Trouble on My Tongue (Troubles Yet to Come)
As much as Tony hated to admit it, he’d learned to fawn first.
He hadn’t had much choice at MIT, half the size of the other alphas and twice as smart. It had only taken getting beaten up once for him to realize that he had the disadvantage no matter how clever he was, and while Rhodey would later come to back him up in fights, he couldn’t be Tony’s bodyguard. He’d had to come up with something else to protect himself, and he found himself watching the betas around him to see how they avoided fights and tried to emulate them. Unfortunately, he’d found he didn’t have the same ease they did. Maybe it was something he couldn’t replicate, like the naturally calming beta scent. Or maybe it was that he simply couldn’t pull off a watchful side-eye without it being seen as a threat, another alpha biding his time until they slipped—maybe he could have used it before his first fight, but he was recognized now, and it came off just as duplicitous as he intended.
Then Tony had been rescued from a fight by an omega, her soft gaze and lowered lashes bringing the other alpha’s aggression down immediately as she put herself between them, and he’d decided that omega demurring would probably help him more than beta coolness. He’d watched omegas flutter lashes, bow their heads, curl their hands in, studying so closely that he was sure every other alpha that he was a creep. But the omegas he watched seemed to understand, would tip their bodies so he could see what they were doing, the way they tilted their heads and smiled without showing teeth and picked at their clothes. Part of him rankled, that they seemingly knew what he was doing; the other part, the part that finally got other alphas to stop beating the shit out of him to establish dominance, was simply grateful.
It had been years since he’d had to use those skills. He’d had a growth spurt, had learned martial arts, had earned so much money that he exuded unbeatable confidence. Even if other alphas didn’t like him, they tried not to piss him off, for fear that he’d simply crush them in crippling debt just by looking at them somehow. He’d gotten used to it, thrived in it, even. He figured it made up for every time an alpha had put him down at MIT, and it wasn’t like he took advantage of it.
But watching Steve’s chest begin to heave, skin taking on a pink flush, Tony realized he would have to try and remember everything he’d learned and pull out every stop.
AIM had come up with some sort of pheromone to trigger a rut, and they were the first test subjects. Tony was fine, technically. The armor filtered out most of it, and the heat he felt building within him felt like normal arousal. Steve, unfortunately, was getting the full brunt of it. They’d thought he’d be able to resist; Steve had impeccable control of himself, even when driven into rage on the battlefield. But they’d quickly come to realize that a rut was different. Or at least, a rut that was being brought on as suddenly and quickly as this one was. Steve tried to keep to the opposite side of the room, but he’d been glancing over at Tony more and more, face twisting first with irritation, then with disgust. Tony was an interloper in this little bubble of space, taking up desperately needed territory. A threat to any omegas who might come upon them, someone who could ruin Steve’s chances of mating. Steve’s expressions had been interspersed with dismay and regret, but those were coming fewer and farther apart, now. He’d eventually do what all those other alphas at MIT had done, but in Captain America’s hands, it would come with deadly accuracy.
Tony couldn’t help but gulp as he watched Steve shift where he sat in the opposite corner of the room, the leather of his suit creaking as it strained around his flexing muscles. He was losing it. He could tell. Steve had maybe an hour left of control, if he was lucky. And Tony needed to use that, because even he couldn’t appeal to an alpha in a blind rage.
“What are you doing?” Steve asked sharply as Tony lifted his hands to open the faceplate on his helmet. “The pheromone could still be active.”
“The suit isn’t picking up any readings,” Tony answered simply, trying to keep the agitation out of his voice. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to concentrate over the simmering need to try and punch Steve in the face. “Besides, if you lose control and I’m still wearing the suit, you’ll still see me as a threat.” He swallowed again, then carefully pitched his voice lower. “The only way both of us survive this is if you stop seeing me as a threat.”
“Even out of the suit you’re—” Steve began, angry. Then he stopped, and Tony caught his eyebrows furrowing together in confusion out of the corner of his eye. “You… you’re at a disadvantage.”
