i wanted to bite, not to destroy

Summary:

“That's fine,” Moze shrugged, taking off his own shoes. “We don't need to sleep together.”

“You're okay with it?” Jiaoqiu faltered.

“Why wouldn't I be? I'm supposed to be focused on finals.” Moze sighed. “Also, I don't know if you remember, but I'm not gay.”

Work Text:

Moze could admit he sometimes missed social cues and was generally emotionally stunted. He hated going to parties, like this one, for that exact reason.

It's too bad he's friends with Feixiao.

She had a habit of partying every weekend and drinking herself to the point of blackout drunk, which meant that whoever she went with took on the role of babysitter. Usually, he was able to avoid her shenanigans, but this time she had managed to guilt-trip him by bringing up her recent breakup.

“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else right?” Feixiao had said, laughing but completely serious. Moze hadn't replied with anything other than an eye roll, but internally made it his mission to make sure she didn't go through with that plan. There's no way that was a healthy way to heal from a breakup.

He regretted it as soon as they walked into the apartment. The music was blasting and the people were dedicated to drinking and dancing — which would have made for a great night, if he were anyone else.

Moze watched as Feixiao separated herself from him immediately, spotting some other friends of hers. That worked out for him, he can keep a better eye on her from afar.

He made his way over to an empty corner in the living room after grabbing a beer from the kitchen; Feixiao was still with her small group and Moze knew he would need a drink now if this night were to continue.

People around him shifted, talking and bobbing to the music. There were a few attempts at flirting he ignored in favor of keeping tabs on Feixiao (who was now in the center of a dance circle with a familiar pink-haired male foxian).

They were extremely close together, with her grinding on him, and were being cheered on by the crowd surrounding them.

He stayed silent and held his beer tightly. Moze could feel his jaw clench in annoyance.

Jiaoqiu was another of Feixiao’s friends. He was everywhere — not just at parties, but at hangouts in Feixiao’s apartment, in his classes, and even at the grocery store. Well, there was only one on-campus grocery store but, still, couldn’t he choose a different day to go?

Moze couldn’t explain why Jiaoqiu bothered him so much. Maybe it was the fact that he was so easygoing and open (completely opposite to himself), or maybe it was the forced proximity driving him insane — they were both Theatre majors with a minor in Kinesiology, which led to a lot of overlap in courses.

It didn’t help that they had a not-so-quiet competition between them. They were always competing for the same roles, monologues, and scenes in class. Their professors encouraged it (supposedly to see the different takes they had on the source material), placing one barely above the other when grading just to stoke the fire. Moze was confident in his skills, able to bring a restrained and grounding aura to his characters, but Jiaoqiu was something else entirely.

Watching him on stage was like experiencing the event firsthand. Where Moze would’ve gone for a more subdued performance, Jiaoqiu committed to showcasing a full display of vulnerability.

Moze sometimes wondered if Jiaoqiu being gay helped with his acting. Sometimes he wished he was gay, if only to make life in the Drama department easier.

The dance circle broke apart once Feixiao and Jiaoqiu stopped dancing, heading towards the kitchen. Moze assumed they were going to grab new drinks, but lost sight once they passed the threshold into the other room. He trusted Jiaoqiu though, and knew Feixiao was in good hands if they stuck together.

He felt a body press up against him a few minutes later, and then caught a glimpse of pink hair out of the corner of his eye. Again, he knew Feixiao was in good hands if they stuck together.

“A little creepy to be staring for so long, don’t you think?” Jiaoqiu tittered, looking up at Moze.

“I’m just here to keep Feixiao out of trouble,” Moze grunted.

“She can take care of herself.”

“I’m not so sure. She’s planning on going home with someone tonight, to get back at Yukong.”

Jiaoqiu scoffed, “She’s not the only one planning on going home with someone tonight.”

“Well, it’s different,” Moze muttered, taking a sip of his beer. He bit back a grimace — who likes this stuff?

“Is it? I didn’t take you for a hypocrite.” Jiaoqiu teased.

Moze went rigid.

A few months ago, around the time their …rivalry… really started, Moze had been going through his own breakup. At a party like this one, he and Jiaoqiu hooked up. They both regretted it as soon as it happened, and promised to speak a word of it to no one. Moze in particular was confused as to how it happened, as he had never been attracted to a man before. Even his ex-girlfriend had trouble getting him excited.

