Chapter Text

" I'm going to die." She complained as she crawled into a ball on the sofa. Charles came gave her a look and put the tea in his hand onto the table in front of the sofa.

"You're not going to die." He spoke calmly, used to her moody behaviour. He ruffled her hair softly, he was trying to ease her tension for a while now.

"You're a man, you don't understand." She stated, a bit frustrated. She knew he was only trying to help her but the cramps were so annoying and it just hurt so much. She exhaled loudly, feeling overwhelmed.

"Yeah, but you won't die."

"I'm gonna die." She said as she made herself even smaller.

"Why do you refuse to take painkiller, then?" He asked, really curious because she was refusing it everytime even though she was in pain.

"It fucks up my menstrual cycle, i hate it." She grimaced, clearly annoyed by not being able to ease the pain. "It doesn't affect it if it's a light one but those don't even help with the pain so it's useless."

He caressed her hair affectionately. "I made you tea, maybe it can help." He murmured as he took the tea and bring it closer to her. "I know you don't like it when it's too hot so i made it a bit warmer rather than making it too hot. It's sage tea, the one you like the most and i added a bit of lemon." She finally raised her head, looking at the tea glass as her eyes teared up. Charles panicked when he saw her tearing up and put the tea back on the table.

"Hey, honey bug, is there something wrong? Do you not want to drink it? It's okay if you don't. Hey, princess, please look at me." He worried, not sure what to do. He calmed a bit when she hugged him tightly.

"It's not that." She mumbled between quiet sobs. "What is it baby?" He asked, still worried.

"I just love you so much. You care so much about me and my period is making me an emotional ball." She said with her voice trembling.

"Oh, my baby. I love you so much too." He hugged her just as tightly.

"I'm so lucky to have you two." She said as her sobs calmed down. "No baby, we're lucky to have you. You're one of the greatest things that happened to us."

Charles saw Max peeking from door before fully entering the room. His worried face softens. "Is my babies emotional, hm? I heard you from kitchen." He says as he walks to their daughter to sit beside her on the sofa.

"Sorry to worry you, papa. I was just a bit emotional so hugging with dad helped me." She sighed as she sat properly, leaving the hug first. Turned to his other dad as she wiped her tears.

"It's okay to have mood swings, love. Don't feel bad about how you feel, we're your dads, you can always talk to us about everything. We're always here for you." He told her while pulling her into a hug. She immediately hugged him. "Thank you for always being here for me." She smiled as she made grabby hands towards Charles, wanting to hug him too. He hugged them both with a soft smile on his lips.

"Can you add a bit of honey in my tea please?" She asked after a while, finally feeling a bit better and lighter.

"Of course, amour. You talk with your papa while i go add honey to your tea, okay?" She nodded, hugging Max tighter. Charles and Max shared a look, full of love and care. Charles kissed her forehead before kissing Max fondly. He was so proud of their family. Him, Max and their beloved daughter...
