fluffy pastel blankets.
It was an omega's nest. A blatant, disgusting display of softness that had absolutely no place in his life. He was under the impression he’d be living alone.
He double checks his keycard, then the number on the door. They match, alright. He tightens his fists, looking for the stupid omega.
He spots a light behind the sliding door—or what he thought was a light. He sees a head of blonde hair behind that glass door.
The sun is insanely bright today. Felix lays on a long chair, a fruity looking drink on the table beside him. His blonde hair looks golden in the beam as he basks in the sunlight.
Hyunjin's eyes narrowed as he stepped further into the room, his shoes clicking against the floor. The sunlight streaming through the balcony doors illuminated the omega sprawled out on the lounge chair like some kind of golden idol. His hair was indeed blonde—almost white—and it shimmered under the sun. He slides the door open, looking down at the omega. The sun is seeping straight into his skin.
This weather is not for Hyunjin, it’s too bright, too hot, and too humid. He prefers fall. It’s still. Not too hot, not too cold. And it’s not raining all the time like it is in spring.
The omega’s asleep, completely defenseless against the sun. He’ll be burnt. How stupid of him. Hyunjin notices his clothes first. He looks like a fucking prostitute.
Hyunjin stood there for a long moment, his arms crossed over his chest as he stared at the sleeping omega. He took in the short shorts that barely covered the omega's ass, the oversized sweater that left one shoulder bare, and the sunglasses that hid his eyes.
Hyunjin’s scent wakes Felix, his eyes fluttering open behind the sunglasses. He squints the sun in his eyes immediately, despite the sunglasses. He feels a shadow to his left, so he turns his head, like any normal person would.
He flinches as he sees a person. An alpha at that. “What…What are you doing here?” Felix asks, his voice timid. His heart is racing, although he can’t figure out why. Maybe it’s just the presence of this alpha. “This is my dorm,” Felix added.
"Your dorm?" Hyunjin's voice was low and sharp, cutting through the warm afternoon air like a blade. He took a step closer, his dark hair catching the light as he loomed over the balcony. "The university assigned me this room." His scent, cherry and pomegranate, filled the space between them.
“Oh…” Felix sits up, the oversized sweater sliding down his shoulder. “I thought I was alone,” He mutters lowly. “I was wondering why there were two beds.” His brows knit as he stands up. “Excuse me…” He smiles politely, trying to get by Hyunjin. He smells unusual for an alpha.
Hyunjin didn't move, blocking Felix's path with his broad frame. "Where are you going?" His eyes flicked down to the Omega's short shorts, a muscle in his jaw twitching. The scent of Felix—something sweet and citrusy—was suddenly overwhelming in the confined space of the balcony.
“To move the bed. I didn’t lay in it or anything, but I moved it to make a big bed for me,” Felix answers, the smile never leaving his face. He’s sweating a little, presumably from the sun. He plays with his fingers. A sign of nervousness.
“You moved my bed?" Hyunjin's voice dropped dangerously low, his dark eyes boring into Felix's hidden behind those sunglasses. The Alpha's hand shot out, gripping Felix's wrist before he could brush past. "I didn't give you permission to touch anything that belongs to me."
Felix gasps, his eyes widening as he looks up at Hyunjin through the dark lenses. “I didn’t know I had a roommate. I was told it was just me-” Felix looks up at the alpha, his heart beginning to pound. What is this alphas deal?
Hyunjin stares at Felix for a few moments. “Just move my bed back. Now.” He demands. “And don’t touch my stuff again. It has all your omega grime on it.”
He releases his wrist abruptly, watching Felix scurry toward the beds. His dark eyes traced the way the sweater dipped lower on that bare shoulder, how the shorts rode up with every hurried step. "You need to dress modestly around alphas, omega." He grunts. He hadn’t meant to sound like such a prude, but the omega’s outfit is just ridiculous.
Felix’s body tenses. “Like I said… I didn’t know I had a roommate.” Felix says as he removes each pillow from Hyunjin’s bed. He slides the bed back into its original spot, pushing the table Felix had placed there out of the way. He moves the table beside his own bed. He feels guilty for rubbing his scent all over it. He hadn’t laid on it yet, but his pillows and blankets all certainly smell like him.
Hyunjin watched the omega move his things, his expression darkening with every reveal of soft, colorful fabric. "Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.” Hyunjin complains. “This isn’t going to work, I can already tell you have no idea how to deal and live with alphas.” Hyunjin knows he’s blowing this out of proportion. But, he’s already so irritated. Things just pile up, and he can’t help but explode at this omega.
Felix looks up at Hyunjin. “Huh?” His brows furrow. This alpha is incredibly uptight.
“We need order. It’s an Alpha thing." Hyunjin leaned down, pressing his palm flat on the table beside Felix's face, trapping him. "We mark territory. We organize. You—running your little omega hands all over my shit before I was here?" The low rumble in his chest vibrated against Felix's back. "Now my bed smells like you too."
“I’m sorry-”
"‘Sorry’ doesn't erase your scent from my pillow." Hyunjin's voice was dangerously close to Felix's ear, his breath hot against the omega's neck. He could smell the citrus and vanilla more clearly now, mixed with fear and that stupidly sweet omega musk. "You're going to fix it." His hand slid from the table to grip Felix's hip, turning him around.