Then it kept occurring, as if it was a law of the universe for them to fall into bed together whenever they saw each other.

Moze thought it was the fact that Jiaoqiu reminded him of a girl — with his long, soft hair, small waist, and sharp eyes — or his reactions whenever they got together — he loved having his sensitive ears, neck, and tail touched — that made it hard to curb his attraction. It might’ve been a combination of both.

“I’m not,” Moze defended.

“Relax,” Jiaoqiu drawled, tail swishing behind him. He stepped away, towards the stairwell by the apartment’s entrance. “I’m going to the bathroom.”

A clear invitation. Moze wouldn’t give in this time, he had a responsibility to babysit Feixiao and knew she was quickly passing the thin line between tipsy and drunk.

He moved to the trashcan by the main doorway to throw away his beer can, scanning the room for his friend as he did so. She was with Lingsha, who hardly ever drank, and was often the one taking care of her at these things anyway. It was clear to anyone with eyes how Lingsha felt about her, but that wasn’t any of Moze’s business.

He took the out for what it was, and went up.

The bathroom was easy to find and had no line, fortunately. Moze paced a bit before finally knocking, and Jiaoqiu opened the door to pull him in. It closed behind them just as swiftly.

Jiaoqiu didn’t waste any time with a greeting, using his leverage on Moze’s shirt to yank him into a deep kiss.

Moze rested his hands on the back of Jiaoqiu’s thighs, tapping his fingers to signal that he wanted Jiaoqiu to jump. When he did, the human easily lifted him onto the bathroom countertop and crowded him against the mirror. Jiaoqiu gasped, and Moze took advantage by licking into his mouth, sucking on his tongue.

The pink-haired man let go of his grip on the other man’s shirt, effectively wrinkling it, in favor of undoing Moze’s belt and jeans. Jiaoqiu slid his palm over the visible length straining against his boxers, which was half-hard already from the anticipation.

Groaning, Moze pulled back, leaving only a thin strand of saliva still connecting them. Jiaoqiu’s expression was clouded, lust-drunk already. His eyes were heavylidded, pupils blown, and his tail and ears alike had not stopped moving. The gray-haired man’s hands slipped under Jiaoqiu’s own shirt and returned the favor, unbuttoning his pants.

Briefly, Moze wished the party hadn’t been so dark and crowded, so he could properly see how the foxian’s ass had filled out the material. There was a strike of some kind of jealousy when he recalled how Feixiao had danced with him, surrounded by drunk students. He should’ve intervened somehow, and dragged Jiaoqiu away for this.

Was he developing some kind of crush on Feixiao?

Jiaoqiu looped his arms around his shoulders, effectively distracting Moze. He brought him forward so he could tuck his face in the junction between his neck and collarbone, kissing and sucking at the skin there. They both knew of the rules against any sort of marks, but Moze couldn’t stop his own shivering at the idea that Jiaoqiu might bite too hard and leave the indentations of his teeth behind.

The pink-haired man lifted his hips off the counter, helping Moze shimmy off his pants and underwear to his knees. Distantly, Moze realized this would have to be quick — and lamented the fact that they hadn’t left the party completely to go fuck in Jiaoqiu’s bed.

Out of convenience, of course. It was right next to a gas station. Nevermind that Moze wouldn’t be driving, and that his own place was closer.

He took his dick out from his boxers, and tugged Jiaoqiu close enough to the edge that they could slide their cocks together. The pink-haired man made a loose fist around both organs, and started a smooth, quick rhythm. Both men moaned at the touch, hips stuttering to thrust into Jiaoqiu’s hand.

Moze bit his lip and stuck the tip of his thumb into Jiaoqiu’s mouth, trying to silence their noises as much as possible. His other hand travelled from Jiaoqiu’s waist to cover his hand over their cocks, tightening the hold. Moze took control of the pace, sliding their palms faster and feeling how Jiaoqiu’s mouth became more slack the closer he got to orgasm.

The foxian whined, “Wait… wait…”

Moze stopped immediately, concerned, “What’s wrong?”

