You found yourself. Found yourself without a place of belonging, without the strands of connection that once lit your path. You welcomed the void, your shadow eclipsing all that you once stood in awe of.
You lost.
You lost those lights that stood by your side. You lost yourself. Broken into pieces; scattered across eternity. Where do you begin and where do you end?
You had so many chances. Chances to succeed, chances to change course, chances to see and be seen. Thirteen lifetimes and you didn't live in even one.
You lost everything to a bunch of children. All those years wasted living in the past when you could have lived.
You once looked to the future with hunger and ambition in your gaze. Now, all of it is gone. Does it satisfy you? This empty ending you've arrived at?
You were never the Child of Destiny.
