I Will Pierce Through Your Heart's Wall and Grow

Summary:

Yoongi couldn't believe he was missing boiled-pork day for this.

Or the one where Hoseok blackmails Yoongi into teaching him how to get his crush to like him.

Notes:

I wrote most of this on my phone at 2 in the morning, so please understand if it sucks.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Yoongi really wasn't sure why he had agreed to do this.

"Why did I agree to do this?" Yoongi voiced his thoughts, scratching the back of his head in wonder as the younger male in front of him continued to fiddle with the strap of his green backpack.

"Because you're a really generous Sunbae?" Hoseok answered, adjusting his thin-framed glasses further up his straight nose.

"Um, try again," Yoongi replied, rolling his eyes as he continued to wait for the younger male to get to the point. Yoongi was skipping lunch for this!

"Because you have a heart of gold, and you are very willing to help a young, socially awkward teen?" Hoseok tried again, giving Yoongi a sheepish grin.

"Nope," Yoongi replied, "definitely not that one." Yoongi resisted the urge to roll his eyes again as Hoseok ducked his head to avoid looking Yoongi in the eye.

"Because I have a very incriminating video of you dancing along to a Twice song," Hoseok stated, bringing up his cellphone as if that would somehow show Yoongi proof of the video's existence.

"So?" Yoongi scoffed, leaning against the murky green bathroom door behind him. "You really think I give a shit what people say about me?" Yoongi challenged, a smirk appearing on his face.

"The people at school? No." Hoseok mocked. "The people at your freestyle rap battles? Probably."

Yoongi resisted the urge to punch the little shit in the face as he sent Yoongi a smirk of his own.

"How do you even have that video?" Yoongi demanded, remembering back to last weekend when Seokjin and Namjoon had slept over. It had been a stupid dare, but of course, Yoongi had done it. He had milked that stupid Twice song for all that it was worth, right down to the ridiculous 'shy, shy, shy' part of the song. Yoongi had even rolled his t-shirt up in the middle so it appeared like he was wearing a bra.

Yoongi knew that moment would come back to haunt him one day. He just didn't know it would happen the very next week because of some twerpy little sophomore.

"What. Do. You. Want?" Yoongi asked between clenched teeth.

"I want you to teach me how to get a boy to like me," Hoseok stated simply, completely unashamed of asking a complete stranger, an older one at that, to teach him about relationships.

"What?" Yoongi replied after a while. Almost completely sure he had misunderstood the younger boy.

"Do you really need me to repeat myself?" Hoseok asked, raising both eyebrows in question.

Yoongi paused for a moment, almost impressed at how completely unafraid the sophomore seemed to be of him.

"You know I could just beat the shit out of you and take the phone, right?" Yoongi's smirk returned when the younger male visibly paled at his threat.

"Y-You could." Hoseok nodded, once again avoiding Yoongi's gaze. "However, if you really think the only copy I have of the video is on my phone then you're sadly mistaken."

Yoongi's smirk disappeared at the latter's threat.

"So what? Are you really going to blackmail me into getting some loser to like you? Why not just ask one of your friends? You know, people you actually talk to." Yoongi was growing tired of this cat and mouse game. He was already angry that he was being forced to miss boiled-pork day for this mess.

"Well, you're the only other person I know of at this school who's come out," Hoseok replied shyly, fisting the ends of his school uniform shirt in his hands.

Yoongi almost felt sorry for the kid when he heard his mumbled reply. This was Korea, after all, and while people were starting to become a bit more open-minded every day, there were still a lot of people who were afraid to come out for fear of being ostracized. Truthfully, the only reason Yoongi had come out was because he was tired of the little freshman girls following him around and confessing to him every other week. That and Yoongi really didn't give a flying fuck what anyone said about him.

Yoongi sighed, running a hand through his messy bleached hair. Was he really going to do this?

"Okay," Yoongi started, pushing himself off the dirty bathroom door to look at the sophomore directly in the eye. "Say I agree to help you. When are you going to delete the video? How do I know you won't just bring it back out the next time you want something from me?" Yoongi wasn't an idiot. If this kid really did have multiple copies of the video there was no guarantee he wouldn't use the video against Yoongi some other time.

"I promise, Hyung. I will delete all evidence I have of the video and never bring it back up again. If I do, you are more than welcome to rearrange my face."