“Not like this, inside.” Jiaoqiu moaned. He pushed the human back and got off the counter, bending over it instead. “Wanna come with you inside.”

Moze swallowed.

Jiaoqiu’s ass swayed side to side, his tail following suit. “Like this, c’mon. I’m ready.”

He prepared for this. Did he know Moze was going to this party with Feixiao? Or was he willing to settle for just anyone?

Like a man possessed, Moze kneaded Jiaoqiu’s cheek with one hand and lined himself up to his entrance with the other. He noticed his hole was slick already, slightly pink and loose. In one smooth movement, Moze pushed in completely. Jiaoqiu let out a deep groan, gripping tightly onto the edge of the sink.

There was a feeling of satisfaction he was unable to ignore or rationalize. The invisible competition between himself and the other men at the party was over — he had won.

There was a momentary pause, to allow Jiaoqiu to adjust to the intrusion. Once he was ready, he began moving his hips in earnest. The gray-haired man stayed still, happy to enjoy the view before taking over. He adored watching Jiaoqiu behave like this, desperate beyond words and unable to stop the little gasps of air whenever his cock hit the right spot.

The gray-haired man leaned over Jiaoqiu, his chest touching his back, and placed both hands on his waist. His hips pulled back and he moved forward with a forceful thrust, punching out a deep moan from his partner.

The thrusts were slow but powerful; Moze knew Jiaoqiu loved to feel the impact of Moze's hips against his body, the slide of his cock against his walls, and the sensation of his prostate being targeted with all the momentum. Still, the leisurely tempo didn't last for long before the both of them wanted more, and subsequently lost all coordination.

It was overwhelming, how much attraction and need Moze felt every time they did this. It was like his body couldn't bear to be separated from the pleasure Jiaoqiu provided. Not to mention the headrush it brought him, to see such a proud man be brought to a wet, keening mess beneath him. He wasn't sure any future girlfriend of his would ever measure up.

Moze captured the swishing tail in his palm, and slowly rubbed at the base.

Jiaoqiu whined, begging, “Please, more, more, more, Moze. Please.”

In lieu of a reply, Moze readjusted himself so he could reach Jiaoqiu's neck comfortably, and bit down at the little spot underneath his ear. Almost instantaneously, the pink-haired man came, shooting white ropes across the counter, his shirt, and on the mirror. Moze didn't stop touching the bottom of his tail, nor did he release Jiaoqiu’s neck. Instead, he sucked in some of the skin to bite down harder and applied more strength behind his strokes on the foxian's tail.

Someone had told him once that foxians were particularly sensitive in their necks, and Jiaoqiu had been no exception so far.

He felt Jiaoqiu tighten around him as he came, which was enough to send him over the edge. Refusing to let go of his position on top of Jiaoqiu, Moze gave weak thrusts until he had ridden through the last of his orgasm.

With a deep breath, Moze separated from the other man. He reached over for some toilet paper and pulled out slowly, catching any of the fluid that began to leak.

“We forgot a condom,” Jiaoqiu sighed, still boneless on the counter.

“You're the only one I mess around like this with,” Moze responded, matter-of-factly. “Are you clean?”

Jiaoqiu, in a quiet voice, muttered, “Yes. I am.”

When Moze had wiped off the worst of it, including the slick and sweat that had gathered at the back of Jiaoqiu’s thighs, he dedicated some time to helping him get redressed. It felt strangely intimate, getting ready to face the outside world again.

When they were both decent, and the vanity cleaned of cum, they exited the bathroom. Apart, of course. Moze waited a good five minutes, or until someone in actual need of the bathroom knocked on the door.

He made his way down the stairs and looked for Feixiao. She was on the sofa, fully leaning into Lingsha's side. Lingsha and he made brief eye contact, which he used to gesture towards the main door. She nodded in acknowledgement before turning her full attention back to the silver-haired foxian.

Moze hadn't realized how suffocating and hot the apartment was until he left. The brisk air was as refreshing as it was absolutely freezing, and he was in a sudden hurry to rush home.

What he didn’t expect was for a guest to be waiting for him.

