Chapter Text
Killua slowly opened his eyes, feeling droplets of water crashing onto his pale face. He felt numb and cold, as well as confused. He didn’t know where he was and he couldn’t quite remember how he got there.
He grunted as he tried to force his body to sit up, but he soon realized that wasn’t going to happen. Contrasting the cold that was overtaking his small frame, he felt a warmth drenching his back. He soon realized it was his own blood pooling from his injuries of unknown origin. After focusing, he deduced that he had several broken ribs, a stab wound that entered his stomach and exited clean through around his lower back, multiple other punctures, and probably a concussion.
Slowly he felt his remaining strength, as well as the consciousness he only recently regained, was slowly fading away.
Am I seriously going to die here? But I need to save Alluka… Save her? Suddenly memories began flooding his mind. He felt dizzy despite laying down, and he also felt like he was going to throw up.
Killua was spent, he was injured and his body was screaming at him to give up. Somehow, after deciding to go meet up with Gon after he got his Nen back, Illlumi had found them. He was done playing tag and he brought with him a horde or needle people, and Hisoka? Maybe they thought they had already met up. Gon. Well too bad for them.
Killua tried to run away, but when he wasn’t being swarmed by needle people he was being attacked by Illumi and Hisoka. It was too much to fight all of them, run away, and protect Alluka all at once. They were overwhelming him, he couldn’t keep up. Illumi blew out his knee and then landed on him.
That’s when he threw Alluka far away from him hoping she wouldn’t get injured. Hoping she would get the message to run he turned to force Illumi away from him.
“Did you really think you could save him? You’re far too weak.” Illumi concurred.
That’s when Killua saw Alluka was about to be attacked! But she didn’t look scared, instead Nanika appeared, but only partially. Half of her face was still Alluka. And then Killua got a sinking feeling down in his gut.
“Alluka don’t do this!” He screamed, but deep down he already knew it was too late. Alluka looked at him with sorry eyes, before she smiled. Illumi had him pinned down and his needle people were about to steal Alluka.
“Nanika, I want you to take Killua to a place far far away from our family, where they can never find him.”
Illumi released his grip and Killua and dashed towards Alluka, unbelief washed on his face. Killua felt himself slipping away as a portal opened up beneath him dragging him down.
“NOO!” He screamed, but there was nothing he could do. Alluka made a wish and sacrificed herself. A wish like this would end in her death.
Killua watched Alluka slowly fade away, he saw Illumi’s anger and bloodlust seeping out uncontrollably, and he saw a single tear fall from her cheek before she disappeared completely. There was no trace of a body, it was like she never existed.
Then everything went black.
“Alluka.” A sob escaped Killua's lips, the pain was making his mind fuzzy. He tried to get up but his limbs just wouldn’t cooperate. The tears began to mix with the rain. His body wanted nothing more than to sleep but he forced himself to stay awake.
Suddenly hurried footsteps rushed towards him, Killua looked in the direction of where they were coming from. He couldn’t see very well because his vision was still blurry but from what he could see it was someone wearing green clothes.
Yes it was Gon! Gon came to help him!
He let a small smile creep on his face. Gon would explain everything, he would help him get Alluka back, if Gon is here it means her wish didn’t work and she’s not actually dead!
“Gon…” Killua gasped, he couldn’t gain any more energy to say any more. He felt himself passing out, he was losing the little control he had left.
“Ar-..-u.. kay? Don’t….-ry…I’ll…-elp!” Gon said. Strange he didn’t really sound like Gon, but Killua was still out of it.
He felt pressure being put on his wound and it looked like Gon was calling someone. Killua felt relief wash over him, and he closed his eyes. He would recover and then save his sister.
He knew it.
