Work Text:
Twirls, kicks, and turns. Nearly all of Roberu’s movements were fluid and perfect, executed with surprising precision that left the other members in the practice room speechless. Who would have thought that Roberu – horse-obsessed, oneeshota-loving Roberu – would be so good at commanding his body to move the way he wanted it to so well?
Unfortunately for Shien, the performance was giving him a hard time focusing on his own routine. As he followed the instructor’s counts, his eyes would stray to take glances at his friend just a short distance away. His sight lingered at the other’s mesmerizing form, taking in the way it moved with each step Roberu took. The gentle curve of the bartender’s back, the small beads of sweat gathering at his temples–
Fuck, he was starting to move out of sync. The beastman snaps himself out of his thoughts and busies himself by catching up with his steps.
One, two, three, four…
Shien sneaks another glance at Roberu. Ah, how he wanted to take those hands that were reaching out and grasp them within his own, to run his thumbs across the bumps of the other’s knuckles…
The jackal shakes his head. ‘Focus, Kageyama! There’s a time and place for everything!’
Five, six, seven, eight…
Roberu’s legs were painfully distracting, the exercise shorts exposing the lovely tan skin that is usually hidden below his signature uniform. Shien wonders what it would be like to touch the flesh of the other’s thighs, parting those legs with his own two hands and planting kisses on all the places he can reach to lay claim to them, savoring the other’s soft pleas and whispers to stop teasing and grant him release–
And it is at that moment that Shien registers how everyone else has stopped moving and is now staring directly at him. He freezes mid-step like a deer in headlights.
“You looked deep in thought just now.” Astel points out. He takes a generous sip from the water bottle in his hand before continuing. “Practice giving you a hard time?”
The beastman stands himself up straight, thoughts racing to find the best excuse he can manage. “Ah? Oh, y-yeah. With the day of the event arriving so soon, I can’t help but be a little nervous, y’know? Have to make sure my steps are perfect. Sorry if I messed everyone up just now.”
Astel hums. “I see… That’s understandable. Don’t sweat it.”
Shien holds back a sigh of relief. That was close.
“Then what was that scary growl that you let out a few moments ago? We all heard it.”
… Shit.