“Of course,” Tony agreed, keeping his voice low and quiet. He’d found he could tell the truth if he kept his tone passive and low. No one liked to be lied to, but Steve especially hated it. The last thing he wanted to do was lie to his face and possible trigger him when Steve was trying to swallow back his aggression. “But I’ll have a better chance of you not killing me if you let me do this.”
Steve stood abruptly, and Tony froze, eyes trained on the floor. “You’re an alpha,” he repeated, but his voice quavered with uncertainty. “I can. Smell. I can smell you.” He paced a few feet, then quickly returned to his corner, grumbling what sounded like a few choice curse words.
Tony took the chance to tap in the code to make the suit creak open. He knew his scent would immediately waft through the room, sharp and metallic, and he only had one chance at this. He rolled out of the armor as soon as it had opened enough, moving toward the other corner opposite Steve, and just in time—the shield sliced into the armor with a sharp rending of vibranium on steel, and he winced against the instinctive anger at the destruction of his property. He needed to focus, even though the immediate regret on Steve’s face made something like anxiety bubble up in him.
He needed to fawn. And he needed Steve to believe it.
Tony stood, mostly facing the wall. He made sure to keep his arms loose, hands open, so he didn’t look like he was about to lash out. He tipped his head to make his throat a long line, drawing attention to it with a nervous swallow that wasn’t all for show. He heard Steve inhale sharply and carefully slid his gaze over to him, dipping his head so he was looking at him through his lashes.
Steve’s mouth had dropped open, and he was staring at Tony as if he’d never really seen him before. His pupils were blown wide, the flush of his skin darkening from pink to red as Tony watched. Part of him felt bad for Steve—he was always very private about his ruts, and the rest of the team had gone out of their way to accommodate him, not teasing or asking questions. This was probably one of his worst nightmares, being forced to show his more aggressive side that he tried to keep hidden. Ruts were one of the most vulnerable times for alphas. Tony was only sorry he couldn’t really do anything to comfort him. It would only get worse before it got better, after all, and he needed to make sure they both survived.
Tony swallowed again, then turned, pressing his forehead to the wall. “This is going to work out, Steve. Okay? Do you believe me?” There was a long silence, but Tony didn’t push, instead gazing at the cement in front of him. He needed to be patient. Omegas were rarely pushy in the face of danger. He couldn’t chance reacting with anything that could be seen as aggression when Steve was still so keyed up. He closed his eyes, then opened them again slowly, knowing the slow sweep of lashes would distract him.
“…Yes,” Steve answered after a beat, sounding like it pained him. “Of course.”
Tony breathed in slowly, turning his head away, just a little. “This might be uncomfortable. But we’ll get through it, alright?”
“…Of course,” Steve said again, tense voice laced with exhaustion all the sudden.
Tony closed his eyes again, breath a slow in-and-out, before he carefully tipped his head to glance back at Steve out of the corner of his eye. Head tipped down, shoulders relaxed, body loose. “It’ll be alright… alpha.”
Steve stood straighter for a moment, entire body clenching up tight. Tony almost thought he’d blundered—every alpha was different—but before he could utter an apology dripping with contrition, a blistering heat was plastered up against his back, from shoulder to hip. He could feel Steve’s breath against the back of his neck, soft, wet pants against his skin. Tony let out a shuddering sigh, tipping his head back at the hot, humid feel of it. He had to admit it felt good, if only to himself; he didn’t need to make Steve feel even more uncomfortable.
“Okay?” Steve asked after a beat, lips brushing over his skin.
“Yes,” Tony answered easily, tipping his head to allow him more room.