When did the alpha even get so close? Felix’s heart beats rapidly. He hadn’t meant to piss the alpha off this badly. If he’d known he’d have to stay with an alpha, he’d have switched immediately. He can’t relax, he’s scared. No alpha has ever been so close to him. “What are you doing?”
Hyunjin's hand tightened on Felix's hip, pulling him closer until their bodies were pressed flush together. The alpha was towering over him now, his tall frame casting a shadow over the smaller omega. "I'm going to teach you some alpha rules about sharing space."
Felix stares up at Hyunjin with wide-eyes. His lips part as he stares up at the alpha. The pheromones the alpha’s emitting are intoxicating. They’re so intense and dominant.
"First rule." Hyunjin began, his voice dropping even lower. "If I'm not around, don't touch my things. Second rule." His thumb began to trace lazy circles on Felix's hip. "If I am around, ask permission before you move anything. Even if it's just a pillow." He added, his voice raspy.
“I have to ask for permission to move stuff? Or just your stuff?” Felix questions, his brow raising. He can feel his own pheromones intensifying.
Hyunjin stared down at him, his expression dead serious. "Anything in this territory. My territory." He emphasized the word, his fingers pressing slightly harder into Felix's hip to make sure the point landed. "If you see something lying on a table, a cushion on the couch, or even a book on the floor, you ask me before you touch it. Understand?"
Felix blinks. He isn’t allowed to touch anything? At all? The pheromones Hyunjin’s releasing makes him want to obey. Well, not him, but his omega instincts. The omega in him wants to listen to the alpha. He fights the instinct with all his might.
“That’s not possible.”
"It is when you're living with an Alpha." Hyunjin leaned down closer, his lips almost brushing Felix's ear. "We get territorial about our space. Especially when there's an omega involved." His nose flared as he inhaled Felix's scent again. This omega’s scent is enthralling.
"You don’t touch my stuff, the furniture, the kitchen counters, the remote control." Hyunjin's hand slid from Felix's hip to his lower back, keeping them pressed together. "Even the dishes in the sink need my permission to be moved. You want to wash something? Ask me first."
Felix looks up at Hyunjin, his chest tight. He feels a throb between his thighs. How utterly repulsive of him. He snaps out of whatever daze he was locked in, standing up for himself.
“That’s not happening. I’m not asking you for permission to sit down or to wash a dish. Are you going to prohibit me from using the bathroom next because it’s a toilet and a shower you also use?” Felix counters, his voice squeaking slightly. His deep voice hardly ever squeaks. So embarrassing. What is this alpha’s presence doing to him?
A low, dangerous growl rumbled in Hyunjin's chest, vibrating against Felix's body. "Smart mouthed omega." He leaned in until their noses were brushing. "You can use the bathroom freely. But anything outside of that, anything in the shared living space is under my jurisdiction. You don't move, touch, or clean a single thing without asking me first.” He states again.
Felix lets out a shaky breath. “Why?” He asks, pulling his face back from Hyunjin’s. They’re way too close. There’s no way Hyunjin’s not affected by their proximity. It’s in their biology to be affected.
"Because order keeps the peace." Hyunjin’s grip tightened, his patience wearing thin but his tone remaining dangerously calm. "Because an alpha’s territory is his sanctuary. Things go where I put them for a reason. You start moving things, and it disrupts the scent-marking, the balance, and my control. You are a guest, omega. You follow my rules." He says as if he’s enforcing a law.
Felix’s eyes narrow. He scans the room carefully, noticing Hyunjin’s unpacked bag on the floor beside the door. “Looking around, all you have is a suitcase lying on the floor. This place was decorated to be my sanctuary. I’m not a guest, I’m a roommate. You don’t have any of your belongings around.” He argues. It isn’t necessarily safe for an omega to argue with an alpha. Things always get…
Hyunjin’s jaw tightened, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the room, realizing with a jolt of irritation that Felix was right. The space felt sterile, void of any personal touch, dominated only by Felix’s open suitcase. "I haven't unpacked," he snapped, a defensive edge creeping into his tone. "That doesn't change the dynamic.”
“Are you planning on moving my things?”
"If you don't ask me before you move mine, then yes," Hyunjin replied, his tone firm. "I might move your things to make room for mine. I might rearrange the furniture to suit my preferences." Hyunjin backs up from Felix’s space to identify what he wants to change about this unicorn-vomit, bullshit dorm room.
“Do my preferences not matter? It’s a shared space, we should compromise instead of arguing.” Felix suggests, still looking up at him. He’s trying so hard to be polite. He’s also trying not to let his omega instincts override his senses. The alpha is still releasing dominant pheromones into their space. Such radiation should be contained. What alpha doesn’t wear suppressants?
“Fine. Compromise.”
“I don’t want it bland.”
“I don’t want it to be a mess. I want to choose the colors and the layout.”
There are those obnoxious alpha instincts again. It’s ridiculous.
“No, that’s not compromising, that’s you doing whatever you want.” Felix huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
"It is compromising!" Hyunjin argued, his voice rising. "I'm giving you a say in the decoration, but I'm also asserting my alpha right to have control over the space! We can't both have full control. Someone has to make the final decisions." Hyunjin’s temper’s rising again. He hates giving up his full control. It isn’t something he’s used to doing.
“Why are you yelling at me?” Felix looks at Hyunjin with wide eyes. The outburst isn’t all that shocking, but he’d thought he broke through the hostility at least a little. Hyunjin seemed calmer five seconds ago.
