Chapter 1: Face Claims

Chapter Text

Gods

Hestia -  Gemma Arterton
Hestia’s preferred form is that of a young girl around eight or nine. With long auburn hair that framed her face in ringlets, warm hazel eyes that appear as if they are filled with flames, that give a warm and comforting feel to look into. She smells like wood smoke and toasted marshmallows. Hestia usually keeps her hair tucked under a lace shawl, wears plain dresses, and never uses makeup.

Hades - Mads Mikkelsen
Hades is described as a very tall, imposing and very muscular god with albino white skin (due to the little time he spent in the sunlight), intense black eyes that "glitter like frozen tar", and which were either the eyes of a genius or a madman, and having a mesmerizing, charisma, and short black hair that is often slicked back.  When Hades is passionate, his black eyes "flare with purple fire." Hades usually likes to be ten feet tall, though he could be larger or shorter. His voice is described as soothing and baritone. Hades often wears black flowing robes over his turtleneck and slacks.

Demeter - Lena Headey
Demeter was described as exceptionally beautiful and radiant, she has long lustrous blond hair the color of ripe wheat and warm brown eyes. She wears a bright green dress with a dark cape, which gives her the appearance of fresh plant shoots breaking through fertile earth whenever she moves. She also wore a crown of woven corn leaves and adornments of poppies and had a sweet distinctive scent of a rainstorm over a field of jasmine. Wherever she went, Demeter was said to cut a surprisingly warlike figure. As a goddess, she has the ability to assume any shape she desires, though it must be noted that she retains her stunning beauty and dignity no matter what physical manifestation she adopts.

Poseidon - Michael Fassbender
Poseidon has been described as tall, handsome, powerful, yet gentle. He has medium length shaggy black hair, a neatly trimmed black beard, a deep tan, and sea-green eyes (inherited from his mother Rhea) that were surrounded by sun-crinkles that told one he was prone to smiling. His hands are also scarred like an old-time fisherman's. When casual (which is almost always), he wore Birkenstocks (leather sandals), khaki Bermuda shorts, a Tommy Bahama shirt with coconuts and parrots all over it (or any other Hawaiian shirt), and a cap decorated with fishing lures which says "Neptune's Lucky Fishing Hat." When in official capacity he wears magnificent flowing green robes, with a crown of seashells on his head.

Hera - Ming-Na Wen
Hera is described as a supremely beautiful woman with long silver-golden hair that is often seen tied in a braid with gold and silver ribbons woven in over one shoulder. Hera is tall and graceful, purple-golden eyes that shone with power, sharp and high cheekbones and a sunny smile. A face of regal and unapproachable beauty like that of a supermodel. Hera is described to be both terrible and beautiful in her wrath, glowing in power. She wears a floor-length, pastel purple dress with a deep V-neckline, laced with golden trims, that exposes much of her bust. Her dress has a high slit on the left, revealing her entire leg. Hera also wears jewelry, from her royal tiara to armbands and necklaces, the most prominent being a golden choker decorated with aqua gems and clear ornaments. She is also depicted wearing the Golden Fleece. As a goddess, she has the ability to assume any shape she desires. But she always retains her regal beauty and queenly grace no matter what physical manifestation she adopts.

Zeus - Lance Reddick
Zeus is very tall, imposing, and very muscular, with shoulder-length white hair and a gray-and-black neatly trimmed beard. He has brilliant electrically-blue eyes with a serious and proud, but very handsome face. However, when Zeus is infuriated, his face becomes as dark as a thundercloud. In addition, when he is saddened, Zeus' gaze seemed as far away as the ozone layer. Zeus' normal attire is a dark blue pinstriped suit. The air around Zeus smells like ozone, rain and clean wind. When in official capacity Zeus wears white robes with threads of gold, and is described as looking very intimidating. In his divine form, Zeus is described as being surrounded by a massive column of twisting lightning and fire. While not wielding the Master Bolt, Zeus has it clipped to his belt. He sometimes wields the Aegis, which appears as either a bronze shield, with the fearsome visage of Medusa upon it, or a glowing mantle, that glitters as if woven through with filaments of Imperial Gold.