Jiaoqiu looked miserable, sitting on the small step outside of Moze's apartment. He was curled in on himself with both arms braced around him, shivering in the cold. The sight tugged at Moze's heartstrings, but it confused him more than anything else.

“What are you doing here?” Moze asked as he jogged up, fishing his keys out of his pocket.

“I need to talk to you.” Jiaoqiu mumbled, barely able to speak over his teeth chattering.

Moze unlocked the door and pushed it open, beckoning for the foxian to come inside. “What about? We just saw each other.”

Jiaoqiu sighed, toeing off his shoes in the doorway. He took a few tentative steps into the living room but made no movement to sit, instead standing anxiously and worrying his bottom lip between his teeth. He avoided looking at Moze at all, highly focused on the carpet underneath him.

“What is it?” Moze asked again. This was highly unusual, even for Jiaoqiu.

“I just… I can't do it anymore.”

“Can't do what?” This was throwing Moze for a loop; Jiaoqiu knew how much Moze disliked riddles.

“This… sleeping with you.. I can't.”

“Did I do something wrong?”

“Yes. Well, no. I just—” Frustrated, Jiaoqiu tried again. “I know what I said. At the beginning. But I can't pretend anymore.”

Their very first hookup had been inside a closet, between coats, shoes, and boxes. It was cramped, and they had been making out for some time when Jiaoqiu tried to escalate things further.

“I'm not gay,” Moze had argued, upon feeling Jiaoqiu palm against his erection. “It's just been a bad time for me.”

“It's okay,” Jiaoqiu had breathed. “You don't have to touch mine.”

“I don't—”

“You can pretend I'm a girl. I'll turn around,” Jiaoqiu offered, a teasing lilt in his voice.

After a second, Moze acquiesced. “Fine.”

Jiaoqiu flipped around, purposefully grinding his ass against his front.

It was all that the gray-haired man needed for him to start rutting against Jiaoqiu, grabbing him by the neck and turning his head for a messy kiss.

The night hadn't ended there, but all their other trysts followed a similar pattern. Moze never touched Jiaoqiu's cock directly, and they never fucked face-to-face.

“Yeah, I just thought….”

“You thought?”

“Nevermind. I was just worried things would get awkward. Once I called it off.”

“Nope.” Moze deadpanned. He stalked forward towards Jiaoqiu, grabbing one of the hands that had been stiff at his side this entire conversation. “Are you okay now?”

“I'm okay.”

Moze hummed, “Well, before we have to really get ready for finals and for winter break, what if we had another bit of fun? For the road.”

The foxian smirked. “For the road?”

“I would've done a few things differently if I had known it would be the last time, is all.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah,” Moze smirked, dragging Jiaoqiu to the couch before taking a seat.

“Like?” Jiaoqiu prodded, his mood visibly lifted.

“Like having you on your knees for me.” It was no secret that Moze loved Jiaoqiu’s mouth. But even more than appreciation for his skill, he loved watching his enthusiasm — and the way his ears would twitch when he grabbed the other man's hair or choked on a moan.

Jiaoqiu got on his knees, gathering his hair out of the way. He unbuckled Moze's belt and unbuttoned his jeans without hesitation, only pausing once he got to the final layer before skin.

Moze sucked in a breath once Jiaoqiu lowered his face, nuzzling at his dick through his boxers. Jiaoqiu took in deep lungfuls of air and mouthed over the fabric, creating a growing wet spot in the cotton. This view never got old, and the lust felt red-hot in his veins as Moze threaded his fingers through that pink hair.

With nimble fingers, the foxian peeled away Moze's boxers. His cock was only half-hard, but they both knew that was Jiaoqiu’s preference. They knew he was always the most satisfied when he felt it grow hard in his mouth, down his throat.

He licked a long stripe from Moze's balls to the tip, digging his tongue in slightly at the slit. Moze groaned, tightening his grip on Jiaoqiu's hair. Jiaoqiu wrapped his lips around the head and gave a hard suck, then leaned forward to take the full length inside. His face reached the end, burying his nose in Moze's pubes, and he swallowed around the organ.

The gray-haired man moaned, moving one hand to the front of Jiaoqiu’s neck. He massaged the muscle there, feeling himself through the taut skin there. At the movement, Jiaoqiu whimpered, sending vibrations directly into Moze's body. He looked up at him through wet lashes, eyes teary, cheeks flushed, and Moze groaned.

