Work Text:
You watch through the window as the snowflakes drift off the sky, glancing around the cabin, hints of the impact your presence made were there, christmas decorations were hanging on the walls and the fireplace too
Mychael was busying himself baking in the kitchen, you wanted to help but he remembered the last time he did let you help, the biscuits were burned to crisp, you giggled at the memory of Mychael’s surprised face, you get up, making your way towards Mychael and hugging him from behind
“Oh.. firefly, I-I just put them in the oven, do you need something?” Mychael said, his cheeks were dusted with blue, trying to act nonchalant as you embraced him
“Nah.. just cold, could you warm me up?” You said with a grin, wanting to see his cheeks even bluer because of you. Mychael’s body shivered at the idea, he turns your body towards yours, and wrap his arms around your waist
“These ugly sweaters aren’t warming you up?” He chuckled, and you smiled. “I mean, they just are itchy.. and I like your warmth more” You saw his pupils thin into slits, almost like a cat’s, his face was like a blueberry, you stifle your laugh, and fondle one of his ears, his face softened
“This feels nice, you know..?” He mumbled, his eyelids drooped “I’ve never spent this day like this, you’ve really changed my life” He paused, you felt his ears warming up, and you found yourself blushing too “I-I don’t want to let go”
“I don’t want to let go too” You whispered, leaning your head against his shoulder “You changed my life too, I can’t remember the last time I did this with someone”
You both swayed gently, either of you not wanting to ever pull away
