Work Text:
You had been sat at home for most of the day, it had been normal. You'd cleaned, done the laundry, anything to get your mind off the fact that Leon was coming home today. You dreaded it, he was always in a bad mood whenever he came home which usually meant you would end up in a mood as well. Every time you dreamed that he would act differently, that he would scoop you up into his warm embrace and tell you how much he missed you. Unfortunately however, that still remained a dream, and would continue considering that right before Leon had left for his mission you had started an argument with him and left it unfinished.
You were sat on the couch with the TV playing quietly in the background, not that you were really interested in it. Instead you'd been staring at the front door, glancing over to the clock on the wall every so often and counting down the hours until Leon walked in. The clock turned 8:01 pm and before you could even think you heard the quiet jangling of keys and the faint sound of the front door unlocking. You quickly snapped your head away from the door, focusing on the TV and pretending that everything was normal.
The front door creaked open before Leon's boots could be heard hitting the hard wood floor under his heavy weight. The sound of a large bag hitting the floor could be heard and then you heard footsteps growing closer. You took a deep breath in and pretended as if you didn't notice. Before you could take another breath Leon walked in, making his way over to the couch opposite the one you were resting on and collapsing onto it and spreading his legs slightly. He tipped his head back for a moment before lifting it back up to look at you. He stared at you, the room was silent apart from the quiet noise coming from the TV and the faint ticking of the clock. It was quite obvious that you were ignoring him, and it was slowly beginning to get on his nerves.
Before the clock could tick again Leon spoke up in a quiet tone, "So I don't even get a hello?"
Reaching over for the remote and pausing the TV you then looked over at him.
"Hi.", you responded coldly and quickly looked back towards the TV again, acting as if he wasn't even there.
His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he examined your face, "Is this really how you're gonna act? I've just come back home after an insanely stressful mission and this is how you're gonna treat me?" He spoke in a clearly annoyed tone.
You glanced back towards him "Well considering you slammed the door in my face mid-argument the last time I saw you, you can't expect me to be jumping for joy at the fact you've just come home." You spoke coldly again, this time glaring at him slightly as you spoke.
Leon shot a similar glare back toward you before speaking up, "You're acting like I started that argument-" He watched you continuing to glare at him before he raised his tone, "Jesus would you quit looking at me like that!"
You then looked away for a second before getting up and walking out of the room quietly before going into the kitchen to try and get away from Leon, but unsurprisingly he followed after you. "Yeah just walk away! God, you're so immature!", he snapped to you as he followed.
That remark was the thing that finally tipped you over the edge, you turned back around and walked up to him as he was stood a few steps away from you, "Me? Immature?! At least I'd be mature enough not to walk out mid argument because my point wasn't strong enough! You can't handle the idea that I have emotions too and that it's not fair on me how often you're away on missions! It's so infuriating!" You were shouting at this point and couldn't care less if the neighbours could hear, instead you waited to see Leon's reaction to what you'd just said.
He just looked at you with a bored expression on his face before he spoke up, "Are you done yet?"
Did he just- This man made your blood boil sometimes. You looked at him stunned for a second, not saying a word.
Leon then took that as the perfect opportunity to get on your nerves even more, his bored expression on his face turned into a smirk as he spoke up again, "What? Cat got your tongue love?"
It indeed did have your tongue, but you would never admit that. You stood there silently, biting your cheek with an outraged look on your face. Then without thinking, you quickly lifted your hand up and slapped him across the face harshly, not enough to badly hurt but enough to make a point.
His smug expression was immediately wiped from his face and was replaced now with a shocked one. Of all the things he expected you to do, it was most definitely not that. He stayed silent for a second, his eyes looking over your chest which was rising and falling heavily due to your anger before he decided to break the silence,
"Did you just fucking hit me?", He spoke quietly but it was obvious from just the infuriated look on his face how angry he actually was.
You stared at him for a moment not saying anything, you didn't mean to hit him it just sort of.. happened-
"Don't fucking ignore me." His icy blue eyes glared into yours as you refused to talk, you just stood there breathing heavily and looking into his eyes.
"Jesus fucking christ-", he continued to look into your eyes for a moment before his large hands grabbed your face. He then pulled your face closer and captured your lips in a rough and passionate kiss.
You didn't resist, instead your hands reached up to his hair, fingers threading into it as he deepened the kiss. All of the anger and frustration that had built up between the both of you over the time Leon was gone had melted into that moment. His tongue slipped into your mouth and was caught in a lustful dance with yours.
After a few moments Leon pulled away and focused in on your eyes, his chest rising and falling as he steadied his breathing, his hold on your face loosening a little.
You looked over his face while steadying your breathing before breaking the silence, "Shit..-" you said between heavy breaths,"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit y-"
Before you could finish your sentence Leon started kissing you again. He moved one hand to your ass and lifted you up. You kissed him back, matching his pace. When he lifted you up you wrapped your legs around his hips so he could take you wherever he planned on taking you.
Leon stopped kissing you when he lifted you up and began walking you over to the kitchen counter. Your lips drifted down to the side of his neck as you lightly kissed it, leaving faint red marks. When he finally sat you down on the cold marble surface he leaned in and kissed you again, this time softer but still slightly passionate. He pulled away for a second and examined your face again before speaking quietly and lovingly,
"God, I missed you so much."
