Work Text:
It was the last round before the civilians had the rest of the day off from rounds, the killer was Badware.
Taunt originally thought he would be able to land more of his ability than he did usually, but that was disproven after he used most of his energy on the first match.
Additionally, his voice became raspier and started to hurt from all the shouting and screaming at the killers, which made him even more unenergetic, far from his usual self.
This wasn't supposed to happen, at least that's what Taunt thought.
"H-hey...Caretaker? Could you maybe heal me here? Please?"
He somehow brought himself to Caretaker, dragging his limping leg.
He really didn't want to be seen by them this pathetic, but it's what he had to do, for the sake of the chance of supporting everyone.
He had to be alive to be able to prevent the death of others, after all.
"It's the 6th time you asked for a heal, Taunt!"
Caretaker scolded Taunt, although seeming worried for him, he was relatively close to him, despite everything.
"C'mon, Care...!! I-I'll pay you back sometime!! Please!"
"..."
"...Are you limping?"
Caretaker suddenly noticed his right leg, and Taunt immediately started to become nervous.
"What? No I'm not, my leg is fine, Care!"
"Just let me take a look at it, at least, please."
"..."
"You know I care for you, Taunt."
"Ugh..fine..."
Taunt really didn't like being this vulnerable, even if it was towards one of his closest "friends."
"There! I just put some bandages around the wound, so be sure to come to my office after this round, ok?"
After Caretaker healed Taunt, they decided to treat his wound, suspecting that he might hurt himself later in the round.
"Thanks, Caretaker!"
"Anytime, Taunt. Love ya."
They then ran towards the other civilians to heal anyone who was low on hp.
...
LOVE YA!?!?!?!?
Taunt became flustered uncontrollably, getting embarrassed by Caretaker's sudden words of affection, added by Caretaker's thoughtful actions from before. He'd probably keep thinking about it for a good 4 weeks.
