Can't Let Go Of My Grudge 'Til I Know You're Done

Summary:

From the outside looking in, it's clear to anyone who sees them that the Galarian Rapdisash Sasha and her human roommate Adam are moments away from either killing each other or falling in love with each other. When lines are crossed, hands are forced and backs are pushed against the wall, one of those two outcomes will come to be. It's just a matter of which. Long-form commission from an RL friend.

Chapter 1: You're The Reason Things Have To Change

Chapter Text

There were many good ways to wake up fresh from a day off, but the way that I had found myself this morning really felt like one of the best. I was in bed with a warm, comfortable form beside me, the two of us nuzzled up close. The heat between us was intense, shared between two naked bodies and inviting me in. I began to lazily kiss the figure’s neck, feeling her rouse awake and push her ass against my crotch.

“Morning, sweetie.” I whispered to her before she turned to face me. She was tall and muscular, her body slim and attractive- mostly pale in nature with a pair of white whiskers on her face that were matted from sleep. “Mmm… want some coffee or something?”

“No… nothing like that.” She whispered back, grinding her ass harder against my crotch. “I can think of something else I want, though…” We began to slowly kiss and make out, her hands wrapping around me while mine moved to grab and hold her smaller breasts in my hands. I kneaded her tits and began to pinch her nipples, getting a small yip of pleasure as her scarlet eyes opened wide.

“Starting as we did last night, huh?” She purred in my bed and I nodded. “Well… as long as you finish like you did last night, I won’t complain.” I was in bed with a Mienshao- her clothes from the night before strewn about and leading in a trail from the door to my room to my bed. My cock was erect and stiff, brought back to life by the feeling of her ass crushing against me to nurture my morning wood back to life.

“How do you want it?” I whispered and she giggled.

“You’re such a gentleman, letting me have my pick…” She purred. “You were good from behind. Why don’t you fuck me like that again?” I growled and nodded, stealing another kiss from her until she assumed the position. The Mienshao was on her hands and knees, a pretty purple pussy and a tight asshole now on full display alongside her skinny, purple-tipped tail. I got up on my knees and presented my cock to her, using two of my fingers to test her wetness. To my surprise, her lips gave way and parted to the digits; sloppily giving away just how soaked she already was. “Already?”

“Still, you asshole!” She smirked. “That’s just what you do to me.” I gave a prideful chuckle and removed my fingers, tasting her directly and licking my lips. “My pussy taste good?” I nodded.

“A perfect breakfast for me to indulge in. You have my thanks.” Mienshao giggled and I inserted my length inside of her. We both gave low groans and grunts of pleasure, gentle thrusts beginning to properly wake. “Oh, yeah. Fuck, you feel so good.”

“Mmm… your cock feels so good inside me. Oh, fuck…” Our moans were low and slow right now, my hands on her hips while I worked out a rhythm. “Yeah, that’s it. Yeah, come on, you big man. Fuck me real good…” I nodded and moved faster, pumping into her while she arched her back out. I leaned forward and kissed all along her bare back, her fur short and soft to my touch. With each thrust into her, I went harder and faster. It wasn’t long before the bed started to creak and the sun began to spill into my bedroom, though most of it was thankfully blocked by my blinds. The bed below us began to creak as we both got more and more into it. My lips trailed all along the neck of the Mienshao, hearing her moans become more and more intense and loud. “Yes! Yes, Adam, yes! Yes, fuck me, please!”

“Hell yeah, baby.” I whispered back to her amidst my own grunts and groans. “Take it. Take it like a filthy fucking slut.”

“I’m your filthy fucking slut, alright?” I nodded and we kissed, my thrusts into her becoming more intense and powerful. “Oh my god, fuck! Your cock is so fucking good!” I groaned out and railed further, spanking her ass once on each cheek. It was a beautiful way to wake up, which meant that the universe decided in an instant that there was no way to make it last.

