Chapter Text
Thinking about sick Andre. He’s restless and he can’t sleep because he feels nauseous. Every few minutes he has to get up to take a swig of water and pace around his room, trying to fight the puke rising in his throat. He doesn’t wanna throw up, even though he knows he’ll feel better if he does. He has to be at school tomorrow, and he can’t afford to be absent. Eventually, he falls asleep for maybe a few hours.
Then as soon as he wakes up, he tilts his head to the side and thick vomit pours from his lips. Maybe it’s the smell of breakfast downstairs. His body is shaky and he’s sweating a lot under his sheets. His parents hear the sound of puke splattering onto the floor, and his mom comes upstairs to check on him.
As she expected, her son is gagging softly as last night’s dinner comes back up in chunks, telling her that he’s sorry for making a mess in between waves of sick. She isn’t mad at him though, and she quickly grabs the wastebasket from under his desk and puts it on the floor beside him.
“Andre, liebsche, why didn’t you tell us something was wrong?” she asks, rubbing his back as he props his body up with weak arms. She can feel the sweat that’s been soaked up by his shirt and just wants her son to feel better.
“Sorry, Mom…” he mutters, tears welling in his eyes. He thought he was strong enough to hold back, to keep his own body in control. Mom is more upset that he didn’t tell her how he was feeling, and she calls the school and tells them he’ll be absent today. Whatever he needed to do at school can wait, Andre needs to get better first.