With the limited range of motion he had from sitting on the couch, he couldn't thrust into Jiaoqiu’s mouth as hard as they both wanted. Still, he was able to drive his hips up and set a pace they both enjoyed — if the foxian's whines and whimpers were anything to go by.

He was unable to resist the urge to touch Jiaoqiu’s ears, knowing how sensitive they were, and the moment he did, Jiaoqiu pulled off to sit back on his heels.

Moze was unable to hide the lust in his stare as Jiaoqiu stood and began to strip in front of him. He had seen his body enough times to know where every freckle, every mole, every scar sat and how each line of muscle only served to underline how attractive Jiaoqiu already was. His chest was well-defined and his arms and legs were toned from time in the gym — but Moze would never get over the way his abs flexed in arousal, or how he sometimes would drag his palms over his hips out of nervousness, before settling them on his waist.

This time, there was no anxiety or hesitation to be seen in Jiaoqiu’s movements. As soon as he was able to rid himself of his clothes completely, he straddled the human. Leaning back, he reached for Moze's slick cock and maneuvered it against his hole. He struggled, feeling it catch against his rim and then sliding away.

This definitely felt different, but Moze couldn’t put his finger on why he had been so against it before. He had been depriving himself of Jiaoqiu’s pinched, aroused expression for too long. Frustration looked sexy on him.

Grinning, Moze finally assisted him, forcing Jiaoqiu to sit all the way down on his member. They were lucky the slide was as smooth as it was, using only Jiaoqiu’s drool and Moze’s earlier cum to ease it in. He brushed back the foxian's pink hair, exposing his throat, and bit down at the same spot as earlier — the extremely sensitive area a little ways under his ear, towards the back of his neck.

Jiaoqiu immediately pulled away, tears falling down his face. “Do you know what it means?”

“What?” Moze startled.

“It's different for us,” Jiaoqiu sniffled, trying to regain his composure. “It's like claiming.”

“Claiming….?” Moze trailed off, still confused.

“Everytime you do that, my instincts think you want … Well, that you want me,” he explained, voice uncharacteristically tender. “As a mate.”

Oh. “I didn't know.” Moze tried to ignore the sharp spike of arousal that the thought brought him.

Jiaoqiu’s ears twitched, his nose wrinkled, and his hands curled where they were situated on Moze's chest. He didn’t speak.

“Jiaoqiu?” Moze murmured, rubbing his face against the foxian's neck. He made sure not to open his mouth, but his teeth still tingled with the urge to bite. “I won't do it again.”

Moze felt Jiaoqiu’s body tense. He untucked his face to gaze at the man on top of him, but the moment he made eye contact, he realized he was no longer dealing with the Jiaoqiu he knew.

His ears were sharp, alert, and facing Moze. His eyes were wide, pupils blown, with hardly any visible iris. Jiaoqiu’s mouth was open, and the fangs he usually kept tucked away were fully visible. There was a distinct sense of being hunted; it was clear who was predator and who was prey.

Moze didn't move out of instinct. He wasn't sure what he had triggered, and was generally clueless towards Foxian culture and behaviors. That had seemed to be the right call though, when Jiaoqiu leaned forward and dragged his fangs against Moze's own throat.

“You're a liar.” Jiaoqiu uttered, sounding out of breath. The movement had drawn attention back to the cock sitting inside of him, which hadn't softened at all. “I can smell you.”

Moze's hips jerked at that. “Smell me?”

“You do want me, you smell like you can't get enough of me.”

“I —”

Jiaoqiu rose, leaving only the tip in his hole before slamming back down. Both men groaned at the sensation, which only served as encouragement. He repeated the motion, drawing out moans from Moze and interrupting him at every turn.

Moze could barely cling onto his sanity. He felt himself drive his hips upwards, trying to meet Jiaoqiu halfway through each action. He was panting now.

“Just admit you're mine,” the foxian growled, running his hands through Moze's hair. He used the grip to yank Moze's head to the side, fully exposing the expanse of his neck. Jiaoqiu placed his fangs on the column of Moze's throat, threatening to pierce skin.