The sudden fear in Felix's voice made Hyunjin freeze, his heart rate spiking. He hadn’t meant to yell. "I'm not yelling." He said quickly, softer now. "I'm negotiating." He added lamely.
“That’s… not what you were doing. I want this place to reflect us both.” Felix corrected, keeping his voice warm and faint. He doesn’t want to anger Hyunjin further.
His pride deflates under Felix's gentle but firm words. He watched the Omega's face—the slight tremble, the hurt in those wide eyes—and felt like an asshole. "Okay," he breathed, dropping the attitude. "Okay, you're right. I'll... let you pick some things. Together."
“I already have the place mostly decorated since I didn’t know you were coming.” Felix says. “Look around and tell me what you don’t like and what you can tolerate.” Felix gestures to the room as a whole.
Felix steps into the kitchen. “Let’s start here first.” The table cloth is white lace, a flower vase in the middle. A pale yellow pillow is sat on the three chairs. Hyunjin winces at the color. Nothing he’d have chosen himself. It’s… too much.
The pots and pans are regular black and silver colored. The hand towels and dishes are white and yellow, and Felix had placed a string of fairy lights on the cabinets as well.
Hyunjin’s eyes scan the space with a critical eye. The lace tablecloth made his nose wrinkle slightly—it seemed fussy and difficult to clean. The yellow accents were... bright. Very bright. But the fairy lights were actually kind of nice, casting a warm glow over everything. "The yellow is a lot," he started cautiously.
Felix opens the cabinets. They’re filled with ingredients and tupperware. The plates are glass, the bowls are plain, and the cups are… quite whimsical. They look like Felix’s personal cups rather than just random ones.
Hyunjin opened a cabinet, surprised by how organized everything was. The cups caught his eye—some were patterned with cats, others had colorful designs. Another thing he wouldn’t have in his personal space.
"The fairy lights are nice," Hyunjin admitted, running a finger along the soft glow. "And you clearly organized everything. But the yellow..." He gestured vaguely toward the towel, "...could we maybe mix in some gray or black? So it's not so overwhelming?" He peeked back at the whimsical mugs. "These stay. They're… obviously yours personally.”
“And the lace tablecloth is hideous. It’d be a bitch to clean.” Hyunjin adds.
Felix sighs heavily, not wanting to give up his colors. “Let’s do white and gray. A simple white tablecloth? Will that do? I really don’t like the color black.” Despite what Felix says, his pants are black. “…Interior design wise…” Felix corrects, also noticing his black shorts.
"White and gray works," Hyunjin agreed, stifling a smirk at Felix's clarification. He looked down at the omega’s black shorts, biting back a comment. He decided to change the subject instead. "What about the living room?"
The two go through each room. Hyunjin nitpicks each and every one of Felix’s interior design choices. Felix has a witty retort up his sleeve to counter each comment.
They reach the storage room. Nothing at all is in there. Nothing interesting, at least.
“Okay. The last room is empty, I already had the mover move the washer and dryer in so I—we… didn’t have to go to a laundry mat. I think I just have my metals and trophies there in a box too.” Felix points out to the box. Hyunjin followed Felix into the last room, raising an eyebrow at the sight of the newly installed appliances."That's one less thing to worry about." He spotted the box of trophies and medals in the corner. "Those yours?" He asked, gesturing at the box.
The alpha was genuinely curious. An omega with that amount of trophies was appalling to Hyunjin. What could he possibly be a pro in?
Felix simply nods, acting nonchalant about the awards.
Hyunjin walks over to the box, crouching down to inspect the contents. His eyes widened slightly as he pulled out a few—Felix had medals from multiple events, ribbons, and even a couple of trophies for different competitions. "You compete?" He glanced up at Felix, a hint of surprise in his voice. "In what?"
“Taekwondo.” Felix smiles, placing his hands on his hips. “I stopped my senior year of high school.” He reveals. He’d stopped to come to university, not because he wanted to. Not really.
Hyunjin paused, looking from the gold trophies back to Felix. He knew enough about Taekwondo to know it wasn't just a casual hobby; it required discipline and serious skill. "Senior year?" He repeated, setting the trophy back into the box carefully. "That implies you were pretty good. Black belt?"
Felix nods, confirming Hyunjin’s suspicion.
Hyunjin let out a low, appreciative hum, looking at the smaller omega with new eyes. A black belt in Taekwondo explained the confidence Felix carried, despite his soft demeanor. It changed things—Felix wasn't just some pretty, fragile thing like the other omegas he’d met. He could handle himself. "Impressive," Hyunjin admitted, standing back up to his full height.
“I’m still not really that strong actually.” Felix shrugs. “I can do cool moves and all, but my friends always toss me around no problem. It’s annoying…” He maybe shouldn’t have told Hyunjin that. This alpha still isn’t very trustworthy. He’s still a ticking time bomb.
“Technique matters more than raw strength sometimes." He considered Felix's slim build, realizing the omega probably was easier to pick up and toss around. "Show me something?"
“Huh?”
“Show me a move.”
Felix laughs a little, suddenly feeling bashful. He wants him to show him a trick?
He thinks of what’s the easiest thing to do without messing up before doing a roundhouse kick. Maybe the alpha doesn’t know anything about taekwondo.
Hyunjin's eyes widened slightly as Felix executed the roundhouse kick with impressive precision and fluidity. The movement was sharp, controlled, and surprisingly powerful for someone so small.
Hyunjin seems impressed. Good. That was incredibly sloppy. For him.