Aphrodite - Diane Kruger, Kylie Bunbury, Gratiela Brancusi
Aphrodite is the personification of pure unrivaled beauty, Aphrodite's true appearance is actually unknown as she would appear to others as their personal epitome of physical attraction. Above all Aphrodite is simply the fairest, most beautiful, desirable, alluring, and elegant goddess in all of existence. But the one form she takes when someone doesn’t have an ideal version of love, she has long light violet hair,  fair skin, and beautiful seafoam eyes when she is infuriated her eyes glow pink. Aphrodite is different from other extremely beautiful women, she is elegant without trying, fashionable without effort, stunning without makeup. Aphrodite also takes special care of her looks and can see the tiniest flaw. Her outfits change based on whatever she feels like wearing.

Apollo - Sam Clafin
Apollo was described to be an extremely handsome god, with long blonde hair which frames his face slightly, bronze-tanned skin, golden eyes like the sun, and eyelashes that are the color of his hair. Like many of the male gods, he is tall and muscular. His radiance was enhanced by his wearing a Greek robe of gold, and a beautiful golden bow and a quiver of magical arrows over his shoulders. And almost always has a laurel wreath on his head. His smile is blinding, while his eyes shone like molten gold, and he was surrounded by a flickering aura of honey-colored light.

Artemis - Kathryn Newton
Artemis appears to be an attractive, slender woman with long waist-length white hair held in a braid crown and her under hair is down when battle her hair is tied into a lower pony tail, bronze-tanned skin, and striking silver-grey eyes that can easily intimidate when she is angry.  Like the rest of the gods, she is taller than the average human. She prefers to take the form of a young girl to make her hunters comfortable. She wears a silvery parka, dark colored cargo pants, and a black turtleneck. She also wears a belt that resembles the lunar cycle, she wears royal blue fingerless gloves patterned on top and resembles 2 crescent moons to her wrist it has 3 crescent moons collide together. As a goddess she has the ability to assume any shape she desires, though it must be noted that she retains her incredible beauty and grace no matter what physical manifestation she adopts.

Ares - John Bernthal
Ares is described as a huge, muscular man with a belligerent attitude and a vicious sneer. He typically wears black jeans, combat boots, a black leather duster, and a red muscle shirt under a bulletproof vest. He also has a large hunting knife strapped to his thigh. He wears a necklace made from a heavy padlock and thick chain. He wears red-tinted sunglasses that conceal his attractive red eyes. His features are handsome, but in a cruel and brutal way, with scars all over his body from countless battles. He has short black hair that is well groomed and often messy from him running his hands through it. When in battle he wears a dark gray chest plate and gray pteruges, spiked shoulder pads holding his cape in place and forearm cuffs with spikes. He wears his war helmet, which is dark gray like the rest of his outfit and has a protruding arch. The helmet has three spikes spaced from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the nose. His golden shield is described as always smeared and dripping with blood and gore.

Athena - Alexandra Daddario
As a goddess, Athena is able to change her appearance at will, though she retains her stunning beauty and dignity no matter what physical manifestation she chooses. Athena is tall and slender, with an athletic yet elegant physique. She has tanned skin, stormy grey eyes that are bright and full of fierce energy and beautiful curly blond hair. Athena's face is beautiful and regal but also somewhat scary, the way a warrior goddess should look. Many realize through her startlingly, cold grey stare that she would make a terrible enemy. Athena was viewed to be one of the most beautiful goddesses of all, given how she was perfectly capable of attracting male attention, but she employs her powers to do horrible things to them if they don't leave on her first warning. Athena wears Imperial Gold armor overflowing white robes while wielding a spear and bronze Aegis shield, which sometimes change shape into a glowing mantle that glitters as if woven through with filaments of Imperial Gold.

