Chapter Text
As Wednesday ran further and further away from the Weathervane, she just couldn’t stop thinking about what had just happened. Tyler was the Hyde? Tyler, the boy who had helped her ‘solve’ her case, was a homicidal monster? She had to admit, she was slightly impressed. Not once had she thought about the possibility that Tyler was the monster who had put her only friend in a coma. It made sense though. He’d known where she was for every attack.
Wednesday felt… weird. Even the fact that Wednesday felt weird was weird, because usually she didn’t feel anything at all. Of course the first boy Wednesday kissed would be a murderer. Not that she disliked murderers. She’d had a crush on a murderer more than once. The only difference with Tyler would be that he’s still actively killing people.
The black-haired girl slowed down to a walking pace, and fiddled with her necklace. Her mother had said that you can’t always trust visions, so could that mean Tyler isn’t the Hyde? Wednesday hoped Goody would appear soon, so she could ask her. Or maybe Wednesday could get the answers out of Tyler herself. After all, Wednesday always carried a taser, so she could just go up to him and shock him if he tried anything.
Wednesday decided to go back, hit him on the head, tie him up and question him. What could go wrong? When she arrived at the coffee shop, she was relieved to see Tyler still sitting there, with his head resting on his hands and headphones on. Was he crying? Wednesday shook her head. So emotional.
She opened the door quietly, and took the broom Tyler was sweeping the floor with earlier. Wednesday walked up to him, and hit him on his head in one fast movement. She could see he wasn’t completely knocked out, but definitely dazed. The girl walked into the supply cabinet, and saw a rope lying on a shelf. Perfect. The psychic quickly bound his hands and feet together as her Uncle Fester had taught her, and tied him to a stool.
Tyler was looking around, and when he finally recognised Wednesday, he had a confused expression on his face. “Wednesday?” He said. “What are you doing? Why did you run?”
Wednesday sat down on the cold floor. “You’re the Hyde, aren’t you?”
Tyler shook his head. “No, Xavier is the Hyde, he’s locked up. Are you okay?”
Wednesday rolled her eyes. She took the taser out of her coat pocket and turned it on. “How about now?”
Tyler looked at her, and scoffed. “What the hell, Wednesday! First you say you don’t want to be my friend, then you kiss me, and now you’re threatening me for me being something I’m not?”
The girl paid no attention to Tyler, and shocked him instead. Tyler closed his eyes in pain.
“Wednesday, I swear I’m not the monster. How can I prove it?” Wednesday thought about this.
“We need to get Xavier to transform.”