Yoongi didn't really want to believe the kid, but he really didn't have any other choice by that point.

"Fine," Yoongi bit out, reaching a hand out for the younger male to shake. Hoseok seemed a little apprehensive, but he eventually did take Yoongi's hand in his own.

"Thank you so much, Yoongi hyung," Hoseok smiled, braces appearing from behind his lips. The younger male was just about to drop Yoongi's hand until the older male pulled him harshly by the arm, leaning forward so his lips hovered right next to Hoseok's ear.

"Just know that if you double-cross me. I'll hospitalize you," Yoongi whispered, his voice taking on a dangerous tone. "Understood?" Yoongi asked, waiting until Hoseok nodded his head quickly before picking up his backpack from where he had set it on the bathroom counter.

"Great," Yoongi smiled, patting the frightened looking teen on the shoulder on his way out of the bathroom. "We start today. Meet me at the front of the school entryway after the final bell, araso?" Yoongi didn't wait for a reply as he quickly escaped the bathroom. If he hurried maybe he could make it to the cafeteria in time to steal some of Namjoon's pork.

Yoongi tossed his backpack on the other side of his bed as soon as he'd walked into his bedroom that afternoon, almost completely ignoring the quiet teen who slipped into the room behind him.

"Ya!" Yoongi called, startling Hoseok who had been busy looking at the impressive recording area Yoongi had managed to collect after many summers of working odd jobs.

"Yes?" Hoseok asked, pushing his glasses up his nose again, in what Yoongi could only guess, was a nervous habit.

"Don't just stand there like a noob. Sit down." Yoongi resisted the urge to laugh when Hoseok immediately dropped down to the floor, crossing his legs Indian style before he looked back up at Yoongi with an expectant look.

"I actually meant on the bed," Yoongi stated, that time unable to hide his chuckles. Yoongi only laughed louder when he noticed how red the younger boy had turned.

"So what now?" Hoseok asked, peeking up at Yoongi from behind his glasses.

"I don't know. You're the one that asked me to do this. What do you want to learn, exactly?" Yoongi didn't know the first thing about getting people to like him, so he was almost certain he wasn't going to be much help, anyway.

"Um. I don't really know," Hoseok replied, scratching the back of his head in question.

"Seriously? You went through all this trouble to blackmail me and you don't even have an idea about what you want me to teach you?" Yoongi wanted to rip his hair out at the clueless kid's stupidity.

"I honestly didn't think I'd get this far," Hoseok shrugged.

"Little fu- fine!" Yoongi grumbled, turning his wooden desk chair around so he could stratal it. "Tell me about this dude you want me to get for you? Is he kinda dweeby like you are? Or..."

Yoongi almost laughed as the pink color returned to the younger male's face. It was almost fun to tease him.

"Are you going to help me, or are you just going to make fun of me all day?" Hoseok spoke up, rolling his eyes from behind his glasses.

"Okay, I'll stop," Yoongi grinned, letting out one final chuckle before he fixed his usual indifferent look on his face again.

"So?" Hoseok asked, pulling his feet up from under him so that he was sitting Indian style on Yoongi's bed, now.

"I don't know, kid. Tell me more about this one boy you like. What are his interests? What do you guys have in common? Maybe if we start with what you two have in common it'll be easier to find ways to get him to like you." Yoongi nodded at his own advice, completely convinced with his own logic.

"Um, well..." Hoseok ducked his head, turning so that he wasn't even looking in Yoongi's direction anymore. He looked around the room twice, seemingly avoiding the question.

Yoongi sighed, almost afraid to even ask. "Please tell me you actually know him." Yoongi almost pleaded.

"Well..." Hoseok trailed off, still looking at a spot on Yoongi's wall instead of at Yoongi. "What do you mean by know?"

Yoongi wanted to scream. This kid had to be kidding him.

"You're kidding, right? Dude, how can you want someone you've never even talked to to like you back? Is he even into dudes?" Yoongi shouted, unable to keep himself from blowing up.

"Yes, he's into dudes! I'm not that dumb," Hoseok replied, finally looking at Yoongi.

Yoongi could have continued to shout, but the kid was seriously starting to look like a kicked puppy, and what kind of monster kicked a puppy? Even a metaphorical one.