The door to my room was flung open, revealing another woman at the other side of it. It took her a few moments to notice, but Mienshao suddenly gasped out and pulled away from me once she had. She ran to try and cover herself under the bed and left me stark naked in front of her. I locked eyes with the woman in my doorway and rolled my eyes.

“Do you fucking mind, Sasha?” I asked. “We were in the middle of something.” Sasha was my roommate- a Galarian Rapidash that was dressed casually in a simple white t-shirt and black hip-hugging jeans that stopped at her hooved feet. She had a look of visible displeasure on her face and I gave an irritated sigh. Well, that’s the end of that. Sasha gave a flip of her long, cyan and pink hair while her cyan eyes narrowed in frustration.

“Do you fucking mind?” She countered. “I have to be at work for half an hour, and-” It was then that Sasha locked eyes with the Mienshao and growled. “Who’s this girl- some new lady of the evening, Adam?” She spoke dismissively and disdainfully, staring the Mienshao down with a killing intent. “Whatever, just make sure she’s out of here by the time I get back.”

“The fuck does it matter to you? Can’t give a fucking guy a break these days, can you?” Seeing that the mood was now effectively killed between us, Sasha slammed the door to my room shut and I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “…Sorry about her. You can get out of here if you want. She’s like this all the time and I don’t blame you for not wanting to stick around while she is.” I sighed, dressing myself in a simple pair of relaxing shorts to cover myself knowing that once she was done with her shit, I would be back asleep.

“She’s not your…?” I shook my head.

“Just my roommate, and the biggest pain in my ass.” I muttered. “And co-worker, but that’s not relevant.” The Mienshao gave a nod before she finished dressing.

“I had a good time last night, Adam. I’ll call you?”

“Only if you want to, hon. No need to make this serious if you’re just looking for fun. The Mienshao giggled and we sealed our goodbye with a final, tender kiss on the lips. She then walked out of my room and out the door to our apartment.

Sasha had returned to the door to my room, now seeing that I was now wearing underwear and pants. “I thought we talked about this. Can you not bring your sluts here during the week?” She asked in anger. I ran my hand down my face. Here we go.

“For the record, she’s not a slut.” I began.

“Did you know her beforehand?” I shook my head. “Did she make you use protection?” Another shake of my head. “Do you intend on seeing her again?”

“Well…”

“S-L-U-T spells slut.” Sasha sighed, checking the watch on her wrist. “Look, I have to get to work, Adam. Are you going to be alright on your own?” I checked the clock on my phone and saw that it was 7:30. Sasha had to be at work in a half-hour, but it was a ten-minute walk in nice weather- she had plenty of time to ruin someone else’s day on the way there.

“I don’t work till 11 tonight. Do what you fucking want, I’m going back to bed.” Sasha said nothing and closed my door, letting me return to my sleepy bliss under the cover sans girl and with no orgasm.

This really needed to stop happening.

I awoke later in the afternoon; the proper time that I should be waking up at considering what my schedule was like. It would be a lie to call the sleep I had restful, but I still had plenty of time before I had to go in tonight.

Sasha and I both worked at the Department Store here in Lilycove- though Sasha was higher-up in finance while I was one of the many disposable cogs that stocked shelves, picked orders and did any other grunt work deemed necessary to keep things flowing and working. I originally worked the evening shift, but when overnight started fucking up on the regular and was hemorrhaging workers left and right, I got transferred because I was ‘one of the good ones’ and ‘the time change really didn’t matter’ at the end of the day.

“God, I cannot wait until this part of my life is over.” I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, seeing that it was now 3:30- late afternoon. Sleeping in this late and it be normal was still kind of fucked up, but when I didn’t start work for another seven and a half hours, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Normally, the nights that I worked put me on from 11PM to 7AM- I’d get back to the apartment around 7:15, chill and unwind before going to bed at 10 and usually waking up around 5PM where I’d chill for a little bit longer before doing it all again. It was routine, it was simple, and it made me want to walk into oncoming traffic every time I woke up.

