Enhypen is in the middle of dominating the world with their godly visuals, angelic vocals and insane performances— add a little bit of their unmatched humor with their silly tiktoks. Almost everyone is curious on the boys and no one is more prouder than engenes who believed in the boys since day 1.
The kpop vampire princes have just ended the Japan leg of their recent world tour which brought another wave of the enhypen boom. Sunoo, Sunghoon and Jay were the only members who went back to South Korea. Heeseung and Jake were directed to Bangkok for their appearance to a pop up store of a local brand that they're currently endorsing; Jay and Jungwon stayed for an upcoming shoot for a Japanese variety show; while Ni-ki took the opportunity to spend some time with his family.
While the boys go on about their individual schedules after they were pulled by exasperated staffs from the neverending encores of their Okayama concert, engenes were smashing keyboards left and right, sharing clips that they managed to film despite the strict concert rules in Japan. Each member's fancams have reached the general public on different social media platforms and engenes are more than willing to answer every "who's the blond guy" and "who's the purple mic guy" in the comments. It's about time to stop with the "he's just a staff" replies because enhypen deserves to be known by the world.
Enhypen is live 🔴 Please tell Jay-hyung that there's no ghost in the dorm
A collective gasp can be heard in enville as the notification popped on their phones. Engenes were not expecting the members to go live as they might be exhausted from the flight. And the title of the live was far from what they usually get from the members.
As soon as they click the notification, a distressed-looking Sunoo graced the portrait-oriented screen. It seemed enhypen's sunshine had just settled in his room after their flight. He looked tired but a glimpse of his nightly skin care routine is visible on his glowy cheeks.
"Engenes, someone is hiding inside my room." Sunoo chuckled in an exasperated manner, gripping his hair and all. He slowly slides his gaming chair sideward to reveal Jay, sitting in the middle of Sunoo's bed, half of his body was covered in comforter.
Jay looked into the phone screen, meeting the eyes of engenes behind the fourth wall. He tucked his knees near his chest, pulling the comforter further below his chin.
"I wish I was kidding," he said almost robotically while shaking his head slowly. "But, for real, there's a ghost in our dorm."
With his eyes blown wide and his pitiful posture on Sunoo's bed that made him looked a lot smaller than he actually is, Engenes humored the scared black cat member and showered the comments with "omo!" and "otoke?!"
Sunoo, whose side profile can be seen facing his Jay-hyung, sighed loudly before twisting in front to read the comments.
"Engenes, please tell Jay-hyung to go back to his dorm," he pleaded tiredly, but still with a little smile on his face.
"Nope!" Jay shook his head faster. "I'm never going back there alone. I'll wait for Heeseung-hyung or Ni-ki. Sunghoon's in the company but even if he gets back home later I won't rely on him much because he's another coward."
"Hyung, Ni-ki and Heeseung-hyung won't be back in two days," Sunoo whined.
"I know. Exactly why I'm camping here." He nodded and leaned back against the headboard, making himself more comfortable in his dongsaeng's bed.
"Hyung! Why don't you stay in Wonie's room?"
"What's the point of seeking refuge here in your dorm if I'm going to sleep alone?" Despite being obviously scared, Jay still has a little sass in his voice. "I'm staying here with you. We'll sleep together. You're not afraid of ghosts, so the ghost won't come after you."
"It's not that I'm not afraid of ghosts. I just don't believe there's a ghost in your dorm right now, hyung!"
"Same difference."
"Ahhh, really, this hyung." Sunoo slides on the center of the screen, blocking his Jay-hyung once again. He propped his elbows on his desk and facepalmed with both of his hands.
"What do I do with this hyung, Engenes?"
More comments were rapidly fired below the screen that made it impossible for Sunoo to read a single one. He hovered his finger on the screen, stopping the comments from running.
"Give him his comfort plushie. He's hogging my bed, everyone."
"Jay is so cute when he's scared. He would be much cuter if he transfers to Jungwon's room."
"Ddeonu looks so stressed kkk. I just want to sleep on my bed. Alone." He emphasized the last word by pushing his face further near the screen.
"What exactly happened in Jay's dorm? He didn't tell me, actually. He just keeps on saying 'there's a ghost, there's a ghost.'" He slides sideward to reveal Jay and faced him. "What happened up there, Jay-hyung?"
Jay seemed to be contemplating to tell the ghost story that he had encountered. But a few seconds later, he opened his mouth.
"I entered the dorm alone, right?" Sunoo hummed in confirmation. "You know I'm used to going home late at night. It's like a normal routine. But earlier, as soon as I stepped into the dorm, I feel... uneasy." Jay shuddered his shoulders a little to prove his point.
"I placed my luggage on the floor and then I switched on the lights on the common room. The dorm was eeriely quiet, I don't know why I suddenly felt that way after years of living there."
"Maybe you're just jet lagged, hyung. You said you didn't sleep during the flight," Sunoo chimed in.
"Nah, Sunoo." Jay crossed his legs under the covers and leaned forward as he got more invested into the conversation. "I know how jet lag works on my body. And that wasn't the case earlier. I felt it in my skin! Like something bad is gonna happen."
"Now, you're just exaggerating."
"No! I promise, I'm not." He widened his eyes. "You know that narrow corner outside Sunghoon's bedroom, right? The one where we usually place our empty luggages?"
"Yeah."
"There's a light bulb above there that was connected to the switch for the ones in the common room, remember?"
"Yeah?"
"When I switched the lights on, that one didn't turn on."
wahh this actually feels like a true horror story.