Felix decides to change the subject.
Food plans.
“How do you want to do cooking arrangements?”
"We could take turns?" Hyunjin suggests, leaning his shoulder against the doorframe. "Or whoever feels like cooking that night cooks, and the other cleans. That seems fairest." He paused, thinking about his own habits. "I'm decent in the kitchen, but I'm not a gourmet chef or anything. Just basic meals." He looked at Felix, trying to gauge his preference.
“I figured we’d switch too. And we can write down a dinner plan. I’m… kind of picky though.” Felix warns, already placing his hand over his stomach.
"What are you picky about?" Hyunjin asks, stepping closer with his arms still crossed, genuinely curious. Most omegas had certain dietary preferences, but he wanted to know what Felix's were.
"Dairy? Meat? Spicy food?" He mentally noted to start a shared grocery list on his phone. "We can make a meal plan together—rotate who picks what nights."
“I don’t like spaghetti. My spice tolerance is mid. I can’t stomach dairy every night. And I hate mustard and ranch.” Felix writes off.
"Noted," Hyunjin said immediately, pulling his phone out to type the specifics into his notes. "No spaghetti, spicy is good, kind of. Light on the dairy, and absolutely no mustard or ranch." He looked up from his screen with a faint smirk. "That actually makes things pretty easy. I love spicy food, so we’re aligned there. Sort of.”
“I love fruit. Any kind.”
“I could tell. When we first met, you had a glass of some sort of pink drink beside you. I figured it was a fruit drink.”
Felix smiles at that.
Hyunjin smiles too. They’re getting somewhere.
Hyunjin slips his phone back into his pocket. "That makes this manageable then. We'll figure out a meal rotation that works around your preferences." He leaned back against the doorframe, crossing his arms again. "Since we've got the room situation and the food situation sorted, is there anything else we need to figure out?"
“You said I need your permission to do… basically anything. And I don’t like that. Let’s negotiate that.” Felix looks up at Hyunjin, his eyes pleading.
Hyunjin stiffened slightly, the casual ease in his posture vanishing. He'd expected this conversation eventually, but he'd hoped for a bit more rapport first. "That's a fundamental part of the arrangement," he said carefully, his voice losing some of its previous lightness. "I'm an alpha, Felix. I'm supposed to be in charge."
Hyunjin’s back to being frustrated.
“I’m not tied to you in any sort of manner. I don’t mind you running a relationship like this with a partner, but I’m your roommate, not your omega.” Felix reminds the alpha. Actually, he would probably mind that. That’s a little too much possession. His father, an alpha, didn’t need that much control.
Hyunjin's jaw tightened, his eyes flashing with a hint of alpha dominance. "Semantics," he snapped, pushing off the doorframe to stand up straight. "Roommate or partner, the dynamic is the same. You're an omega living with an alpha. My rules apply."
There it is again. Those dominant alpha pheromones that made Felix feel so hot. His lips part as cherry and pomegranate invades his space. They make him want to obey. To submit to Hyunjin. They make him want to get on his knees and worship the ground this alpha walks on.
“I bought everything in here. It’s a dorm room, not an apartment. None of this is ours forever other than the stuff we bring and buy.” Felix points out, trying to seem confident.
Hyunjin paused, his stance faltering slightly at Felix's logic. The omega had a point, they weren't married, weren't bonded, weren't even in a relationship. They were just two people forced to coexist. He exhaled through his nose, forcing himself to unclench. "Fine," he conceded through gritted teeth. "What do you want then? A compromise?"
Felix is eternally grateful to God that Hyunjin hasn’t noticed how bothered he is by his sensual pheromones.
“I won’t touch anything of yours without your permission. But you can’t permit me from anything else. Anything.” Felix emphasized.
Hyunjin ran a hand through his hair in frustration, torn between his instinctual alpha need to control and the practicality of Felix's argument. "So, what? You want free rein to do whatever you want?" He stepped closer, his tall frame looming over Felix slightly. "No boundaries?"
“None.” Felix shakes his head. “We’re just going to stress each other out if we argue over such a stupid thing. If you were my alpha, I’d still think it’s kind of strange.” He looks up at Hyunjin, still managing to stand tall despite the pheromones being released.
Felix’s own suppressants hide his arousal quite well. They’re expensive. They better hide his arousal. He’s sure Hyunjin’s alpha nose can kind of get a whiff of it, though. He can’t help it, Hyunjin smells too good.
Hyunjin's expression shifted. He usually expected Omegas to be more... compliant. But Felix had a point, if they were truly just roommates, this level of control was unreasonable. "No boundaries," he repeated, testing the words.
“You can touch my things if they’re in your way. But nothing on my bed.” Felix states, his voice as calm and collected as it can be.
Hyunjin stared at him for a long moment, wrestling with his alpha instincts that screamed against giving up control. But looking at Felix—practical, grounded, and completely uninterested in submitting—he realized fighting this would be a losing battle. "Deal," he finally agreed, stepping back to give Felix space. "Your bed is your territory. Everything else is fair game."
“And the same thing for you?”
“Of course.” Hyunjin assures. “No power dynamics.”
”And during heats and ruts…” Felix starts… but he doesn’t finish.
Hyunjin's expression immediately turned serious, his playfulness disappearing at the mention of such intimate, biological needs. "Right," he said slowly. "That's... actually the biggest logistical hurdle." As an alpha, his ruts would be intense and unpredictable.