Hermes - Tom Hardy
Like many of the male gods, Hermes has a tall, muscular, yet lean build. He has blue eyes and wears multiple gold accessories. He has a golden helmet that appears to have wings on it and wears winged boots. Similar to all the male gods, Hermes has a handsome face with elfish features, and a sly grin, somewhat noticeable resemblance to Zeus. He has curly black hair, which is braided, and fair-toned skin similar to his father, Zeus. He has a medium-length hooded cape, which is shown to be half tan and half reflective. When collecting souls or going on stealth missions, Hermes wears his helmet and puts his hood on. When Hermes becomes furious his eyes get steely cold, and his facial expression hardens like he'd turned into marble.

Dionyus - Stanley Tucci

Demigods

Cassara Melantha Jackson - Deva Cassel.
Cassara is a young girl with a mane of wild, untamable black curls that refuse to be subdued no matter the effort but very light and almost imperceptible are silvery stands hidden within. Her teal eyes mirror those of sea nymphs, constantly shifting in shade with her mood and the weather.  When her power stirs, they glow with an unmistakably inhuman light, an effect that unsettles most who meet her gaze. Her skin holds a golden hue that makes her look as if she is glowing. She carries an ever-present scent of sea salt, jasmine, hyacinth, and lotus, something ancient and ocean-deep clinging to her skin. Standing at 5’5”, the same height as Katie, Cassara uses her stature deliberately in combat, leveraging balance, reach, and intimidation rather than brute force.

Katie Gardner - Tess Romero.
Katie is a twelve-year-old girl during The Lightning Thief, with dark brown hair and eyes so deep a brown they are nearly black. She stands around 5’5”, shorter than many older campers, though her presence makes her feel larger than she is. Her expression is almost always blank, still, watchful, unreadable, like soil before a storm.

Thalia Grace - Tamara Smart.
Thalia is a teenager of African descent with shoulder-length, spiky and curly black hair, electric blue eyes. She is frequently described as extremely pretty by fellow campers, and outright beautiful by both Apollo and Artemis, though Thalia herself rarely seems to care. She has a lithe, athletic build, that of a long-distance runner: all coiled muscle and barely restrained energy. Her style is consistently punk-goth, shifting across the years but never losing its edge. Black leather jackets, ripped jeans, combat boots, chain jewelry, band pins, and heavy eyeliner are staples of her wardrobe. Whether in army jackets, camouflage pants, or battered denim held together with safety pins, Thalia wears her defiance openly. One of her most consistent accessories is a silver circlet, worn across her forehead, a symbol of her pact with Hera. Cassara once described it as looking like a princess’s tiara. She carries a magical silver bracelet that transforms into a modified version of Aegis, Zeus’s shield, as well as a collapsible mace canister that converts into a spear. Her presence crackles, like the air before a storm, and even at rest, she looks ready to fight.

Silena Beauregard - Serinda Swan
As a daughter of Aphrodite, Silena possesses both charmspeak and the subtle ability to alter her appearance at will. At different times, her hair has been black, brown, or blonde; her eyes have appeared chocolate brown or clear blue. In every version of herself, she is slim, graceful, and unavoidably striking, so beautiful that people stop to stare without quite realizing why. Her true appearance, the one she returns to when she is not shaping herself for the world, is black hair and blue eyes. There is something deliberate in that choice, as if she prefers honesty when she can afford it.

Clarisse La Rue- Dior Goodjohn
Clarisse La Rue is a young woman with a calm, serious presence that makes people straighten unconsciously when she enters a space. She has long, dark, naturally curly hair, parted down the middle and falling past her shoulders in loose, defined curls. Her skin is a warm medium-brown, and her features are strong but balanced, straight brows, deep-set dark eyes, a straight nose, and full lips usually set in a neutral, unsmiling line. She does not look loud. She looks prepared.