There was no resistance to be found. It was almost a relief. If it happened this way, if he was claimed against his will, he wouldn't be to blame for being with Jiaoqiu. It would make him a victim of circumstance.

Moze's head swam with how much he wanted it. He hadn't realized that until now.

When they first met, at orientation a couple of years ago, Moze wouldn’t have been able to guess the importance of Jiaoqiu to him. Their first impressions were nothing special, but both of them couldn't resist sneaking glances during presentations and group icebreakers.

Moze was always curious about Jiaoqiu. He was annoying in class, unafraid to speak up or show off during scenes and seminars — which then prompted Moze to participate and put him in his place. It was completely out of character for him. In his other, Jiaoqiu-free, classes, he regulated himself to the back and never socialized with his peers or bothered to answer questions in lectures.

Even in the classes required for their Kinesiology minor, Moze couldn’t help but let himself be riled up by their unspoken competition. He would go out of his way to join in on discussions, pose questions, and turn in extra credit. There was never any uncertainty as to whether Jiaoqiu felt the same. He would sometimes even instigate and provoke Moze directly — no matter if he interrupted the professor or a fellow classmate.

When Feixiao finally formally introduced them to each other (a semester after that first encounter at orientation), she had done so with a mischievous gleam in her eye. They got to arguing like cats and dogs almost instantly, much to her amusement. She admitted once, while drunk, that she organized hangouts between the three of them with the sole purpose of seeing their interactions.

It also didn't help that Jiaoqiu was so beautiful. For the first few months they had known each other, Moze had a girlfriend he had been seeing since high school, but he quickly found himself cancelling dates and calls with her when he learned of the Jiaoqiu’s plans. Subconsciously (or maybe consciously), Moze had been comparing him to his girlfriend in looks and personality, and it was hard not to find her lacking.

She had never sparked the same passion within him and it came as no surprise when they finally broke it off.

He wasn't the only one that had noticed what a catch the foxian was, either. Jiaoqiu was constantly being flirted with by unknown men at parties and on the street. Some even had the audacity to come up to Moze for a chance to get the other man's phone number. That always soured his mood, at least until Jiaoqiu shooed them away.

Moze had always told himself it was jealousy. Pretty girls always avoided him at parties, or would leave him unexpectedly. The few times he thought he was hitting it off with a girl, she turned him down in the end. Not to mention how it went with foxian women — they always looked surprised to see him flirting with them, which quickly devolved into disgust. He tried to stay away from them after so many confusing encounters. Jiaoqiu had much better luck than him, jealousy was the natural conclusion.

He was reconsidering that now.

In a daze, Moze tilted his head up, neck pressing against the fangs harder. Please. Bite me. He didn’t have the strength to say it out loud.

Jiaoqiu closed his mouth and laid kisses there instead.

Moze felt the disappointment of being unmarked like a tidal wave.

“Say it, say it. I'll fix it if you just say it,” Jiaoqiu cried, in between the presses of his lips.

Their pace had remained unbroken, but the desperation was steadily increasing.

Don't make me, please. Moze couldn’t afford to be gay. He thought of his family, who had adopted and raised him in the grace of the church. He wouldn't be able to face them with Jiaoqiu on his arm. They'd turn against him in disgust, at best, and commit him to one of their church's camps, at worst. Moze bit his lip to the point of bleeding — he didn't trust himself not to beg. Dig your teeth in. Take me.

“You're crying,” Jiaoqiu murmured. All of their movement had completely stopped. Both men now had tears tracking down their cheeks. “I'm sorry. I was wrong.” He started getting up, separating himself from Moze entirely.

The gray-haired man yanked him back down, refusing to let him go. Jiaoqiu and him both whimpered at the sensation.

Moze tilted his head all the way back, the crown of his head hitting the wall behind the couch. “Bite me.”

“You don't want it.”

“I need it. I can't live without it,” Moze stated resolutely.

“You're not gay, I'm forcing you.” Jiaoqiu argued. “You're saying it because I'm in heat.”

Moze didn't know what that was, but he knew that he couldn't go on without Jiaoqiu. “I love you. I don't think I knew what love was, or could be, before I met you.”

“Moze…. Are you messing with me?” Jiaoqiu asked in disbelief.

