Chapter Text
You were so so late. Everything that morning had went down hill since the moment you woke up. Your stupid alarm decided to sleep through, messing up your schedule. Then you tried to make yourself some coffee only to find out you'd run out of milk. Then on your way to your usual cafeteria, you discovered the quickest route was blocked, making you have to give a big turn and go to a cafeteria you don't usually go.
Could this get any worse?
Apparently, yes.
You finally got your precious coffee and were on your way to work. You check the time and it looks like you can make it on time. Finally, luck was on your side.
Your smile disappears when you bump into someone and you are suddenly covered in coffee.
At least it wasn't hot coffee, you try to stay positive.
“Fucking perfect. The cherry on top for a fantastic day.”
The person you bumped into–a dark haired man–immediately starts apologizing. “I am so sorry, I wasn't looking, let me pay for your-” the word ‘laundry’ dies at the edge of his lips when he looks at you.
You are covered in his coffee, looking pissed and cursing under your breath. It’s also quite clear you didn't brush your hair and just picked it up without any cares. And despite all of it, he can’t help but find you extremely attractive. He straightens himself, attempting to look taller and more confident. “Let me pay it up to you. Perhaps inviting you to a coffee?”
You look up at him with a confused frown “It was your coffee the one that spilled” you point out.
He looks down and sees that it was in fact his coffee the one that spilled. “Right.” he shrugs his shoulders “Still. Let me invite you to coffee. Not now, you seem to be in a rush. Maybe later after school…? work..?” he tries to guess where you're headed.
“After work” you clarify.
He smiles widely “It's a date then”
“I never said yes”
“Then say it. Let me buy you a coffee to pay you back. Please?”
You bite the inside of your cheek, considering it "What's your name?”
He smiles “Jason. And you?”
“I'm not telling you my name, we just met”
He laughs “Well played. Let me invite you to coffee and then maybe, I'll earn your name?”
“You're very persistent, aren't you?” you try to stay in a bad mood but it's very hard when he keeps smiling like that.
Jason grins widely and you have to bite back your own smile at how contagious his smile is “Yes, ma'am”
You bite the inside of your cheek but he can still see you smile “After work you say?”
A triumphant smile crawls up his face and you swear he glows “What time do I pick you up?”
“Whoa, slow down, pretty boy,” Jason smiles wider at your nickname for him “I only agreed to a date. I'm not getting anywhere near your car.”
“So we meet here then? Around four in the afternoon?”
You bite your lip holding back a smile and nod “Alright. See you then, Jason. Don't you dare be late. And if you turn out to be a weirdo, know that I always carry pepper spray with me.”
“Wouldn't dream of it, ma'am. Also, noted.” he grins at you and starts walking away. With a chuckle you turn around considering getting another coffee, but you were already late for work so you dismissed the idea.
“Oh, by the way,” you turn your head towards the sound of Jason's voice. “It's not a car.” at the confusion on your face he chuckles and clarifies. “I have a bike, not a car. Maybe I'll take you for a ride on our second date.”
You scoff at that, crossing your arms. “What makes you think we are having a second date? Are you so sure of yourself?”
“That's up to you, love, and how badly you wanna ride my bike. I sure hope we have a second date, but I guess we'll have to wait ´till tomorrow to find out.”
“I guess so, yes” he smiles and winks before walking away.
Something tells you there's going to be a third date