“Sasha’s gonna be back anytime soon…” Sasha worked 8-4 like a ‘normal person’ would and usually had the decency to leave me alone in the overlap of when we were both in the apartment as long as I showed her the same courtesy. And when it came to someone like her, I normally wouldn’t think twice about getting in her way lest I feel her wrath.

It was at this point that my phone began to go off in my hand. And, upon seeing who was on the other line, I answered in an instant. “Hayden!”

“Shit, didn’t expect you to be up. Thought you’d be dead to the world for at least two more hours.” Hayden was one of the few people that made the overnights I worked not suck as much as they did.

“I could say the same for you, honestly.” I shot back. “What’s up? Why are you up this early?”

“Some shit happened and I’m not quite interested in talking about it now. You free before work for a bit? Let’s grab a coffee or something.”

“Not gonna say no to that. Just shoot me a place and time and I’ll be there.”

“Killer.” Hayden hung up, his voice rough and gravelly this early. I began to get dressed for the day, opting to shower once it got closer to actually having to go to work. After I had swapped my attire into something more presentable, I got the message from him telling me where to go and that he’d be there in about twenty minutes. It’d take me about fifteen to get there, so there was no harm in leaving early now.

As I was halfway towards the door, I heard the sound of keys in the lock before Sasha had made her appearance known. The casual outfit she wore from before was gone- replaced with an obsidian-black button-up blouse and a slim-fitting black pencil skirt. Her hooved feet were adorned with custom high-heels, Sasha standing taller than me only with those heels.

“Adam.” She greeted with that familiar layer of ice in her words.

“Sasha.” I grabbed my beat-up grey backpack from the wall and donned it. I was dressed rather casually in faded black jeans, an unzipped grey hoodie with a red t-shirt underneath and a pair of black and grey running shoes.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“Out.” I muttered. “I’ll be back before I have to go to work.” Sasha gave a grunt and I closed the door behind me. I sighed in exhaustion. Every interaction with that woman seemed to take additional hours off my life, the way she made my blood boil. I said nothing and began to walk along, far away from here and onto a nice afternoon.

Hayden was a big guy that was really easy to spot. Then again, most Machokes like him were very easy to spot.

“Adam! Took the liberty of ordering for you.” He called out as I entered the café. If we didn’t have to work tonight, I’m sure he would’ve chosen a spot where we could drink all day and not have to worry about the consequences. But, alas, we had found ourselves in a quiet, cozier café that had a few spots taken, but was fairly quiet as well.

“Big man.” I gave a warm greeting. Hayden got up and we went in for a dap, Hayden having to hold his strength back so he didn’t crush my shoulder or back. “What’s good, man? What’s going on?” Hayden sat back down in the spot across from me, fiddling with the drawstrings of the grey hoodie he had on.

“Well…” He began before I gave him a look with an eyebrow raised.

“You quitting?” I asked and he nodded. In an instant, I sighed and ran my hand down my face. “Fucking damn it. This is gonna suck without you, boss. What happened?” As those words left my mouth, a small, porcelain mug of black coffee had been placed in front of me. I gave my thanks to the server and sipped from the piping-hot beverage. Strong and bitter- just like someone else I knew.

“Look, this wasn’t an easy decision to make.” He replied. “You’re a good guy, and the work itself is probably some of the easiest shit I’ve had to do.” The eyebrow that I had raised only climbed further up my head.

“So, what’s the issue? What caused you to walk away from this?” It was then that Hayden began to scroll through his phone before pulling out a picture of a woman I had never seen before. A human woman I had never seen before. She was slim and stunning, golden blonde hair that cascaded down to her neck. Bright, ice-blue eyes hidden behind a pair of glasses and a simple, stainless-steel ring dangled from her septum.

“Damn.” I remarked. “She yours?”

“She’s gonna be.” He replied. “But… that kind of shit isn’t really accepted here. We’re gonna move to Paldea.”

“Paldea!?” I had to clench my hand into a fist to avoid shouting in distress and catching a few stray looks from the others here. “That shithole!?”