Steve’s lips were warm and soft against his neck, and Tony couldn’t help but whimper as his kisses followed the collar of his flight-suit, arching back against him. Steve let out a sound that could have been a hush, one hand reaching down to clamp over his hip, the other reaching up, clamping down around the back of his neck. His grip wasn’t painful, luckily, just heavy, tight in a way that was firm but not controlling. Tony found himself tipping his head back against the grip to test it anyway and couldn’t quite hold back a whimper when Steve let out a quelling rumble, feeling the vibration from where Steve’s chest was pressed into his back. Against his will, Tony found himself relaxing, eyes drifting shut as he focused on the warm press of Steve’s body against his, the tender way Steve’s thumb began stroking the length of his bonding gland. Somehow, he knew just how hard to press, and Tony shivered as he wondered at how Steve could keep his impeccable control over himself when he could feel how hard he was against his ass.
Tony swallowed nervously, suddenly aware of just how precarious the position he was in was. He wasn’t a newly presented fourteen-year-old, but Steve also wasn’t just some college sophomore who wanted to put him in his place; Steve was a super soldier, with super strength. Would he be mad when he tried to tear Tony’s flight-suit off and found no omega slick, just an awkward boner with the beginnings of a knot on it? Would he feel tricked? Tony had never had to go this far to get another alpha to back down, and he knew it wasn’t Steve’s fault, but it was their problem. Still, there was no going back now, he had to admit. If he was an omega, he probably could have backed off, Steve not wanting to mount a partner who wasn’t ready. As an alpha, though, Steve might balk when he realized; he might get aggressive again, and then all of his fawning would be for nothing. And Tony would be dead. He bit his lip against a slightly hysterical giggle as he realized he was more annoyed about the idea of his fawning not working.
The grip on the back of Tony’s neck tightened, and he couldn’t help a whimper as Steve used it to turn him, sliding his hand around with the movement so he could press his palm flat on Tony’s chest, pinning him in place as easily. Tony’s breath hitched as Steve’s hand pressed over the arc reactor, but Steve seemed to notice and changed tack accordingly, sliding it up, thumb gently stroking over his bonding gland again. Tony swallowed again, breath stuttering in his lungs, and kept his gaze carefully turned down and to the side. Eye contact was still dangerous at this point, he reminded himself, willing his body not to tremble nervously.
Steve’s fingers caught in the collar of his flight-suit, and Tony couldn’t help a startled yelp as he tugged, body jerking forward at the force. The back of his head hit the wall, forcing him to squeeze his eyes shut against a bright burst of pain. It took all his willpower not to lift his own hands and shove Steve away, instead forcing out a plaintive whimper. When Steve shuffled closer, nuzzling at his ear and huffing out ‘sorry’s, the plaintive whimper wasn’t so forced. Steve hadn’t meant to hurt him, he told himself, lips parting to let out a shaky sigh. He couldn’t have known the fabric of the flight-suit was basically indestructible.
“I’m sorry,” Steve said again, soft and despondent, then turned his head to capture his open mouth in a searing kiss.
Tony was moaning before he was even sure what happened. Steve’s warm hands were cradling his face delicately, in direct counterpoint with how his mouth was trying to… to devour him, teeth nipping at his bottom lip, tongue swiping in not just to taste, but to conquer. Tony whined, feeling heat pulse in his belly, and Steve took it as permission, pressing against him again, tipping his head just slightly so he had a better angle to just… maul his mouth. Tony was content to just let Steve kiss him until the rest of the team came to their rescue, but as Steve moved his mouth down, nipping and sucking at jaw, down to his throat, he finally became aware that Steve was actually… speaking to him, not just babbling hungrily as his hands gripped at his flight-suit.
“Please, I need to taste you, sweetheart. Let me taste you.” His hands pulled uselessly at the fabric around his hips, yanking forward and back with a desperation that for a moment made Tony feel powerful. “Please, I bet you taste so good, please let me—”
The smugness Tony felt quickly turned to ice cold fear. He couldn’t let Steve try and go down on him. There was no omega slick dripping out of him, no soft musk to entice him into mounting him. He’d be hit in the face with an alpha’s scent, and Tony wasn’t certain what Steve would do with that. Dying with his dick out suddenly seemed worse than Steve bashing the suit with his shield until he could crack it open and strangle him.
