The Rose & The Thorn

Summary:

This is not a continuation of the J&F story, but you will need to have read it to understand this one. This is an AU of the J&F universe, and the butterfly affect from one simple change. What if Iwaizumi never ended up a private investigator?

--

A prison based AU centred around Iwaizumi and Oikawa. The non con is between Iwaoi and occurs in chapter two. This is very much a dead dove, do not eat story.

--

This will have a lot of additional tagging, characters etc added, I have literally done the tags for the first chapter so far. I will try and add the full set of ships in the next update.

--

I will update this section on the archive warnings prior to any of those parts being released.

Notes:

This was meant to be out in December but I then got a virus that put me in bed for 2 months. I have only just starting writing it now, so updates will be slow over the next year or so.

This first chapter is set in the J&F universe, and is the transition to the AU. The AU and full story starts in chapter two.

Chapter 1: A Curious Fox

Chapter Text

Life on the Island was peaceful for those who still lived there. Atsumu was unsure where most of the inhabitants were currently, having roamed away from where Sakusa was tending to his garden early this morning. It was a warm spring day, not long since the final chills of winter had crept back into the shadows. He moved across the sand, feeling the warmth seeping into his toes. Atsumu was now on the far side of the island, he flopped down on the sand, wiping his sweaty brow and stretched out to take rest his eyes.

Atsumu woke with a start to water lapping his feet and the deep orange hues of the remaining dregs of sunlight on the horizon. He pulled his feet back from the rising tide and stood up, dusting the sand from his clothing and turned to look along the beach towards home. It was then he spotted a glint of something reflecting in the light, curiosity piqued, he moved towards it, and tried to pull the silver handle of something from the sand. The object would not budge, causing Atsumu to sigh and start digging.

Darkness had taken hold by the time he had shifted enough sand to uncover the item, finally pulling out the silver item, that was glowing slightly at the end. Atsumu reached towards the light, and felt himself launched backwards into the sand, and everything around him vanished.