“You can have the dorm during your ruts, and I can have the room during my heats.” Felix nods to himself. “Is that good?”
Hyunjin's eyes widened slightly, impressed by Felix's pragmatic approach. He nodded, appreciating the fairness of the suggestion. "That works," he agreed. "I'll take the room during my ruts, and you have it during your heats. We'll coordinate schedules to minimize overlap.”
“What if it’s spontaneous?”
“Then… shit.”
Felix sits on the couch, all sprawled out. He didn’t have any classes today, thank God. He feels lazy today.
Hyunjin however, had classes all day. He was grouchy and irritated. He’s usually grouchy and irritated. But, Felix had managed to break a few of his walls down.
Felix was like this unstoppable force. Hyunjin couldn’t help but allow the omega to bulldoze his supposed hatred for omegas. He’d be the exception.
He’s so easy to get along with. It’s like he’s not even interacting with an omega. He had dreams and aspirations that aren’t getting married to an alpha and having children. Felix wants to be a nurse.
Felix does taekwondo. Felix wants to be a nurse. Felix has spinal issues. Felix’s spice tolerance isn’t as good as he said it was. Felix’s favorite color is blue. Felix’s favorite food is chicken and kimchi jjigae.
Oh. Oh. Hyunjin knows too much about this omega. Way too much. How embarrassing.
Hyunjin came into the dorm hating everything about omegas. Their biology, their whiny-ness, their whole species was just something he didn’t want around him.
But Felix. He was the exception. His achilles heel. He was sweet, mindful, smart. Ambitious.
He didn’t mean to eulogize him. But, he’s perfect.
This was something Hyunjin couldn’t grasp. Why does he feel this was about an omega? He hates feeling this way about anything. He needs to focus on his classes. But, he can’t. He’s aggravated. His pheromones are off the roof, filling the room.
He needs to calm the hell down.
“How bad are your heats?”
“What?”
Hyunjin sighs. It was a random question. He doesn’t know why he’s asking it. Maybe he’s just curious.
“My heats are super intense. I’ve been taking suppressants, but sometimes they don’t work. Heats usually last three days for me.” Felix answers, his voice melodic.
Another thing about that omega—he loves to sing and hum. He loves listening to the man, even if he pretends to be annoyed. Even if he commands him to be quiet. He enjoys it.
Felix’s words finally go to Hyunjin’s brain as he snaps out of whatever disgusting fantasy he was stuck in. He knew omegas could suffer horribly during heats, and the fact that Felix was taking suppressants only to have them sometimes fail spoke volumes about how intense his heats were. "How bad are we talking here?"
“Unbearable.”
His alpha instincts stirred uncomfortably at the thought of Felix suffering like that. "Three days of agony?” He hated saying those words. The thought of Felix having to suffer because of his biology made him want to throw up.
They just met. We just met. He has to remind himself of that constantly.
“The first day is the worst. Second day is awful, and the third day it’s like, just really… horny. Not necessarily painful or whatever.” Felix doesn’t look at Hyunjin as he speaks. He’s still laying on the couch, sprawled out like starfish.
Hyunjin processed the information, his mind racing with implications. It sounds like Hyunjin’s nightmare. Dealing with unwanted pain and cramps in his lower abdomen area sounds like a pain in the ass. Inconvenient.
The third day… Hyunjin’s stomach flips as the word ‘horny’clicks. His fists ball up. His pheromones spike. It wasn’t enough to let Felix know he’s interested. It could just mean he’s feeling protective of his roommate.
“Are you coherent?”
“It depends.”
Hyunjin nodded, understanding the unpredictability of it all. He leaned back against the bedstand, crossing his arms. "We definitely need a strict protocol for days one and two."
“If worse comes to worst, I can call someone to help.” Felix sits up. He sounds completely nonchalant saying that.
The mention of someone else helping immediately made Hyunjin’s hackles rise, his alpha instincts bristling violently at the mental image of another alpha, or just anyone, really, touching Felix while he was vulnerable. His jaw tightened visibly. "Who?" he asked, his voice sharper than before.
“Do you know Bangchan?” Felix asks. “Super respectful and compassionate.” Felix feels the air in the room shift. Is Hyunjin mad? At what? They’d agreed to give each other space during their cycles, had they not?
"Bangchan?" Hyunjin repeated, his expression softening slightly at the name. He knew Bangchan—one of the most respected alphas in their social circle, known for his gentle nature and unwavering loyalty. "Yeah, I know him,"
Bangchan is nice. A friend to all. But the thought of Bangchan’s hands on Felix makes his pheromones burst. He stands up, his footsteps heavy as he approaches Felix.
“He’s helped before, never marked or knotted me despite being heavily affected.” Felix smiles to himself. He looks up at Hyunjin as the alpha approaches.
“Do you always need another person to help you?”
“First day… nothing really helps. Other than being knotted. It happened once, heat went away. Still felt horny, of course… but I wasn’t in pain anymore.” Felix explains, sitting up on the couch. Hyunjin seems weirdly curious about his heat cycle. It makes sense, he supposes.
Hyunjin's Adam's apple bobbed as he took in Felix’s words. Being knotted meant being bred—marked even. He swallowed hard, pushing down a wave of possessiveness that surged through him at the thought. "So you need an Alpha to help you through the worst of it," he stated flatly, though his mind was already running scenarios.
Another man’s hands on Felix. Another man’s lips on Felix. Another man’s tongue on Felix. Another man’s dick inside Felix.
