A young girl stands in her bedroom. It just so happens that today, the 24th of May, 2026, is nothing special at all. It is not her birthday at all, especially not her 13th. And she already has a name, being KARKAT VANTAS. Although everyone calls her “Rebelkat” or “Reb” for short.
Your door is open, as you prefer to keep it nowadays. You usually aren’t doing… too well per se. You have a tendency to lock yourself in your room, so you just leave it open so your dads can hopefully notice if something’s off.
You are about to feed your pet bunny, Bliss, when you feel a vibration from your palmhusk. You wonder who it i- oh. It’s this guy again.

REBELKAT.: PRETTY FUCKING SURE.
REBELKAT.: N𓁹W FUCK 𓁹FF. I HAVE STUFF T𓁹 D𓁹.

Thank gog. Now, you go back to doing what you were going to do. You put food in her bowl and then start playing with her by wiggling her feet. It’s a nice stress reliever and she doesn’t seem to mind too much. Why did a red light just flash behind you though?
DAVE: hey
REB: WHA-
You start getting up to turn around, letting go of one of Bliss’s feet before a hand is on your mouth. Your robot hand is still holding onto the other foot. You try to fight him off but in a split second you get transported somewhere else.
You keep trying to fight him off, but in the end you’re let go. You get up to attack him, but notice something in your hand. A grey, bloody, rabbit foot. You are so in shock that you just sit back on the floor and stare at it.
DAVE: i told you man
DAVE: tried making this easier
DAVE: now your little pet is hurt damn dude
DAVE: lesson one dont be a whiny little shit or things go badly
REB: …
DAVE: you gonna say anything
DAVE: okay be like that
DAVE: ill let you look around since im so nice
DAVE: dont do anything stupid
He leaves through a door and closes it. You keep sitting there for about ten more minutes before trying to look for a way out. You go to the door and try to open it, but it’s locked. There’s no windows in the room at all. There’s one lightbulb in the entire room. It is a pretty spacious room at least, with a rack of swords in the corner being the only thing in it. You try to fish around your pockets for your palmhusk, before realizing you dropped it in your room. Great. You couldn’t even do anything stupid if you tried.
After 50 minutes, he comes back in. He’s holding what looks like clothes.
DAVE: okay
DAVE: change into this
DAVE: cause you definitely need something more flexible than a fucking leather jacket while you train
REB: …WHAT.
DAVE: dude i keep trying to do you favors just put em on ill turn away ill give you twenty minutes just get to it
He sits the clothes in front of you and turns around to the door. He also puts his hands above his eyes, so you’re glad he’s not lying about that.
After you change, you just wait for him to turn around. You’d rather not risk anything happening if you didn’t do what he said. It’s a stupid shirt with a heart on it and some shorts. He turns back around soon.
DAVE: okay good you actually did something for once
He equips a sword and you equip your dagger in exchange.
DAVE: ready
