Raspberry

Summary:

Kuroji gives Saragimaru a gift.

Notes:

Hi, I haven't written something in a hot minute so this probably isn't very good, but I wanted to write something len'en related. I haven't read/played the Len'en games in a bit so this might be a bit ooc but I tried to make it sound like the characters.

Work Text:

It was another day for the orochi, which to them was just another day in what felt like hell. Having to work for this scoundrel and their siblings, dealing with bullshit, knowing that at any moment Kuroji could ruin everything for them. They let out a sigh, they just wanted to sleep. It was February so the snow hadn't yet melted and the air was as chilly as usual.

“Hey,” as Saragimaru curled their tail around their leg, they heard the voice of the scoundrel they've grown accustomed to, “It's time to wake up, we have work to do.”

Saragimaru slowly rose from their futon and looked up at the purple-black eyes of their so-called “master”.

“Before that though,” Kuroji took out a pale pink box in the shape of a heart, “Happy Valentine's day.”

Saragimaru looked at the box in confusion, wondering why Kuroji of all people would be giving them a Valentine's day gift. The orochi took the box anyway. Inside were various chocolates of different types, Sara picking one with dark red streaks. It was slightly bitter and was filled with a raspberry paste.

Kuroji made their trademark grin as they watched Saragimaru eat the chocolates in the box, “You should hurry up and finish that soon, I've got a great plan to make some more money,” It was probably going to be beating up another random yokai again, Sara thought.

As Kuroji walked out of the room, Saragimaru continued to eat the chocolates and ponder to themselves. They hated Kuroji, they truly did. But being given something like this from that filthy scoundrel made them feel a tad warmer in the winter.