Hyunjin can’t control the wave of pheromones he lets loose. He can’t help it. He wants to help Felix through heat. He wants to be the one Felix comes to. Not Bangchan. Not anybody else.
"And nothing else helps?" Hyunjin pressed, trying to understand the severity of what Felix was dealing with. "Painkillers? Toys? Cold showers?"
“Nope. Just knotting. Multiple orgasms are so exhausting, it’s the worst.” Felix complains.
A beat of silence goes by. Hyunjin doesn’t know what to say. He thinks. He wants to keep talking to him. To hear that pretty, deep, mellow voice.
“When’s your next heat due? And when do they usually happen?”
“I think the 26th. I don’t have that tracker app like everyone else does.” Felix shrugs his shoulders noncommittally. “I usually get hit in the late night, though.”
"Of course it is," Hyunjin muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose. No warning during the day—just abruptly waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat, in unbearable pain.
"And if you call Bangchan that late... he won't hesitate to come?"
“It depends.”
"It depends?" Hyunjin's jaw clenched at the vagueness of the answer. Bangchan obviously can’t handle this. Not like he could. If Felix woke up in the middle of the night, Hyunjin’s right here to help.
“He’s busy sometimes. He comes later in the morning for me.” Felix defends Bangchan.
"So you suffer through hours of unbearable pain alone," Hyunjin states flatly, his tone darkening. The image of Felix alone in the dark, hurting, waiting for relief that may or may not come... it made something dangerous twist in his gut. He took a step closer, crowding Felix's space unintentionally.
Felix looks up at Hyunjin. “What?” He looks utterly confused, his eyes shining.
"What?" Hyunjin practically growled, his hands balling into fists at his sides. He was angrier than he should have been, more frustrated than the situation called for. "You're telling me you sometimes have to wait hours for help during your heats?" That’s unacceptable in Hyunjin’s book. Felix deserves every ounce of attention Bangchan can spare. Otherwise, he’s unfit for taking care of Felix.
“Calm down… it’s not like Chan has to come.” Felix stands up to face Hyunjin. He kept his voice soft, not wanting to tick off the alpha anymore than he already was.
"No," Hyunjin cut in sharply, his chest tightening with something unnameable. He stepped even closer, close enough that he could smell the faint traces of Felix's scent—sweet and warm, making his alpha side stir. "You said nothing helps except knotting during the worst of it. So if Chan can't come..." He swallowed hard. "You just suffer?"
That doesn’t sit right with Hyunjin. He inhales Felix’s scent, his pheromones buzzing. God, he smells too good. Even with the suppressants blocking his true aroma. He can’t help himself.
“H…Hey, you’re letting out a lot of pheromones.” Felix’s face flushes, his eyes glazing over. The intoxicating scent of cherry and pomegranate seeps into his senses, overriding his suppressants.
Hyunjin's pheromones were flooding the room—sharp, intense waves of alpha dominance and protective instinct that Felix could practically taste. He felt his own body responding involuntarily: his pulse quickening, his cheeks flushing, his scent glands tingling with a sweet omega response.
Hyunjin’s body is hot. His hands reach out to Felix, pulling him closer. He grips Felix’s arms, holding him against him.
“Hyunjin…” Felix whimpers. He’s being forced into heat. The pheromones ooze into Felix’s nostrils. It smells so good. His defenses are crumbling. His defenses being his suppressants.
"Shut up," Hyunjin snapped, his voice thick with desire. His hands tightened on Felix's arms, his thumbs brushing against the sensitive undersides. Felix's whimper only made things worse—Hyunjin's knot started to swell slightly, pressing against his pants uncomfortably.
Felix looks up at Hyunjin again, his own pheromones wafting into the air.
Citrus and vanilla pulse around Hyunjin as he inhales. He closes his eyes, his lips parting.
Hyunjin's gaze dropped to Felix's neck when he opened his eyes, his jaw clenched tight. He could see the rapid pulse point throbbing just beneath the surface, smell the sweet omega essence pouring off Felix in waves. His canines began to ache, his body preparing itself without his consent. "Fuck,”
“I think… you’re forcing me into heat… with your scent…”
Hyunjin's eyes snapped back to Felix's face, realization dawning. His pheromones—uncontrolled, aggressive—were overpowering Felix's already sensitive system. "Shit!” He tried to step back but his body refused, primal instinct rooting him in place. "Felix, breathe through it. Don't let it take you."
Hyunjin says this, yet he doesn’t move. He wants to help Felix so badly. He wants to be the one to fuck him through his heat.
Felix’s legs squeeze together. He leans into Hyunjin, his thighs rubbing against each other. His lips part, his pheromones flowing freely now. His suppressants are useless against Hyunjin’s powerful alpha scent glands.
Hyunjin watches Felix squeeze his legs together, a knee-jerk reaction to the sudden cramping and slick beginning to gather. The sweet scent of impending heat was thickening the air rapidly, replacing the previous neutral smell. "Stop squeezing," Hyunjin ordered roughly, fighting his own instincts to pin Felix down. "You're making it worse."
“Feels so good, alpha,” Felix breathes out. His senses are completely overtaken by the omega instinct within him. The instinct to submit, to obey, to breed.
The admission hit Hyunjin like a punch to the gut. "Felix," he groans, his voice unraveling. He could see the omega trembling in his grip, flushed and desperate, already sliding into the heat he wasn't supposed to have for over a week. His mind raced—how bad would this be? Would Felix need to be knotted?