I'm supposed to study for the exam but Jay's ghost story is more interesting story
Sunoo read the comments silently for a brief moment before urging his hyung to continue.
"I was going to ignore that, at all. I was on my way to my room but then," he paused, "the light started flickering."
omo I'm alone right now I feel scared! I got chills we're actually hearing a real enhypen ghost story! ghosts are real! 👻👻
"It started flickering," Jay repeated, almost whispering. "And then it turns off. So, I ran down here."
Sunoo waited for more details. But Jay seemed to be finished with his story as he leaned his torso back unto the headboard.
"That's it?" Sunoo asked unbelievably. He faced the phone screen, brows furrowed and mouth slightly opened. "All that ruckus for a broken light bulb. Can you believe this hyung, Engenes?"

"Yah! You wouldn't know how I felt because you weren't there!" Jay said aloud, clearly offended by how his fear was underestimated by the younger one.
"And if I actually go there and prove to you that there's no ghost and you're just overthinking this, would you go back to your dorm?"
"Why would you go there?! I just told you there's a ghost!"
"There's no ghost, hyung! The light bulb is just broken. That's what happens when things have been used for a long time. We should check it out so you can feel at ease."
"I'm not going back there!"
"You're not going alone. I'll accompany you. We're just going to see for ourselves if the light bulb needs fixing."
"No! Not in a million chance! No, no, no, no."
Sunoo faced the screen with a resigned look. Then, suddenly, his eyes light up when they caught a blue tinted comment.
"Sunghoon-hyung just commented, don't be such a coward jay."
Hearing what his nemesis (read: best friend) just commented, Jay set his self free from the comfort of Sunoo's bed to lean over the screen and read the comment himself.
"Yah, you're one to talk, Sunghoon. I bet you'll piss your pants if you were in my shoes."
Sunoo got startled on the (not so) vulgar words coming out of Jay's mouth. He covered his snicker with his left palm while the other one gently smacked his hyung's arm.
Sunghoon commented: kkk can't believe you got scared of a broken bulb.
Jay was not amused, totally. He had a deadpan look on his face. Something that silently tells: "no one is taking me seriously."
Sunoo, who felt Jay's helplessness (it's an F person's superpower), patted his arm.
"Come on, Jay-hyung. Let's go up to your dorm and solve this mystery ghost story."
Sunoo was about to end the live but Jay's hand stopped his wrist.
"Let's keep the live going. If we're gonna prove that the ghost is real, I want to have an evidence."
Sunoo sighed. "There's no ghost, hyung."
Jay picked the phone, his bare face now in full view. "We'll find out."
And then the screen switched into the default 'voice only' live background.