“No,” slipped out of Tony’s mouth before he could stop it, and he bit his lip as Steve froze. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, certain that even looking up plaintively through his lashes would do nothing to help the situation. He pressed his hands back against the wall to try and ground himself, swallowing nervously, waiting for the explosion of pain from wherever Steve would strike.
To his absolute shock, though, Steve just let out that rumble from his chest again, one hand cradling his waist, the other pressing to his flushed cheek. “Sweetheart, of course, I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Steve pulled him into a hug. Tony couldn’t quite swallow back a mortified little hiccup, burying his face into Steve’s shoulder so he couldn’t see his wretched expression. He couldn’t just tell him that if this was any other situation, he’d let Steve do whatever he wanted to him, that he’d had the hots for him for years and been in love with him almost as long. Steve had been private about his ruts, but the one time Tony had seen a partner sneaking out looking smug and sated, they’d been an omega. Even if this wasn’t a life or death situation, he wouldn’t be Steve’s choice. And that was okay. But hearing Steve call him ‘sweetheart’ and apologize for being too pushy hurt a little bit, too. He wished Steve had been locked in here with anyone else.
But it was probably the best for the team that it had been him, Tony huffed, blinking heat back from his eyes. No one else would have fawned. It would have been a brawl. And that would have given AIM just what they wanted—a fractured team. At least this way, they’d be awkward for a while, but Tony’s insistence that he didn’t care and they didn’t need to talk about it, along with Steve’s willingness to follow his lead as the wronged party, they could get back to normal. It’d probably only take a few months at most. It would be fine.
He would be fine.
Tony breathed in slowly, lifting his hands to curl them around Steve’s biceps and… not quite push. Omegas weren’t pushy. But he eased Steve away from him in a way that made it seem like Steve’s choice, eyes low as he peered up at him. “I’m not… ready for that,” he said carefully.
Steve was nodding before he’d even finished, arms twisting so he could catch Tony’s hands and hold them. “Of course not. I should have realized you’d want to take it slow.”
“Thank you. I really appr—” Tony began, then leaned back, unable to keep from looking up at Steve straight on in bewilderment. “What?”
Steve offered him a kind smile, as if his consideration wasn’t more confusing than helpful. “I’ve seen you looking at me. I just thought it was envy, not interest, but Colonel Rhodes said you were shy around other alphas. So I hoped—”
“Huh?!” Tony barked, offended. “Shy?!”
“…Shy… for you,” Steve offered after a long pause. “He said your concept of ‘shy’ was different, of course, but—”
Then the rest of what Steve had been trying to say caught up with him, and he couldn’t help but gape at him. “You hoped?!”
Steve stared at him, bewildered, before finally answering, “…Of course? I don’t know why everyone is surprised that I have eyes and use them. You’re very…” His eyes drifted down to Tony’s lips. “…pleasant. To look at.”
Tony found himself flushing again. He’d been called a lot of things by prospective partners, of course. Hot, sexy, handsome, pretty, even ‘dreamy’ had come up in his younger years. But the way Steve had worded it made him feel flustered. He knew he was good-looking, but no one had ever expressed that it was a pleasant experience just to look at him. He swallowed, trying to grasp at something he could say. Then he watched Steve’s pupils dilate even wider, watching the bob of his throat, and all that came out was, “I hoped, too.”
“What?” Steve spluttered, but Tony was moving forward anyway, hands scrabbling at his uniform, trying to find the catches under the protective fabric. “Tony, wait—”
The whine that burst out of him as Steve pinned him back with one hand on his chest was embarrassing, and the feeling of rejection was crushing, even though he knew he shouldn’t be surprised. He was the one who’d said ‘no’ first, after all. Steve was just enforcing the status quo. Still, Tony felt his face crumpling, and he turned his head away, squeezing his eyes shut against the humiliation lighting him up from the inside. He didn’t want to see Steve’s stern face as he reminded him that he’d been the one to ask him to stop, and how that wasn’t fair, and—
“These fucking drugs,” Steve ground out, irritated, and Tony nodded in commiseration. He couldn’t wait to go home and forget this had happened to them.
