“Zavadeek klo eeja eh Chump!” Klaus heard her words on repeat. He wanted to let Gil keep speaking, but if he Knew for certain he wouldn't be able to do what must be done. Let them be angry. He'd said farewell.

His daughter said he always ran away. She was wrong.
His son said “Where are you going? You can't just run off.” He was wrong, too.

“Yes Okay Fine! But that doesn't mean you SHOULD!” His son's words would cut at his mind for the rest of his life.
It's not like that was going to be very long.
