The Starlight Rider

Summary:

Written from the perspective of an Earth fan of The Starlight Rider.

After being saved by the hooded vigilante, I couldn't bare to let him slip through my fingers as quickly as he'd arrived. If it was only a single night, I could live with that.

Notes:

This fic was originally written to be nested into another fic that is much more spicy, so I won't name it here.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

My hair whipped against my face as I gripped his leather clad body. Tucked under his starlight cloak, hidden from the vampire’s gaze, I nuzzled his back. The motorcycle weaved between traffic with an eerie, windswept silent glide.

With a flick of a shadow, the final vampire fell in a fiery explosion. I clung as the dark vigilante accelerated, leaving the wreckage behind.

After only a minute, the ride of my life slowed until we ghosted into an adjacent alleyway. Its shadows expertly masked our presence as we glided to a silent stop.

“Can you find your way from here?” His smooth voice asked, undisturbed by the events on the motorway.

I hesitated to leave. My grip tightened around his solid chest, pressing my face against his back. If I let him go now, he’d vanish. I was sure of it.

“Can you walk me home?” I mustered the courage to ask.

His hand rested on mine, his fingers more gentle than I’d expected.

“Alright, let’s go.”

When he stood, I had no choice but to follow as I’d been refusing to let go. He let out a chuckle as I dangled behind him on the bike. Finally, embarrassment caused me to loosen my grip and dismount the bike.

“Lead the way.” He gestured with his hand.

Walking further into the dark, I chose a winding path that would obscure us from any potential straggling bikers. “What about your bike?”

“Don’t worry about it.” A pointed chin and hint of a crooked smile played in the shadows of his hood. “I’ll pick it up later.”

When they finally reached her apartment building, I lingered at the door. As I unlocked it, I spied him turning away with a quick, “Stay safe.”

Before I lost my nerve, my hand shot out, grabbing his arm.

My eyes widened at the brazen action. This man could easily break me, yet it was the idea that I was being too forward that sped up my pulse.

My heart hammered in my ears as I leaned in to collect a kiss. I closed my eyes and let his arm be my guide. I felt my breath curl in the air. The barest brush of lips caressed mine, a tantalizing promise.

When I felt sure my advances weren’t spurned, I surged forward, pressing our lips together firmly.

My body rested against his, warming us both in the cool night air. His strong arms wrapped around me, drawing me in closer. I hummed into the kiss. Letting my hands drift up his body. I sank my fingers into the hood, searching out silky strands of hair.

His hood tumbled back and my eyes blinked open. Silver eyes gazed back at me, piercing in their intensity.

I took a step towards the door and tugged him along. As he allowed me to lead him inside, his gaze darkened with each footfall down the hall towards my bedroom. The door closed us into the darkness in my room and I pulled him close again.

A brush of lips against mine, there and gone, then another and another. With every teasing kiss, my hunger for the man grew. Each of my own kisses back grew more insistent as I tugged him towards the bed.

When my legs bumped up against the mattress, he cradled me down softly onto it. Our legs tangled as he climbed up to meet my waiting lips. He leaned in as my hand caressed his neck. His starlight cloak spilled out all around me.

I stared in awe. In the pale moonlight, his features appeared sharply appealing against the shifting void of stars.

Surging up to meet him, our kisses deepened. Our tongues played coy with each other until we felt confident they’d been properly introduced. We sank deeper into each other. My knees fell open, inviting him in, pulling him closer with my legs.

The press of his body entangled with mine tethered me to the earth’s surface. My body heated like lava flowing down a mountain. Our clothing was discarded as we exchanged kisses. The heat of his skin set my soul on fire.

He pressed me firmly into the bed. His weight, a steady comfort as my senses threatened to fly apart.

Every stroke of his body against mine fanned the flames until my mind and body crested in the inferno. I held onto him as we shook with aftershocks.

Soft kisses lulled me to sleep. The warm body against mine, a cocoon of safety.

When I awoke the next morning, the Starlight Rider had vanished with the shadows of the night.

Notes:

This was incredibly different to write and at first, I could not stand to reread it to even edit it. 😆 Turns out it's not as cringe as it felt to write. I think the combo of writing from first person along with the lack of details threw me off a lot. I even found myself going back and removing simple things like what Jason smells like because an Earth fan wouldn't have known that.

Definitely worth the extra effort to have something tangible to weave into one of my regular stories though. Kind of makes me wonder if someone needs to write a Jason/Farrah someday. 🤔 That's another straight up channeling of the Earth fans though... because that's so much farther fetched from the canon than all the GAY I enjoy writing so much. 🤣 Gonna take practically having an out of body experience to nail that. 😂