Then hands were hooking under Tony’s arms, heaving him upward, and Tony yelped in alarm. His eyes flew open against his will, and he braced himself to be slammed back against the wall, realizing too late that any time he’d had to defend himself had passed as soon as his feet left the ground. But Steve was just fitting himself between his flailing thighs, pushing forward until Tony was pinned between him and the wall, blue eyes boring into him like daggers, and he found himself freezing where he was against his will, because Steve didn’t look angry at him at all. He looked hungry.
“We’re going to have a very long talk about this,” Steve informed him sternly. Tony opened his mouth to promise that they could just ignore it, but it clicked back shut when Steve’s hands slid out from under his arms, planting on either side of his head to force him to make eye contact with him again. “But I can barely think straight when all I want to do is rip your flight-suit off and fuck you, so you’re going to shut up and let me make out with you, and hopefully it’ll take some of the edge off. Maybe the team will rescue us by then.”
Tony let out an embarrassing wheezing noise. “You don’t want to kill me?”
“That was never going to be the problem, Tony,” Steve huffed, starting to look annoyed.
Tony had had no idea. He blinked, flabbergasted, before carefully bringing his hands down to rest on Steve’s shoulders. “It wasn’t?”
“No!” Steve exclaimed, clearly irritated now. “Tony, I’ve wanted to hump you like a dog since I saw you on that cover of Forbes magazine.”
Tony frantically cast back to when that photo shoot had been. God, that was—years ago? Just after he pivoted the company away from weapons, he remembered vaguely. He was pretty sure Steve hadn’t been thawed at that point, though. He frowned, brows furrowing together in confusion. “Why were you looking up old covers of Forbes?”
“I read the magazine, Tony,” Steve huffed, glaring at him. “It’s been around since before I was born. You being on the cover was just a bonus.”
“Huh,” Tony said, surprised.
Steve was pulling him down before he could say anything else, though, pressing their mouths together with a hungry growl that had Tony curling his legs around his waist to pull him closer. Steve didn’t waste any time, shoving his tongue into his mouth to sweep around possessively. Tony moaned, wrapping his hands around the back of Steve’s neck to pull him closer, tipping his head to give Steve a better angle to plunder his mouth. Steve was blisteringly hot against him, and he worried it might just be Steve’s hormones talking. But Steve had shown nothing but that impeccable sense of control from the start, but for the throwing of his shield, which might have just been instinct rather than actual thought. Tony had to wonder if Steve was even aware that he was in rut.
Then Steve shoved his hips forward, pressing his hard cock up against him, and he figured that Steve probably knew.
“Steve,” Tony gasped, finally jerking his head back to pull away from his mouth.
Steve was not to be deterred, lips pressing damp, open-mouthed kisses to his jaw and down to his throat. “God, I’m so fucking hot, Tony,” he said against his skin, and Tony bit his bottom lip to keep from whimpering at the words. “I’ve never had a rut this bad in my life.” His teeth scraped over Tony’s bonding gland, and all he could do was cling to him, shuddering as another wave of heat flooded through him. His voice took on a plaintive whine. “Wanna bite you all over. Need the team to know you belong to me. You’re mine.”
Tony moaned again, squeezing his eyes shut as Steve’s hips jerked up again, and again. He had no choice but to believe Steve when he said this was the worst rut he’d ever experienced, and it made him cast forward, thinking of the team storming the building to rescue them. Clint and Bruce were betas, so a low growl and long glare might make them back off, though if the Hulk made an appearance, Steve tended to consider him an interloping alpha. He’d be more prone to attacking, then. Thor didn’t have a secondary gender, but he was big and boisterous like an alpha, so Steve would be wary of him, too. Natasha was the only omega on the team, and she should be able to approach, but if she thought Tony was in danger, she might attack first and ask questions later. He needed to take some of the edge off, so Steve wasn’t so quick to react.