He selfishly hopes so. He wants Felix. He wants this omega more than he wants to earn his degree if he’s being honest.
Felix’s scent wafts through Hyunjin’s nose every time he has to breathe. He’s going to lose control.
The omega releases another wave of powerful, needy pheromones. He rubs his cheek against Hyunjin’s chest, craving release and physical comfort.
Hyunjin's breath caught in his throat, his grip on Felix's arms faltering as the omega's scent slammed into him. Sweet, desperate, needy—nothing like the lingering traces from earlier. This was full heat pheromones, and they were dragging at Hyunjin's control like chains.
“Alpha…” Felix continues to rub his head against Hyunjin like a cat. He’s completely delirious now. He pulls at Hyunjin’s shirt.
"Stop!" Hyunjin shouted, grabbing Felix's wrists to still his frantic movements. The omega was burning up, his skin scorching hot to the touch, completely lost to the sudden onset of heat. "Felix, look at me. You aren't thinking straight." But the plea was useless; Felix was already gone, panting and tugging at his clothes.
“Alpha, touch me…” Felix begs, his eyes glistening with lust. His hair is in his face, sticking to his forehead. He looks so desperate.
“I need you… it hurts…” Felix cries, headbutting Hyunjin’s chest. “Mark me.” He buries his face in Hyunjin’s neck, inhaling his scent.
Hyunjin's control snapped. The moment Felix buried his face in his neck, his canines elongated instinctively, breaking the skin as he marked Felix without hesitation. His arms wrapped around the omega, pulling him flush against his body as he bit down hard, claiming scent marking him deeply. He’s supposed to hate omegas.
Felix moans loudly, his head falling back. His slick soaks through his striped shorts. He’s in full heat now, thanks to Hyunjin.
The loud moan tore through the room, and the smell of slick saturating the air was devastating. Hyunjin stared at the wet spot darkening Felix's shorts, his alpha instincts roaring in triumph while his mind reeled in horror. He was an alpha who despised omegas, yet here he was, triggering a heat and claiming one.
But this is Felix. He’s special. He’s perfect.
“You’re soaked, omega.”
“Help me, alpha.”
The plea shattered the last of Hyunjin's restraint. Every instinct screamed at him to take, to knot, to breed. "I've got you," he gritted out, lifting Felix effortlessly despite his internal war. He carried him toward the bed. The omega is so light.
Felix is lifted into Hyunjin’s bed, his legs wrapping around the alpha’s waist. His arms wrap around his neck, holding him as they fall on the mattress.
Hyunjin groaned as Felix's legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer to the omega's scent. He could feel the dampness through his shorts, smell the sweet musk of heat. So enticing. He feels he must indulge.
“Alpha… please… I’m so…” Felix rolls his hips into Hyunjin’s, rubbing his core along the alpha’s clothed throbbing knot. Felix moans at the feeling, releasing a new wave of needy pheromones.
Hyunjin’s hands sprawl out over Felix’s thighs, spreading them open. The scent of citrus and vanilla hits him all at once. Fuck. He lifts Felix’s hips, burying his face in the omega’s clothed crotch. He inhales the slick stained shorts, his eyes rolling back into his skull.
Felix’s head tips back, the mark Hyunjin left on full display. It’s already turned purple. Felix lets out girlish whines, pushing his hips up into Hyunjin’s face. He just wants to be filled, knotted, fucked by an alpha.
He pulls back to breathe in the fresh air, rather than just Felix’s intoxicating slick covered shorts. But, the mark on Felix’s neck catches his eye immediately.
Hyunjin stared at the fresh mating mark, dark purple against Felix's pale skin. It would be a permanent brand now, everyone would know this omega belonged to him. "What have I done," he muttered under his breath.
The regret was drowned out by the sight of Felix arching beneath him, leaking slick onto his sheets. The omega tugs at his clothes, trying to remove his shorts. His eyes darken, watching the omega fumble around with the cotton.
"Stop," Hyunjin commanded sharply, grabbing Felix's wrists. He knew if the omega got naked, he'd lose the last shreds of his control. "You're not helping." His voice came out rougher than intended, strained with desire and frustration.
“Alpha… I need your knot.”
Hyunjin's body convulsed at the words, his knot swelling instantly in his pants. The sheer hatred he held for omega biology warred with the primal need to give Felix what he craved.
This is what he hates about omegas. They’re too easy. They’re designed to be incubators. But, this is Felix. Felix isn’t easy. Felix wants to be a nurse. Felix doesn’t want a family yet. No, Felix has a life. He doesn’t hate Felix. Felix isn’t an incubator. He doesn’t deserve to he used.
Felix whimpers, pushing his hips up into the alpha’s. “Hurts…” He cries, his delicate hands sliding up Hyunjin’s chest to grip his shirt.
The whimper of pain pierced through Hyunjin's haze of anger and control. Felix wasn't just horny, he was genuinely suffering from heat cramps. Hyunjin's alpha instincts surged to the forefront, overriding his restraint temporarily. "Roll over,"
Felix rolls onto his stomach, pushing his ass up. He humps the mattress, his hips grinding in slow circles. He’s delirious, drool’s even dripping down his lips.
Hyunjin stared at the picture Felix painted, ass in the air, slick-soaked shorts clinging to his crack. Every alpha instinct he possessed screamed at him to strip those shorts off and knot the omega right there.
