We are in the pool, and I see his head go under
Under intentionally
I'll drown he says
My baby brother says he'll drown
Because everything is worthless
And everyone hates him
Me and my cousin keep his head above water
And tell him it's ok
He's amazing
And loved
And the worst will be saved for later
But be a kid for now
And I can't help but think
As I make sure he goes on breathing
What did I do wrong?
