Rough waves was tossing the ship in all directions and the sky turned almost black from the strom clouds, swirling over the open sea. The whole crew was running back and forth trying to fight the dangerous element even though they saw their chances of survival as bleak. They could hold out only for a few hours but the storm was too strong and they were already losing strenght. They should have already accepted that within the next hour they would probably find themselves at the bottom of the ocean. Their strong will, however, did not allow for such a quick death, they had no intention of saying goodbye yet. The memories of this storm will be remembered and taken with them to the graves but not today.
Sharp raindrops were hitting the young body again and again and terrifying lightnings were blinding its eyes and irritating its hearing. But despite that it was keep hanging on, desiring to see the sunset one more time. The thing that it loved so much.
The belief that the storm will eventually end and they will be able to rest did not die and the captain was giving new orders trying to sae everything that was valuable to them and the members of the crew as well. Even if they survive, the rest of the food supplies will last for a few days at most. They had to find a land where they could replenish their provisions.
By every quarter of an hour there were less and less of them. The oldest ones were collapsing from exhaustion, lying on the deck like corpses, but the rest dd not waste the time and strenght to do anything about it.
Luckily, the sea started to calm dwon and the lightnings soon after stopped bothering their eyes completely. The whole crew could take a deep breath of relief and start to take an interest in the health of their companions. They haven't even notice that one of them is missing, because they were too focused on the luck of their lives being spared this time.
Meanwhile, the waves took the body of a young man that was too weak to fight with the water anymore.