“Alpha… knot…”
Hyunjin groaned, finally giving in. He tore Felix's shorts off, throwing them across the room. The smell of heat and slick hit him full force, making his vision blur. He leans over Felix, his face pressing against the omega’s core. He closes his eyes, inhaling the scent again, making Felix shiver beneath him.
Hyunjin moans softly, the wetness against his face sends him into a daze. His tongue darts out, gliding over the slick in a sloppy line. The omega lets out a satisfied whine, slick leaking onto Hyunjin’s face.
Hyunjin pulls back and yanks his own pants down just enough to free his aching, thick cock, already leaking pre-cum and forming a knot at the base.
This was wrong. So wrong.
Felix’s pussy leaks an obscene amount of slick. The sight should be disgusting, seeing his perfect, angel Felix arched up like a slut. But, it’s not. It’s gorgeous, it makes him want to claim.
Felix's pussy was red and swollen, dripping slick like a faucet. Alpha instincts took over completely—he grabbed his thick length and rubbed the head against Felix's wet hole, teasing the omega with his knot.
Felix moans, his head falling back. “Alpha… I’ll be a good boy…” Felix promises, spreading his legs wider. He begs and pleads for Hyunjin’s swelling knot.
Hyunjin's chest heaved at the submissive words. A good boy? Seeing Felix beg was not something Hyunjin expected to happen so early on. But he invites it. He’s never met an omega like Felix. With such drive, such ambition. Yet, still nurturing, still kind, just like an omega should be.
Hyunjin’s infatuated.
He'd be the best boy if Hyunjin knotted him right now. The alpha's hands gripped Felix's hips, pulling them up higher. "You're gonna take my knot, aren’t you?"
“Yes!”
Hyunjin pushes the thick head of his cock against Felix's entrance, feeling the omega clench and leak even more. "Say please." He presses in just an inch, watching Felix whimper and push back desperately.
Felix cries, squirming in the mattress. “Please…. Please! It hurts, I need you!” Felix begs again.
Hyunjin shoves all the way in, bottoming out with a groan. Felix's walls clenched and fluttered around him. "Tight little thing," he grunted.
He’s inside Felix. It’s wet, tight, and completely perfect. His knot was swelling rapidly, filling Felix inch by inch.
Hyunjin begins to move his hips slowly, slick making obscene sounds with each thrust.
Felix also makes obscene sounds with every thrust. The omega sounds so beautiful under him. He looks down to see their bodies connected. Hyunjin’s alpha cock sliding in and out of Felix’s omega pussy. It makes him move faster.
“This is what you wanted, omega?” Hyunjin grunts, slamming in and out of the omega. He can’t hold back any longer.
“Yes! Oh my God!” He screams out in ecstasy, his legs spreading wide. “Alpha…!” Felix is writhing beneath the alpha. Hyunjin’s knot rocks harshly into his spot, sending shockwaves through his system.
"Fuck, such a pretty mouth," he hissed, picking up speed. Hyunjin’s knot was almost fully formed now, ballooning behind his pubic bone. Each thrust pushed it further into Felix, stretching him impossibly wide. "You're taking it so good, omega.” He praises. “You’re mine, aren’t you? My pretty omega. My wet, tight, gorgeous omega.” His hand slaps down on Felix’s ass cheek.
Felix’s eyes roll back at the praise. His body goes slack beneath Hyunjin. He can’t hold himself up any longer. The pleasure is too much, too intense. He finds himself melting into the alpha’s demand for control, surrendering completely to the feeling of being owned. The alpha’s knot makes his pussy feel too good to resist.
“That’s it, baby.” Hyunjin encourages. He can feel the omega tightening around his thick cock. He can feel the overwhelming throbs of the omega’s walls. “Fuck, are you gonna come for me, Felix?” His hands slide over Felix’s sweat slicked back, making the man shudder.
Felix lets out a strangled cry, wanting nothing more than to come. “Alpha… help me.” He pleads, his eyes shimmering with tears. The sensations he’s feeling are like nothing he’s ever felt before. He intentionally squeezes around Hyunjin, making the alpha grab his hips.
Hyunjin’s hand reaches beneath Felix, circling his finger over his clit, making Felix mewl. He wants the omega to come before him. How embarrassing. He cares more about an omega’s pleasure than his own.
But, this is Felix. The omega’s head falls forward, pushing into Hyunjin’s pillow. Drool and spit drips down his lips as he finally comes. His pussy spasms around the alpha’s cock, his body tensing and pushing up to take more of Hyunjin’s knot.
Hyunjin felt Felix's hole clench desperately around his thickening knot, the omega's thighs shaking violently on either side of him. "That's it. Take it, take it all," he groaned, pulling back and slamming forward until the swelling base finally popped inside Felix. He was knotted now, balls deep, connected to this omega he’d become infatuated with.
Felix pants heavily, feeling the knot lock into place inside him. Felix is left exhausted. His fever drops pretty quick, surprising the alpha hovering over him.
Like he said before, his heat can only be cured by an alpha’s knot. And Felix had received both knotting and a marking today. His omega instincts are beyond satisfied.
The purple mark over Felix's neck stood out sharply against his pale skin. It was a perfect bite mark, Hyunjin's canines sunk deep. Every time he looked at it, his alpha possessiveness surged. He'd marked Felix, knotted him, bitten him, scent marked him thoroughly.
Felix is his now, bonded by the alpha’s mark.