“Steve,” Tony began, then gasped when Steve bit down on his shoulder, hard. “Oh!” He dug his fingers into Steve’s hair, exhaling hard as he forced himself to pull Steve’s head away from him. “Steve.”
“Please,” Steve whined, plaintive, and it would have been funny if it wasn’t so guttural.
“Steve, let me,” Tony tried.
Steve leaned forward, tugging against Tony’s grip on his hair. “Please.”
“Let me take the edge off,” Tony said, reluctantly using his grip to keep Steve’s mouth off of him. “Steve, look at me. Let me take the edge off.”
Steve blinked at him slowly, as if the words weren’t registering at all. Finally, though, he repeated, “Take the edge off?”
Tony relaxed his grip on Steve’s hair, nodding. “Yeah. So you’ll be more relaxed when the team gets here.” He felt Steve tense up and stroked his hands through his hair quickly, brushing it out of his face. As kindly and urgently as he could, he added, “I don’t think making out is going to cut it, Steve, even if I let you bite me all over.”
“I know,” Steve answered miserably. “I’m sorry.”
“This isn’t your fault. You have nothing to be sorry for,” Tony told him, trying to sound as firm as possible. “This is AIM’s fault. Don’t take on their guilt in this.” He cradled Steve’s cheeks, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to his panting mouth. “We’ll get through this. And we won’t take any of the blame. Okay? None for you. None for me.”
Steve narrowed his eyes at him, clearly doubtful. Tony was about to give him a very acidic ‘what the fuck is that supposed to mean,’ but before he could fully inhale, Steve answered, “Sure.”
Tony still wanted to ask about his expression, but he decided he would take the assurance instead, pushing at Steve’s shoulders so that he’d let him back down. He wasn’t sure how long they’d been missing, but he knew it was at least long enough for the team to become suspicious, and JARVIS would report about his suit being missing if asked where they were. Hell, he might have been able to get an emergency beacon out before AIM had knocked him out of the air and into unconsciousness. And Steve had been on a mission with SHIELD, so maybe he hadn’t checked in, and that would raise red flags. He needed to submit to Steve’s possessive instincts as soon as possible, so that he wasn’t full of unresolved mating instincts by the time someone he could see as a potential threat to his mating busted in.
“Wait,” Steve said when Tony sank to his knees, sounding annoyed again.
Tony fought the urge to throw his hands up in despair and frustration. They didn’t have time for him to get coy now. “What?”
Steve scowled, somehow managing to look petulant and hurt at the same time. “How come you get to suck me off, but I don’t get to—”
“Oh my god,” Tony cut in, finally allowing himself to throw his hands up. They didn’t have time for this. “Steve, I’ll explain it after we’re rescued.”
Steve huffed and puffed irritably even as Tony finally got the catches undone on his pants. “We won’t,” he muttered mulishly. “You’ll run off and try to pretend it never happened, and I’m just gonna have to stew about it and how good your mouth felt on me until the team locks us in a room together months down the line.”
“You don’t know it’ll be good,” Tony argued, hands carefully easing Steve’s hard cock out of his pants.
Steve let out a hiss, face twisting as his hips jerked forward into Tony’s hands. Once he regained control of himself, though, he shot Tony an unimpressed frown. “I’m in rut. A stiff breeze would probably feel good on my dick at this point. At least your mouth will be warm and wet.”
Tony did his best to bite back a surprised laugh and was mostly successful. He tipped his gaze up to look at Steve through his lashes, smiling, but it quickly slid from his face when he saw Steve’s expression—he’d placed both hands on the wall to brace himself, staring down at Tony like he was the only thing on earth worth looking at, pupils blown and lips parted to pant softly. He didn’t think he’d ever been Steve’s sole focus like this before, and he looked so… hungry. And Tony was the only one who could sate him. He felt all at once powerful and terrified.
