Chapter Text
This is stupid. This is stupid! Ludicrous! Absolutely ridiculous!
One minute he's out astro surfing, having the time of his life far away from all the ridiculous political battles on Cybertron, and the next he's- he's- well okay he's not actually sure where he is but THAT'S THE PROBLEM!
Blurr doesn't know why it happened, he's not even sure how it happened, but something shot him across space and onto another planet. Or- he's hoping it's another planet. He could be in another dimension for all he knows but he doesn't know because he's on another planet! Dimension! GAAAH!
Everything had been going so well up until now. Cybertron was a mess, sure, but he wasn't the one messing it up. He really isn't sure of the specifics, but the Autobots and the Decepticons had started a war. He's not really sure what the difference between the two factions is either, just that some of them are red, some are purple, and none of them were his problem.
Whatever fight they'd started was between them. Blurr wasn't apt to get his helm shot off fighting over some colors. Neutrality was safe, or he'd thought it was safe. A lot of his friends had ditched him once all the political junk took a turn. They all said they "wanted to make a change" or "couldn't stand by and watch" watch what exactly? It was the fighting that was getting mechs killed.
As soon as he went home for the night and watched something else on his datapad it was like the war didn't even exist. More mechs should try that, its waaay easier to relax when the war just doesn't exist. But every other week it seemed like Maccadams had some new news coverage up about the most recent attack or some machine that had been used.
Scrap, whatever launched him here probably had something to do with that ridiculous war.
So much for neutrality.
Oh! Speaking of which!
"AAAAAAHHHHH!" Blurr screamed as he raced away from another large group of those nasty green things.
Whatever this planet was covered in did not know the meaning of neutral.
He's been running nonstop ever since he got here. The planet he was on was unfamiliar to him. It was a weird mix of tech, and what he eventually came to realize was organic material.
There were entire cities that almost looked Cybertronian but they were all covered in weird green stuff and these gross squishy things.
Some of them were even living organisms. They'd been chasing him for cycles. Around cycle three he'd learned the name 'Quintesson' because the nasty tentacled thing trying to catch him kept screeching about it.
Cycle five he'd learned that they also had mechanisms working for them. He'd tried to talk with them but they didn't even seem to understand him! And then they had the audacity to attack which- they yelled in Cybertronix so clearly they should've been able to understand him!
At the mark of the deca-cycle both he and the Quintessons had seemed to learn one very crucial fact.
Blurr was too fast.
Of course he'd always been too fast for most mechs, he was the fastest Cybertronian alive! Look at his records! But now, now he doesn't think he's ever felt more grateful.
His advanced speed was the only reason he hadn't been captured yet. The Quintessons were getting smarter though. They were trying out new tactics, new methods to trap him. Of course none had worked so far but he's been having more close calls than he'd like to admit.
Like right now.
His face shield snapped into place as he sprinted. He was being chased by one of the big tentacled ones again. At least it wasn't the little anklebiter mechanisms this time.
He jumped over one fallen building and down through the window of another. Some glass got in his treads but he didn't really have time to worry about that right now.
Long green tendrils worked their way into corridor and Blurr took off down the hall.
Give up give up give up! He mentally pleaded for the thing to go away. The strange chittering noises they made echoed through the halls and chilled the energon in his lines.
Another turn brought him to a window that he promptly scrambled out of before continuing to run on solid ground.
The large creature shrieked as it fought it's way out of the window frame. Some nasty gooey fluid was leaking out of it where the glass had cut its protoform. Or- was it protoform? What did organics have in them?
Regardless Blurr continued racing away. Faster faster faster faster- CRACK!
OW!
It was more of a mix of shock and surprise than it was pain. Well... Okay scratch that, definitely some pain. Something had slammed into his face shield.
Shrapnel at high speeds was dangerous. He of course knew that, that was why he had the shield installed. But, normal face shields also tended to look ridiculous and he had an image to uphold so his mask wasn't exactly the most damage proof.
Probably just some rock. Something small that fell from- CRACK!
"Okay! Frag!" He spat. Coming to a grinding halt. "Ugggghhhh that one cracked an optic." He muttered to himself. Okay technically not on optic, the goggle part of his mask that covered an optic but still! His vision glitched in his left, forcing him to steer right. After a moment he managed to find a relatively safe looking corner and slammed himself against the wall while the Quintesson thundered past.
The screaming of the monster disappeared after a moment and he finally got the chance to vent. He was getting really tired of constantly running for his life. Not to mention he would need energon eventually.
Scrap... what was he gonna do? Wither away and die on this nowhere planet surrounded by organics?
"Hi!"
A high pitched yelp escaped the Velocitronian as he plastered himself against the wall he'd been hiding behind.
He looked down at what had made the noise and found... Okay what in Unicron?
"Hi! You go quick! What a neat trick!" A tiny orange bot greeted.
"Hey that- that rhymed" Blurr remarked, rather than acknowledge the fact that he was talking to a sparkling that had appeared out of nowhere in the middle of this abandoned planet.
"No time to be slow. We gotta go! Before the Quintessons know!" The little mech exclaimed, grabbing his servo and hurrying forward.
Blurr stumbled, a bit too stunned to follow along. The sparkling turned to face him again. "C'mon let's go!"
It managed to snap the taller mech out of his thoughts and he began following along after the tiny mech. "See! You did it again!" He pointed out as he ran with the younger (?) mech to a new hiding place.