While Engenes flood the comment section, the sounds of Sunoo and Jay's journey to the second enhypen dorm were audible. Door opening and closing. Feet slipping into slippers. Another door opening and closing. Footsteps echoing the hallway. Elevator dings. Another sound of footsteps. And finally, the last sound of a door opening and closing.
"Everyone, we're here in Ni-ki and the hyungs' dorm," Sunoo informed.
A few scuffles and a soft thud after, the camera was turned on. However, Sunoo's face can barely be seen in the dark.
"Switch on the lights, hyung."
"Wait," Jay interjected with slight shake in his voice. "Something's not right. I definitely left the lights on when I went out."
A shadow (Jay) can be seen towering behind Sunoo. The younger one wiggled his shoulder to shake off the tight grip of Jay's hand.
"Well, the dorm is dark. So, the lights are turned off," Sunoo replied as if it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world right now.
"No. I was in a hurry to get out of here earlier so I forgot to turn off the lights—where are you going?!" Jay panicked when Sunoo walked off into what seems like the wall where the switch was mounted.
A soft click can be heard but the screen remained dark. And then another one. And another before a sigh was released out of Sunoo's mouth. Sunoo's dark figure walked further and Jay's silhouette can still be seen following behind him like a ghost, ironically. The sound of a metal plate can be heard with what seemed to be a fuse box being opened. A click echoed through the quiet dorm and then brightness slapped on the screen, finally allowing engenes to see Sunoo's face clearly.
"You didn't turn on the fuse box, hyung." Sunoo fixed his hair like it's just another normal day.
"Then, how come I managed to turn the lights on earlier?"
"I don't know, hyung. Your story doesn't line up. The fuse was off the entire time." Sunoo twisted his head to face his hyung who was still hiding behind his rather smaller stature. "Are you sure you didn't enter the wrong dorm?"
"No?! I swear everything I said was true!"

What about the light outside Sunghoon's room?
Sunoo's eyes wandered beyond the camera before stopping on a specific direction.
"The light bulb on the narrow corner is functioning," he pointed out. "Everything is normal, Jay-hyung."
"But earlier—"
"Maybe your jet lagged mind is doing tricks on your memory, hyung. It happens sometimes," Sunoo placated in a soft tone, but Jay was still furrowing his brows.
"That's it, Engenes. There's no ghost." Sunoo smiled, stretching his bread cheeks which always triggers everyone's cute aggression. "I'm going to head back now—"
"Shit!"
The screen turned to black in a blink that made Jay and engenes curse simultaneously.

A beat later and the lights turned on again.
Sunoo and Jay were both sporting a comically shocked face: eyes as wide as saucers, and jaws tense. Sunoo side-eyed the camera.
"T-That was nothing, everyone." He nervously chucked.
"Yah, let's get out of here," Jay whispered hurriedly.
"It's not a ghost, hyun—"
Lights off.
Silence.
Lights on.
Sunoo and Jay were now jaw-slacked.
Lights off.
Lights on.
And off again. And on and off and on and off—
"It's definitely a ghost! RUN!"
Loud scuffles, heavy breaths, and various pitches of squeaks (Jay swears that was all Sunoo) reverberated as the screen flashes with the flickering light inside the dorm. Every footstep is heavy—the loud thuds translated the two Enhypen member's desperate attempt to flee the dorm this instance.
Sunoo, the ever meticulous Sunoo when it comes to camera etiquette, eventually blocked the camera with his palm as he struggles to wear his slippers. Jay, on the other hand, had foregone his slippers and dashed out of the door, screaming on top of his lungs.
"JAY-HYUNG, DON'T LEAVE ME!!" Sunoo squealed, desperate.