“Tony?” Steve asked, soft and uncertain, and he drew himself back a couple inches, body trembling as he pulled away.
Tony blinked, sucking in an inhale when he realized he’d stopped breathing. He forced a crooked smile. “Sorry. Just got in my own head a bit.”
“…Dangerous place to be,” Steve offered, a thread of suspicion lacing back into his voice. “We can figure out something else, if you’ve changed your mind.”
Tony looked back down at Steve’s cock in his hands. It was flushed red, and there was already a little bulge at the base, his knot beginning to form with arousal alone. The head was so flushed it was almost purple, glistening with pre-cum, and Tony found he’d never wanted anything in his mouth so badly in his life, stroking his hand carefully over the length just to watch more fluid drip from the slit.
“You are not knotting my mouth,” Tony finally managed to utter, but it sounded far away even to his own ears. He leaned in, opening his mouth, tongue darting out to swipe at the head.
“Of course I’m nohmygod,” Steve gasped, hips jerking forward as he threw his head back. “Oh my god Tony. Fuck.”
Tony choked briefly as Steve shoved his dick into his mouth, hands flying up to grab Steve’s hips. He realized immediately that he was at Steve’s mercy, though, and as Steve jerked his hips back with babbled apologies that sort of melted together in Tony’s pounding ears, he felt something… shift between them. The instincts he’d been pushing down to play omega weren’t as loud now. He didn’t fear Steve like he had even a few moments ago. In the back of his mind, something about non-familial packs and hierarchies buzzed, but it didn’t seem to matter all that much now, on his knees at Steve’s feet, the taste of Steve’s pre-cum on his tongue. He opened his mouth again, relaxing his throat, and looked up at Steve through his lashes again.
Steve looked like Tony had dropped a brick on his head for a moment, but then he carefully brought one shaking hand down from the wall. His trembling fingers wrapped around his cock to steady it, and he pushed his hips forward again, pressing the head of his cock to Tony’s tongue and pushing it back into his mouth. Tony hummed quietly in surprise; he hadn’t even realized he’d stuck his tongue out to guide him in. Steve froze for a moment, entire body taut as his cock rested on Tony’s tongue, and Tony moaned quietly to assure him that it was fine, that he could take it.
Apparently, that was all the permission Steve needed in his state, hips jerking forward to sink his dick further into Tony’s mouth. Tony gagged a little as Steve shoved deeper than before, but he tried to breathe through it anyway, moaning again as he felt the slight bulge of Steve’s knot against his lips. He tipped his head a little to give his throat more room to swallow and felt Steve’s hand bury itself in his hair, holding him there as he dragged his cock back out. Tony let out a soft sound that might have been complaint, but it didn’t really matter, because then Steve was shoving back in, fucking his mouth in earnest, and all he could do was hold onto Steve’s hips and luxuriate in the fact that Steve was managing to let go of his control a little bit, trusting Tony to know his limits.
Tony wasn’t sure he actually knew his limits, though. He could barely remember to suck a breath in as Steve fucked his mouth, feeling lightheaded, but that could be because Steve was fucking all the blood out of his head and down to his groin, his own cock trapped uselessly in the flight-suit. It felt sort of… wonderful, though, not having to think, just float there, letting his mouth be used. Steve’s hips moved under his hands with the same steady cadence of Tony’s heartbeat, the throb of Steve’s cock on his tongue. The world had narrowed down to the heat of Steve’s hips under his palms, the fingers curled in his hair holding his head in place, the velvety warmth of Steve’s cock stroking over his tongue, down his throat. Tony could feel drool dripping from the corners of his mouth, down his chin, and he tried to swallow some of it back down.
“Fuck,” Steve choked out, voice high and reedy. His hand clenched Tony’s hair tighter, pulling hard enough that he whimpered, and then his other hand was reaching down, frantically enough that one of his nails scratched over Tony’s cheek. The grip he had on Tony’s hair held him in place when he tried to jerk back in surprise, so all Tony could do was sit there, uncertain, nerves beginning to curdle cold in his belly again.