“They’re okay with us there.” Hayden spoke as clear as day and it suddenly all made sense. “Humans and Pokemon getting together… there’s no taboo with it like there is here.” I slumped forward, head resting in my palm and elbow firmly on the table. Hayden was right- most cases humans and Pokemon were business colleagues or friends at best, some even going so far as for one-night stands. But romance and marriage were almost always off the table. Some spots were more lenient than others, but we were not in one of those spots.

“…Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.” I remarked, sipping my coffee and sighing. “How come this is the first I’m hearing of her?” Hayden’s expression turned serious and he gave a look around.

“You’re the first person I’m telling. We wanted to keep this super-secret since we didn’t know who to trust.” I mean, it was fair. The last thing they wanted was for the wrong person to hear and it all gets to shit. “I’m telling work I’m quitting tonight when I go in and not telling them anything except that I’m relocating.”

“Well… it’ll suck to see you go, but it’s good to see you move on. This kind of shit can really drain the life out of you.” Hayden gave a nod before his eyes met mine.

“What are you gonna do?” He asked me. I shrugged.

“Iunno- same shit I always do. Keep working, keep dealing with Sasha, I guess.” Hayden snickered. “What?”

“I don’t know how you live with her. You two constantly are at each other’s throats.” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t remind me.” I muttered. The coffee that was placed in front of me was nice and soothing, bitter and full of caffeine to keep me going. “But the amount that I save by living with her and needing only basic necessities will be enough for me to get out of here eventually.” Hayden narrowed his eyes at me.

“How long have you been saying that for?” A knife through the chest, right between my ribs. A sense of denial began to creep within me and I looked away with frustration.

“…Year and a half. Since, you know.” Hayden laughed and I sighed, slumping forward in my seat. “Yeah, this shit is beyond brutal. At this point, I’d take a lifeline of any kind to get me out of this.”

“You know, if I was a psychic-type, I’d believe that your issues with Sasha stem from-”

“If you’re about to say that my issues with Sasha stem from her, the only way you’re getting to Paldea is in a fucking body bag.” It was a mostly empty threat, but one that at least got a smile and a few laughs out of him.

“…I’m gonna miss you, dude.”

“I’m gonna miss you, man! This sucks so much.” The Machoke’s smirk widened, elbows placed on the surface of the table and his fingers tented under the bridge of his nose. “…What?”

“Devin’s looking for a roommate, since I’m leaving.” I narrowed my eyes at him. Devin was one of the guys who worked the evening shift; a friend of Hayden’s and a decent acquaintance of mine. Devin was also a Morgrem, but that was neither here nor there. “You’d be away from Sasha’s iron fist but you’d still be close to work and Devin’s quiet enough. Plus, being on the different schedules would mean that you two would barely see each other, if at all.”

It was a temping offer. There was going to be overlap with the time that we had, but 3-11 was more tolerable than 8-4. “That is… rather convenient.”

“Let it never be said that I didn’t do anything for you ever while I was here.” I narrowed my eyes at him. “I’ll talk to him when I get back and have him message you about it. If the price is right…”

Any price is right.” I insisted. “…Well, as long as it’s not more than what I’m paying already.” The backpedal was necessary, but Hayden didn’t seem to give it much mind. He sipped from his own coffee and I remained stoic, watching him with disinterest. “Then again, considering I’d be finally rid of Sasha…”

“You seem extra bitter about her today. Did something happen with you two?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Well, for one, she kicked the Mienshao I had brought home before I could go for round two.” Hayden sighed. “Aside from that, just the usual. If I could sum it up in a word- stifling. Something about her just draws all the fun in a room and snuffs it out. She’s all-business all the time and I can’t stand her.” I didn’t have to look past the dirty glares and stray looks of disgust that was enough evidence for me to prove that Sasha hated me just as I did her, and I’m sure if she were asked to elaborate on it, she could teach an entire lecture on our mutual hatred. “Never once have I felt that I can be me under that roof.”