"Do you know something about him? Anything?" Yoongi asked, leaning his body weight forward on the back of the chair.

"I know he has a really sweet smile," Hoseok giggled, blush setting his face on fire.

"Yeah, no," Yoongi replied, lifting both his arms in front of himself and forming an 'X'. "You are not going to talk to me about how dreamy you think this guy is." Yoongi wanted to barf just thinking about him and Hoseok sitting back on Yoongi's bed gossiping about cute boys. This was not some cheesy drama.

"Sorry," the sophomore looked down at his lap, once again looking like a puppy who had just been scolded by his master.

“What do you know about being in a relationship?” Yoongi asked, trying to approach the problem from a different angle.

“Nothing?” Hoseok replied, stating his answer in the form of a question.

“Do you, or don’t you?” Yoongi asked, rolling his eyes at Hoseok’s lack of helpful answers.

“I only know what I’ve seen on TV,” breathed Hoseok, grinning sheepishly so his braces could be seen peeking out from behind his full lips.

“I think the first lesson here has to be that relationships are not like they are on TV.” Yoongi really didn’t know much about relationships himself, but he knew enough to know guys never really acted like they did in dramas. “Guys are little bitches, you and I know this better than anyone because we’re both dudes.”

Hoseok looked like he wanted to protest, but Yoongi kept talking to prevent the younger from butting in.

“Guys aren’t going to be all romantic with you. Don’t think being gay automatically makes you some sort of softy. Just take me, for example.”

Yoongi knew that he wasn’t the biggest or even the most intimidating guy on the planet. He was small with narrow shoulders and porcelain skin. On top of all of that he was gay, so Yoongi knew the only way he would be able to survive until graduation would be to toughen up.

“In many ways, gay guys can be even harder to approach because a lot of the time, they don’t know when someone is actually being real with them or just making fun of them.” Yoongi knew this to be true more than anyone.

“I get that,” Hoseok explained, playing with the end of his uniform tie. “I know the guy I like might not even like me back, even after your help, but I guess I just wanted to give it a shot. I’ve liked him since my freshman year, so…”

Yoongi looked up at his ceiling, resisting the urge to grab the kid in a hug. Even though Yoongi wasn’t exactly the most emotional guy on the planet, he could still feel sympathy, and this kid was really starting to get to him.

“So can I know the name of this kid, or…” Yoongi trailed off, not even surprised when Hoseok quickly shook his head no. “It’s a big secret, huh?”

Hoseok nodded, scrunching his school tie in between his hands out of nervousness.

“I’m not really sure where to go from here, to be honest,” Yoongi mumbled, running a hand through his messy blonde hair in agitation.

There was a long pause in which neither boy said a thing. It was extremely awkward and Yoongi almost felt like his stomach was eating itself. What? He had skipped pork day at school.

“Could you maybe,” Hoseok spoke up, “could you teach me how to be in a relationship?” Hoseok asked, running a hand through his own black hair.

“Come again,” Yoongi replied, still unable to understand why this kid thought Yoongi was some sort of relationship guru.

“Well,” Hoseok began, looking up at Yoongi through his glasses, “if you could teach me how to be in a relationship maybe I could become a little less awkward around my crush.”

Yoongi couldn’t really understand that logic.

“How would that work? I’m not exactly an expert at relationships.” By not exactly an expert, Yoongi meant he had zero experience. He had gone on a few dates before, but Yoongi had never actually had a boyfriend.

“But you still know more than I do,” Hoseok stated, bouncing on Yoongi’s bed slightly in excitement.

“Not by much,” Yoongi admitted, loosening his school tie from around his neck.

“You could still help!” Hoseok all but shouted, looking up at Yoongi with an almost frantic expression.

“Dude, chill,” Yoongi almost laughed, “I said I would help you and I will.”

Hoseok nodded, settling back in his seat on Yoongi’s bed.

“I have a question, though. When you say awkward, how awkward are we talking here?”

Yoongi almost wishes that he wouldn’t have asked.

“Dude, my hand isn’t going to bite you. Just grab it,” Yoongi was trying his best not to get too frustrated with the kid, but this was already their third lesson and Hoseok was still so awkward it was almost painful.