Will Solace - Walker Scobell
At the beginning of the story, Will is eleven years old and already noted for his surfer-boy build: shaggy, curly blond hair perpetually sun-tousled, bright blue eyes, and an athletic frame that looks more at home on a beach than a battlefield. He typically dresses casually, T-shirts and shorts, even when the weather or situation demands otherwise. A stylized sun tattoo is etched over his left pectoral, faintly warm to the touch.

Drew Tanaka- Lana Condor
Drew is described as a tall, beautiful and glamorous teenage girl of Japanese descent with dark hair in ringlets, warm brown eyes, plenty of jewelry and perfect makeup. She wears lots of pink eyeliner. She smells of nutmeg and pine, comparing her to the smell of "Christmas". She wears a glittering platinum pendant with a diamond D, possibly her initial.

Nico Di Angelo - Jack Dylan Grazer
Nico di Angelo has perpetually messy black hair, as though he has just rolled out of bed, and olive skin that steadily pales over time. By The Battle of the Labyrinth, that warmth has drained from him entirely, his complexion turning ghost-white, his fingers described by Hazel Levesque as looking like their father’s: cold, bloodless, and wrong. Cassara notes that Nico has his mother’s eyes, though there is often a wild, unhinged glint in them that unmistakably mirrors Hades. His hands, according to Cassara, are “as cold as ice.” He favors black clothing, often decorated with skeletal motifs, and is never without his Stygian iron sword, worn on a chain belt at his side. By the end of The Battle of the Labyrinth, he wears a silver skull ring, Bianca’s final gift to him, an heirloom belonging to Hades himself. He is frequently seen in an aviator jacket, a relic of the 1940s world he never truly left behind.

Bianca Di Angelo - Jenna Ortega
At the beginning of The Titan’s Curse, Bianca is described as having olive skin and silky dark hair, a mirror of her younger brother Nico. She often wore a floppy green cap that slipped into her eyes, a small, almost childish affectation that Cassara clocked immediately as armor, something familiar to hide behind. After joining the Hunters of Artemis, Bianca abandoned the cap, pulling her dark hair back into a practical braid reminiscent of Zoë Nightshade’s. Without the cap, she looked older, sharper, as if shedding it had been the first step in shedding her past. A light scatter of freckles crossed Bianca’s nose, softening her otherwise serious features, and when she smiled, rare, but real, she bore a striking resemblance to her mother, Maria di Angelo. It was the kind of resemblance that hurt to look at for too long.

Annabeth Chase - Leah Sava Jeffries
Annabeth is described to have tanned skin and a slender, athletic body. She has long honey-blond hair set in perfect princess curls, like Cinderella. Cassara said that she "looked like a typical California girl, except that her stormy grey eyes ruined the image." Annabeth often wears a ponytail, an orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, and often wears her magical Yankee cap during fights, since it turns her invisible. She also wears her father's college ring on a leather necklace with the clay beads that she earned every year at Camp Half-Blood. Because she came to camp at age 7, she would have 9 or 10 beads.

Luke Castellan - Charlie Bushnell
Luke is described as a tall, college-aged young man with an athletic, muscular build. He had short-cropped sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, a sharp nose, and the sneaky look like all Hermes demigod children. Many girls found him particularly attractive. The only thing unsettling about Luke's appearance was a thick, deep pale scar that ran from the bottom of his eye down to his chin caused by Ladon, the guardian dragon of the Garden of the Hesperides.

Ethan Nakamura - Kento Yamazaki
Ethan was a teenage boy of Japanese descent and looked to be around sixteen years old. He had a thin build, glossy black hair, and a black eye patch over his left eye.

Charles Beckendorf - Dallas Dupree Young
Beckendorf is described as a huge 18-year-old African-American "dude" with a permanent scowl, muscles like a pro ballplayer's, and hands "like catcher's mitts" which were calloused from working in the armory all day.

Chris Rodriguez - Logan Lerman
Chris is described as a big teenage boy with black hair and brown eyes. It is also likely he shares the sharp facial features of Hermes' other children.