Hayden gave me a side eye and my glare narrowed at him. “…” He wanted to say something. He so wanted to say something that he knew would piss me off. If he wasn’t capable of wringing my neck with ease, I would wring his.

“What?” I spoke firmly.

“Nothing. Don’t worry about it.” You bastard.

“Hayden.” I growled. “Hayden, don’t you do this to me right before you fucking leave.”

“…You know all of overnights has bets on you two fucking, right?” Figured as much. I stifled my rage down with more coffee, setting my mug gently back down and staring at Hayden with the most neutral and calm expression I could muster.

“I would never do that with her.” I mused. “Not because she’s a Pokemon, before you insist.  I would simply never dare sharing a bed with any woman like her- human or Pokemon.” That sly and wry stare of his returned, it being so obvious on his face that he didn’t believe me at all. “Eat many dicks and choke on each one.”

“Adam and Sasha, sitting in a tree…”

Suddenly, I was glad this fucker was leaving.

Hayden and I chilled in the café for about two hours in total. We talked about his girl, the big decision to move to Paldea within a month’s time, how he was going to miss Lilycove (but not miss work) and a few other subjects.

When it was time to go, Hayden and I went for another hug. He was probably the only lifeline that kept me going throughout all this shit with work and Sasha, and it was something he needed to know. It was going to be tough without him around after these next two weeks… but I wasn’t going to hold that against him.

I walked back to the apartment and entered it. Sasha was in the progress of getting dinner ready for herself, barely looking up at my return. It smelt like some kind of pasta dish, but I didn’t quite care too much. She didn’t say anything at my arrival, and I didn’t either. Unless one of us wanted something from the other, the apartment was deathly quiet.

I left the main area and went into my room, sitting in my old, beat-up office chair. My room itself was sparse; with Sasha having been here first, most of this stuff was either left behind by her previous Venomoth roommate or hers to begin with. I had very little to my name that I could comfortably say was mine, which I think would certainly make the move easier.

Devin and I had been messaging back and forth. Tomorrow when I was done work in the morning, I’d go to see his apartment and the space I would be working with. After calculating my half of rent and utilities, it would be comparable to what I was paying now give or take a little bit. It would be nice to be free of here- to be free of Sasha. We never saw each other at work, since I started when she was going to bed and I was long gone before she arrived. I intended to keep it that way if I moved in with Devin.

There was a knock on my door and I looked at it. “What?” I asked, the door opening to reveal Sasha on the other side.

“I left a few things in my office at work. Can you go and get them for me when you’re done in the morning?”

“No.” I bluntly replied. “I have things to do after work tonight.” Sasha’s eyes narrowed.

“Like what?” Her reply was curt and frustrated.

“Looking at an apartment.” Sasha went silent and her eyes narrowed at me. I expected some kind of reaction from her. Perhaps she would be angry, perhaps she would be happy. Any kind of reaction to a revelation like that would hopefully justify this decision in my mind. Instead, I got a shrug and a turn on her heel.

“Understood. You were never planning on staying here forever. I’ll have someone else do it.” She didn’t care. She was so indifferent and so apathetic towards it, despite having shared this space for almost two years together. We weren’t close by any means- closer to punching each other more like it, but that was all I got?

…Huh. I guess that was going to make things all the easier. There wouldn’t need to be any hesitation in this now.

Devin and I continued to message- working out the finer print of our exchange. With it being the middle of the month, it would have to take some time before anything could be ironed out. There was so little in this room of mine, it wouldn’t be worth moving anything over there now. I sighed and walked out of my room into the apartment’s main area, seeing that Sasha was busying herself with reading while she ate.

“If you’re looking for leftovers, there aren’t any.” She began. “I made this just for myself, since I didn’t know when you would be back.” I gave a shrug and walked towards the fridge, pulling out a thin, yet tall can of an energy drink and cracking it open. Figures as much.