Then he felt Steve’s fingers against his lips as he thrust forward again, and Tony peeled his eyes open to see that Steve was gripping his knot, so tightly it looked painful, but Steve gave no indication he felt it, shoving his dick down Tony’s throat once, twice more—then he let out a wounded sound, pressing in as hard as he could, and Tony gagged again as the head of Steve’s cock rammed into the back of his throat. It seemed like the world froze for a long moment, Steve holding him down on his cock, Tony’s lips pressed to Steve’s white knuckles.
“Fuck,” Steve said again faintly. Then he sagged forward, hands flying up to catch himself from face-planting into the wall.
Tony’s hands tightened on Steve’s hips as they jerked forward again, gagging again as he felt something shoot down his throat. Steve was coming, he realized after a second pulse down his throat, and he swallowed again, and again, leaning in a little further so he could press his lips up against Steve’s knot.
“—muhgod,” Steve grunted, high-pitched again. His fingers curled in Tony’s hair, yanking him back.
Tony gagged again as Steve pulled back, cock slipping from between his lips. As soon as he realized his airway was free, though, he sucked in a deep, gasping breath, filling his lungs with cool air. He blinked tears out of his eyes, tipping his head back to look up at Steve. He tried to speak, but his all that came out was a raspy sound, so he took a moment to swallow, to breathe.
Steve’s hand dropped back to his cock, wrapping around his knot. “Hold still.”
“Huh?” Tony managed to grind out, then flinched as a pulse of cum splattered across his face. “Ugh, Steve-!”
“Hold still,” he repeated, this time coming out as a snarl, and Tony found himself freezing in place, barely daring to breathe.
Steve kept a hand in his hair, holding him in place as he aimed his cock at Tony’s neck, his chest, pulsing cum down to his stomach and groin. Tony felt himself flush, teeth biting into his swelling bottom lip as he realized exactly what Steve was doing—staking his claim on him, making sure everyone knew that Tony belonged to him. Even if the entire team came bursting through the door, he’d feel secure in the knowledge that Tony had been under him, that he’d staked his claim on him like he would an omega. Tony tipped his head back, trying to think of something to say, but then his eyes caught on Steve’s cock again, the slowing pulses of spend dripping from the slit, and he found himself leaning in, wrapping his lips around the head so he could suckle at it greedily.
Steve let out a sound like Tony had personally grabbed his guts and twisted, hips jerking forward against his will, but luckily he stopped just short of choking him again. “God, you’re so fucking hot,” he muttered under his breath, sucking in air through his teeth when Tony tongued at his slit. “Can’t wait for everyone to see that you’re mine. Been panting after you for years.” He let out a huff, a rueful smile curving his lips. “Bet they’ll just be glad it finally happened.”
Tony jerked back, blinking, and ground out, “So everyone knew but me?!”
Steve slanted him a sharp look. “I wasn’t subtle. In fact I was very obvious about it after Colonel Rhodes said you were shy.”
Tony stared up at him, offended. Finally, he managed to sputter, “Why are you calling him that. He’s told you to call him Jim.”
“He scares me,” Steve admitted, a low whine coming from deep in his chest.
Tony huffed, then shook his head, suddenly feeling exhausted. He leaned in, forehead falling onto Steve’s hip, and let out a shuddering sigh. “Steve…”
“I’ve got you,” Steve answered immediately, reaching down to gather him up into his arms. “C’mere, sweetheart. I’ll take care of you.”
Tony thought about arguing. He was covered in Steve’s cum. He felt sticky, and kind of gross—he could smell the nervous sweat stinking up his flight-suit under Steve’s musk. But Steve was still radiating heat, and it felt kind of nice, so he nuzzled into Steve’s throat, let himself be held, and decided not to think about what they were going to do once the team came to rescue them.
