"MERLIN. SUSAN STOP IT ALREADY"
I screamed at my friend. I screamed so loud probably everyone in the Hogwarts Express could hear me. Susan kept bugging me over Neville Longbottom after all this time.
My friend Susan, a Hufflepuff thought I had a crush on Neville, a Gryffindor boy I help in his first year at Hogwarts. I was two years above him. I was just being kind when I helped him in potions. TWO YEARS AGO.
"If you had dated someone already I wouldn't think you looooooove him," Susan said sticking her tongue out as she knew it was a joke.
She knew it was a joke she just wanted to push me to my limits.
I know it's part of being friends but I hated it because she knew I like someone else.
Has we were still in the platform 9 3/4 he may arrive at any moment.
Susan sat down next to me before she was just dancing around.
"I'm sorry. I'll stop for real now...." she said trying to frown. She was happy all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. I have never seen her sad ever. The fact that she was trying so hard made me accept her apologies.
"You got really mad this time. I'm really sorry. But you know you have to tell-" Susan got up a went to check the doorway. Then she spoke lower "you have to tell Cedric you like him. You know he is affected by your 'ways' ...."
I spoke normally and annoyed "Oh ya but he probably will friendzone me or something. You know he has thousands of girls after him. He probably doesn't want a Hufflepuff either. Maybe some other girls have him already. I bet he started dating that stupid Cho in the summer and didn't tell us."
The door opened and I realized why Susan checked the doorway
"I know who's dating Cho."
Said a familiar voice.
It was Cedric obviously. His voice is unforgettable.
I completely ignore what he saying for I started getting lost in his grey eyes.
"Who is ?" Asked Susan. And I snap out of it blinking my eyes and shaking my had a little.
"The Potter boy is" sad Cedric sitting down and being serious but slightly playful about it.
"Oh... good. You good Ced? I'm good.
What did you do during the summer?" I said finally getting words out of my mouth. It was easier to write to handsome Digory then seen him and looking him in the eye.
I got lost in his eyes again as he turned to face me.
"Well for one I was really really busy being ignored by my friends," I said this with such a pain in his voice that I was ready to melt into tears.
"Well, you wanna know what?! We haven't received any from you either" Said Susan almost screaming in anger.
The room was filled with a heavy tension and all of us looked at each other with apologetic eyes.
Something was certainly off.
And it wasn't our fault.
We stood quietly until we arrived at Hogwarts.

The three of us got on Hogsmeade grounds and went in a boat together. Each looking into the lake.
Starting the year was never easy. I could only think about what trouble the Harry Potter boy would put us through next.
Most of us in Hufflepuff could see he wasn't really enjoying all the attention. All the second year girls were falling for Ron Weasely.
Yes, you read it right. We like the underdogs. Well... we had Cedric but none of the girls in Hufflepuff were falling for him as I was.
Every single badger in that castle knew I like Diggory except for the man in question. It was already an inside joke in our house. I heard that a few people from my year and above were planning on throwing a party if I ask Cedric out.
I finally shocked my thoughts and realized I was getting into the great hall once more.
"I missed this," said Susan in a nostalgic whisper
"Me too" spoke Cedric and me without realizing we were saying it at the same time.
We sat through the sorting ceremony. And ate like starving animals, only because we didn't have anything on the train.
After the fest, we heard the new inspirational speech Dumbledore had for us this year and clapped loudly.
We knew that the head girl or boy would have to take the first years to the common room and dormitories. This year was Susan turn.
"I can't believe she is our head girl. I'm so proud" I said watching Bones (her name is Susan's bones) take the first years through the door.
"She is the embodiment of a true heir of Helga if not Helga herself," said the tall grey-eyed boy. "It's a shame there are only 4 new Hufflepuff"
"Let's make them the best then," I said enthusiastically.
Right after saying this I started walking out the great and Cedric followed as did all the others students.
We finally reached the common room. I simply said good night to Cedric and all the other and went to the girl's dormitory.
I was amazed went I saw a pile of unopened letters in my bed. Could they all be for me? I don't have any fans...
All the letter seemed to be from Cedric and Susan. There was a little one with the school emblem on it was an apology letter. It appears they are confiscating every letter sent to students because the may have prank powders or deadly threats.
"Well, that's kind of a dumb reason to stop mail...." I said speaking to myself.
The door opened
"Stop mail ?!" Said Susan coming in "what?! Why would they do that" she said walking to her bed.
I pointed to the small letter in her bed and said "Beware of the prank powders" I made a voice like Filtch and laugh "Fletcher wants to make your head purple or something"
"Read your letters I want to hear your replies," Susan said giving me a look of 'I know this is mostly Diggory's '