“R-Right. Of course. No problem,” replied Hoseok, wiping the palm of his hand on the side of his uniform slacks in a futile attempt at getting them to stop sweating.

“Just grab my hand!”

Yoongi jerked forward when instead of grabbing his hand, Hoseok swatted his hand backward and slapped Yoongi in the eye.

“Mother- my fucking eye!” Yoongi shouted, bringing his hand up to shield his face from the boy beside him who was now starting to flail like a fish out of water.

“I’m so sorry, Yoongi hyung,” Hoseok panicked, turning his body around to fully face the injured blonde only to accidently knee Yoongi in the side.

“Holy- fucking shit, my side.”

“Sorry! Let me just…” Hoseok leaned forward trying to take a closer look at Yoongi’s eye but he somehow lost his balance and ended up falling all over the older male.

“What the fuck!” Yoongi shouted, the weight of the younger boy on top of him crushing him into the comforter of his bed.

“I’m sorry, let me just-"

“Stop! Just stop moving,” Yoongi hollered, grabbing the squirming boy by the hips so he could stop the kid from injuring him any further.

Hoseok looked down at Yoongi from his spot on top of him, his glasses a little askew, and his hair a frantic mess from all the flailing he had been doing earlier.

The two teens laid like that on Yoongi’s bed for a small while. Yoongi leaning back into the mattress willing the pain in his eye and side to go away, while Hoseok laid on top of him, unsure of what to do with his hands which were laying limp at his sides.

“You can’t keep freaking out over the simplest touch,” Yoongi spoke up, opening his eyes so that he could look into the dark eyes of the boy who was currently laying on top of him. “If this guy ends of liking you back he is going to want to hold your hand, or give you hugs.” Yoongi smiled when Hoseok immediately turned red simply at the idea.

“W-What if he wants to do other things?” Hoseok asked, face turning so red Yoongi was afraid he would literally explode from all the pressure.

Yoongi took Hoseok’s question into consideration. Of course, the guy was going to want to do other things. Most guys, no matter their sexual orientation, wanted to do ‘other things’ with their significant other. It was a valid question, but Yoongi wasn’t exactly sure why the idea of Hoseok doing these ‘other things’ didn’t sit right in his gut.

“Not until marriage,” Yoongi quickly replied.

“But-"

“Okay, time to get up kid. You may be skinny, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t heavy.” Yoongi gave Hoseok’s bum a quick pat which caused Hoseok to startle and fall sideways off Yoongi’s bed.

Yoongi laughed for what felt like hours at the younger’s misfortune.

“See, this wasn’t so hard, was it?” Yoongi asked, the corners of his mouth threatening to lift up into a smile when Hoseok replied with nothing but a pout.

The two teens were currently settled in the movie theater, Yoongi’s arm thrown around the younger’s shoulders as they waited for the movie to start.

Yoongi had wanted to see the latest scary movie in theaters, but somehow Hoseok had convinced him to watch some animated children’s movie instead because he was far too afraid to watch the scary movie. Truthfully, it hadn’t taken much convincing on the younger’s part for Yoongi to agree to give him his way.

“I’m proud of you for not injuring me this time,” Yoongi whispered, getting an eye roll from Hoseok in reply.

“Whatever, Hyung. You know I don’t freak out as much when it comes to skinship anymore,” Hoseok spoke, head turned so that he was facing the movie screen instead of looking at Yoongi.

“Oh, really?” Yoongi smirked, taking Hoseok’s answer as a sort of challenge.

“Yeah,” Hoseok replied, once again rolling his eyes.

Yoongi wasn’t sure why he did it. Maybe Hoseok’s disrespect was finally starting to get to him. Maybe he wanted to prove the younger male wrong. Maybe Yoongi thought Hoseok looked really pretty with the faint glow of the theater screen shining against his glasses. Either way, Yoongi did it, and honestly, he didn’t regret doing so.

“Hyung, that’s so gross! Why would you do that?” Yoongi couldn’t keep his laughter down, the look of pure disgust after Yoongi had licked his cheek being one of the funniest looks Yoongi had ever seen the younger make.

“I thought you said you were okay with skinship now?” Yoongi replied in between spurts of laughter.

It was another good minute before a theater employee walked up to where Hoseok and Yoongi were sitting in the back of the theater, a flashlight in hand.

