Heteros is a Greek adjective that means 'different' or 'strange' two simple ways to summaries it would be 'not alike' or ' different from others'. This is her name given to her by mother Echidna as a reminder that this world will not look at her as anything but different, or monster. she didn't think it would be possible to ever prove mother Echidna wrong, but these strangers are starting to, and isn't that terrifying?

Chapter 1: prologue

Chapter Text

It has been 63 years since the prophecy of the eldest children has come and yet there is no sign, but the typhoon's body has been growing strong and the gods' children have been becoming restless and angry. Chronus has demands, specifically of Typhon who has finally saved enough energy to split in two. The job is simple: see what the titan can do to tip the odds against their unruly children.

The old titan is somewhere in Canada, by Mount Edziza. When he summoned the fates, “dear moria Atropos, Lachesis, and Klotho I have an offering for you. A spinning wheel of willow; one made for a soul that has now inhabited it. Yarn spined from red tulips, red carnations, and red ranunculus. Scissors made of bone, and stygion handles.

“ oh Boundless Fates, dear children of dark Night,
Hear my prayer, O many-named dwellers on the lake of heaven,
Where the frozen water by night’s warmth
is broken inside a sleek cave’s shady hollow;
From there you fly to the boundless earth, home of mortals,
towards men whose noble aims match their vain hopes,
You march cloaked in purple
in the vale of doom,
where glory drives her chariot on,
beyond the goal of justice,
of anxious hope, of primeval law, and of the immeasurable principle of order.
In life Fate alone watches.
The other immortals who dwell on the peaks of snowy Olympos do not,
Fate knows all things for all time.
I pray to you to come, airy ones,
gently and kindly,
Atropos, Lachesis, and Klotho, scions of noble stock.
Nocturnal, invisible, inexorable and ever indestructible,
You give and take all, being to men the same as necessity.
Fates, hear my prayers and receive my libations.
Gently come to the initiates to free them from pain.

“I have given you your offering, and I have a question whose answers I'd like to receive.”Typhon's voice boomed just slightly, never enough to get anyone else's attention.

Wind swirls at the base of the volcano dust kicking up before three women appear at the center. “Oh sisters, let's answer the question. He brought a magnificent spinning wheel, and unique scissors, that will come in handy,." Klotho hummed her soft blond curls blowing in the wind along with her pink fabric.

“Life is not just about gifts, sisters, but favors; what can he do for us?” the middle Lachese said, wearing a gray vail that covers her hair, and holds her face, and a black fabric that circled around her.

“He can do anything for us, can he? I mean he's not even supposed to be here, so what can he do?” Klothos had a pitch to her voice that fluctuated; breathing youth..

“But he is. He isn't usually, but he's here now.” “Why not use it to see what he can do for us. After all, we have a chance to make things fun for us sisters. Don't you see them? Don't you hear it?” Laches smiles hungry like she wants to feast on a tapestry itself.

Klotho puts a finger to her chin smiling, “which comes first the chicken or the egg? The prophecy or the action?” curiosity poisoning her voice, like she can't get enough of something only she can see.

“I say the action of seeking causes it all. If he hadn't asked then he would have never had to take the fall for us.” Atropos said gray hair and violet fabric the fell loosely in the wind

“What fall?” typhoon he could keep his voice quite, but it could not hide his annoyance.

“That's not for you to worry about right now” Lachese drawled with cruelness hinted in her voice.

“All you need to say is yes” Atopos almost snapped; there was no venom but it was a quick thing.

“Fine, only if you answer my question.”, typhon had to force his voice to be anything but thunder and earthquakes.

“Well then what's the question hun?” Klotho asked

“You say that like we don't already know.” Atopos jumped in voice old, and crooked.

“You always get so far ahead of us sister. Let him answer, let him ask.” Lachese criticized smoothly.

“And you wouldn't know a kindness if it hit you in the face.” Atopos remarked getting stuck in the arguments.

His question is simple “how can i tip the great prophecy against the gods?”

The moria spoke as one, “ a mortal child born of monsters and blood, one who shall burn through their life, your child, a monstrous one who has power of the gods, a child who will become a force the gods cannot ignore. Will they bring hope? Or will they bring demise?” Each voice brings its own crookedness to the mix but harmonizes to sound more like a song than a sentence. ,

Making it known that all typhoons need was to have a child with a mortal which shouldn't be too hard. The titan of monsters just needed to make sure the child stayed on their side. Tyohoon is sure his love echidna would make sure of that.