“You are the only one I could ever want. Please, please bite me. Make me yours.”

He heard Jiaoqiu release a controlled breath, before feeling those long fangs finally pierce skin. It stung immensely, and Moze had to bite his tongue to avoid letting out a scream. He felt the foxian lick over the wound, and then saw him lean back to inspect his work. Moze felt his dick throb when he registered Jiaoqiu's face covered in his blood.

He lifted Jiaoqiu, careful not to disconnect them, and carried them into his bedroom. Moze laid him down gently onto his bed and caged him in, watching as his blood dripped onto the sheets and his partner's chest. He felt like an animal, like he had claimed his own territory in turn.

Moze slammed his hips into Jiaoqiu without restraint.

Jiaoqiu slid up the sheets, mewling with each thrust. He clenched his fists in the sheets and locked his ankles around Moze's hips. “Make me yours, too.”

Moze didn't need any convincing. His own teeth were dull in comparison, but he was confident he could leave a mark just as beautiful on Jiaoqiu. He bit down on that same spot as earlier, sucking the skin in slightly to get a full imprint.

Rather than reacting in pain, Jiaoqiu clenched around him and began to cum. He let out a sound somewhere between a cry and a yowl, and the tears came back in full force.

That sent the human hurtling towards his own finish. Jiaoqiu had become like a vice around him, and it was like Moze could feel his partner's orgasm as if it had been his own. When Moze relinquished his hold on Jiaoqiu's neck, the foxian looked perfectly content and sated.

They breathed in each other's space for a few moments, until Moze had mostly softened, and lied next to each other.

Jiaoqiu broke the silence first. “How…. how do you feel?”

“Amazing. How do you feel?”

“Amazing.” Jiaoqiu nodded. “I didn't expect you to feel that way about me.”

“You didn't? You seemed pretty confident in it for a while there,” Moze remarked.

“It was a hunch. Foxians have a strong sense of smell, but it's more than that. We can smell other people, their designations, strong emotions, and some other stuff. It's just also not always accurate,” the pink-haired man explained.

“What do I smell like?”

Jiaoqiu flushed down to his chest. “Like… like me… But your usual scent is like metal, or static. When you're upset, it smells like a gas leak.”

“Why do I smell like you? What's that like?” Moze inquired further.

“I marked you.” Jiaoqiu hesitated. “That's why you used to always strike out when you tried to flirt.” When Moze stayed quiet, he continued, “People tell me that I smell like a spicy Sichuan peppercorn. Together, we kinda smell like barbecue.”

“Well, at least we smell good, and not like roadkill.” Moze chuckled. “Wait, what do I smell like when I'm not mad?”

“When you're… excited, you smell like lightning. It makes me feel like I'm about to get struck, or something. When you're happy, it smells like…. fireworks? Not in a bad way, just kind of smoky in a fun way,” Jiaoqiu smiled, shy. “Uh, when you're sad, it smells like rust.”

“Earlier, is that why you stopped? Did I smell like that?”

Jiaoqiu nodded. “I thought I was super off-base. What happened?”

Moze sighed. They were mates now, he had nothing left to hide. “My family. They're not the most accepting.”

“Oh. Is that why…” he trailed off, but they both knew Jiaoqiu was referring to everything that had transpired — primarily Moze's resistance towards accepting his sexuality.

“Yes. But I've made my decision. You're it for me, and they have no say in that.” Moze hoped that wasn’t too much.

“I never got to say it earlier, but I love you, too.” Jiaoqiu replied. He snuggled closer to Moze.

“I hope so, otherwise this all gets very awkward very quickly. “ Moze chuckled, unable to handle the serious atmosphere any longer.

Jiaoqiu perked up at that, taking the hint. He straddled Moze, “By the way, I hope you don't think we're done here. You triggered my heat.”

“Heat?”

“I'll explain it to you later. For now, all you need to know is that I'm not satisfied.”

“Oh no?” Moze grinned. He ran his hands up the foxian's thighs.

“Not even a little bit,” Jiaoqiu answered. His eyes were still blown and his fangs were still long — and his face and chest were completely covered in a drying layer of his tears and Moze’s blood. Neither of them minded.