“Whatever.” I countered, taking the first, ice-cold preliminary sip of the drink. “I’m not hungry.”

“Where’s the apartment you’re going to look at?” I narrowed my eyes. This was perhaps the first time she seemed genuinely interested in what was going on in my life and in no way did I like it.

“Why do you care? I snipped back. “Where I go is none of your business after all of this is said and done.” I could hear the narrowing of Sasha’s eyes from her, her lips curling into a stoic, stony frown.

“Forgive me for wanting to take an interest in your life.”

“I’ve been here almost two years now, Sasha. You haven’t done it before; you might as well not bother now.” I heard the telltale sound of a bowl being set on the counter and a book being slammed shut, alongside the gentle steps of Sasha walking towards me and getting in my face.

“What’s with the attitude, Adam?”

“Fuck off, Sasha.” I growled. “I’m not in the mood to deal with your shit- not when I still have to work.”

“Is this about that Mienshao from this morning?” I said nothing and her frown turned into a smile. A sadistic, wide smile that went from ear to ear. “Oh… I see. You’re mad because I told you not to bring your sluts here anymore.”

“Why, you fucking jealous?” I snapped back. The only time this apartment had any real noise was when one of us was gone and we could be free to be ourselves, or we were fighting just like this. “Is someone acting out because she couldn’t get anyone to sleep with her if she was the last woman alive?” Sasha exhaled air through her nose and I suddenly felt a pair of hands on my shirt- gripping tightly.

“I am not some kind of lowly, needy, pathetic animal that would allow my baser desires control my entire being!” She snapped back. “I do not need one-night stands with strange sluts and never see them again.”

“Oh, so you think you’re better than me!?” I snapped and she nodded. “Yeah!? Little Miss Rapidash who walks with her chin held up and above everyone lower than her?”

“You are truly reprehensible. But I suppose that’s why you collect those sluts of yours- garbage does attract the other garbage around it.”

“I cannot wait until I get to fucking leave. Two years under your reign should be grounds for refugee status.”

“You think it’s better out there without me!?” Sasha suddenly snapped. “You are allowed a certain quality of life here, and I will not-” I gave a dark and hollow laugh.

“What fucking quality!?” I shot back. “Prisoners live better than I do!” Sasha growled.

“You know what!? I’m glad you want to leave. I want you to leave! It’ll almost make it up for me taking on this burden when you weighed your whore mother down into an early grave!” The moment those words were spoken, Sasha went silent and covered her mouth with a hand. She knew instantly that what she had said had crossed a line.

That was real. Every argument we ever had, there was always a little hint that the words we said weren’t fully how we felt- they were just exaggerations meant to wound and draw emotional blood although they never did. But that… there was too much feeling behind that one. That was how she truly felt, all this time. She stepped away from me as there was a loud knock at our door- probably one of the neighbours telling us to keep quiet.

I looked down at my hands, one of them trembling despite me throwing back a heavy sip of the energy drink to try and calm myself down. It was ironic for me to be doing that to try and fix trembling hands with taurine and other supplements, but this was all I had.

“…Yes.” Sasha had opened the door and was apologizing already. “I’m sorry, ma’am. It wasn’t my intention to-”

“Adam.” I heard a voice perk up and saw that the woman on the other end had a small smile on her face.  “Hey. Wanna go to the-”

“You bet I fucking do.” I growled, walking past Sasha. “Get out of my fucking way.” Sasha said nothing, looking down at the floor with her eyes downcast. I had grabbed a black mesh bag hanging from the inside of my room and stared at the woman on the other side. She was a short and slim girl with brown skin, long brown ears that had white trim along the edges. She had warm, inviting pink eyes and was dressed in a black sports bra that accentuated her cleavage and black, hip-hugging dolphin shorts that met into black, torn-up thigh-highs.

“Court.” I spoke, my own gym bag on my shoulders. The Lopunny gave me a smile as I put my shoes on. “You’re already dressed. Let’s go.”

Courtney and I left the apartment, and Sasha behind with ease.
