Chapter Text
Present
“Tell me, Dohoon-ah.”
Dohoon finally looked up to meet his eyes after spending a solid 10 minutes staring at his lukewarm americano. The guy in front of him, only two years older than him, had already finished more than half of his iced caramel latte, stirring his straw lazily while waiting for him to respond.
Unlike any other day, the cafe was empty. Dohoon questioned himself why he chose that cafe out of a gazillion cafes out there to meet Junghwan–a place that held a lot of memories of a certain person he hadn’t seen in two weeks, two weeks that already felt like forever to him. Surge of moments from the past few weeks came back to haunt him, tasting as bitter as his coffee.
“It’s a long story, hyung,” Dohoon’s tsunami of thoughts came out short, slowly coming to a realization that this plan might be ridiculous to begin with. “I don’t even know where to start.”
But Dohoon needed this. He had been keeping it to himself for so long that it was driving him crazy. He needed someone, anyone, who would listen. He realized he needed a solution before it’s too late.
Before he lost the person he loved.
“Well, start somewhere,” Junghwan leaned back to make himself comfortable, knowing it was going to be one hell of a story. “I have all day.”
Dohoon sighed.
“Okay, I’ll start by how I met Choi Youngjae.”