“Hey, guys. Sorry, but I’m going to have to ask you to exit the theater.”

Hoseok shot up from his seat, bowing at the employee once before looking down at Yoongi with an annoyed expression.

“Hey, Hoseok-ah, wait!” Yoongi followed the younger teen out of the cinema and out into the parking area where the bus stop was situated.

“Why should I? You got us kicked out of the theater! I really wanted to see that movie.”

Yoongi could almost see the pout on the younger boy’s face, even with the boy’s back turned to him. Yoongi wasn’t sure why the idea of Hoseok being upset made him feel like a pile of shit, but it did, and it wasn’t cool.

Yoongi walked over to the bus bench, sitting down next to Hoseok, who still refused to look at him.

“Hey, Hoseok-ah?” Yoongi spoke, leaning forward so that he could look at the younger guy’s face. “I’m really sorry SeokSeok,” Yoongi attempted, jutting out his lower lip in a ridiculous pout.

The ends of the younger’s lips were threatening to stretch out into a smile, but he resisted, turning his head away so that he wouldn’t have to look at Yoongi anymore.

“Come on, Seokie. I’ll bring you to see the movie next week.” Yoongi leaned back into the bench, scooting closer to the angry teen beside him.

“Will you take me for ice cream right now?” Hoseok asked, turning to look at Yoongi.

“’Course I will. Whatever you want.”

Hoseok smiled a full-blown megawatt smile, giving Yoongi a full view of the green row of braces that were aligning his teeth.

Yoongi wasn’t sure why he suddenly felt his cheeks heating up, wasn’t sure why he felt so proud that he had been able to make Hoseok smile that way, but something in Yoongi made him want to continue to make him smile like that.

“Come on, kid. Let’s go.”

Hoseok nodded, grabbing Yoongi by the hand and leading him to his favorite ice cream shop around the corner.

“So much for not being afraid of skinship anymore,” Yoongi sighed, rolling his eyes as Hoseok loosely hugged his neck from behind. “Are these the kind of back hugs you see on TV?” Yoongi laughed when Hoseok huffed at his question.

“Well, I’ve never really done this before, Hyung. It’s kind of embarrassing,” Hoseok replied from behind Yoongi, still unable to keep himself from fully pressing himself to Yoongi’s back, choosing instead to stand a couple of feet away, while leaning his upper body forward to awkwardly hug Yoongi’s neck.

“As your teacher, I think it’s my duty to let you know that this is one thousand and ten percent too awkward.” Yoongi pulled back, turning to look at Hoseok who was still hunched forward.

“Like you know everything,” Hoseok grumbled, stomping his foot on the ground in frustration.

Yoongi most definitely didn’t think that was cute. Not at all. Shut up.

“You’re the one who asked me to help you in the first place,” Yoongi answered, rolling his eyes.

“Yeah, well…” Hoseok finished his sentence by sticking his tongue out at Yoongi.

“Did you really just stick your tongue out at me?” Yoongi chuckled, resisting the urge to bring Hoseok closer to tickle him. No, not tickle. Hit. Yoongi totally meant hit!

“Possibly,” Hoseok replied, smug look crossing his face.

“How mature,” Yoongi replied, shaking his head at the younger’s show of defiance.

“Just admit you don’t know any more about back hugs than I do, Hyung,” accused Hoseok, crossing his arms over his chest.

Okay, so to be honest, Hoseok was right. Yoongi didn’t know anything about back hugging anyone. He had never done it to anyone, aside from maybe his mother, but Yoongi wasn't known for being stubborn for nothing.

“Come here,” Yoongi instructed, pulling Hoseok gently by the arm before he brought him closer so that Hoseok’s back was pressed firmly to Yoongi’s front. Yoongi then preceded to wrap both his arms securely around Hoseok’s middle.

The angle was a bit weird since Yoongi was about a centimeter shorter than the younger male, but as soon as Yoongi had Hoseok securely embraced in his arms, the grumpy male found himself getting fully into character.

Yoongi slightly swayed the younger male in his arms, lightly resting his chin on Hoseok’s right shoulder. “Who doesn’t know anything about back hugs?” Yoongi teased, nuzzling his face further into Hoseok’s shoulder, tightening his grip when he noticed how red the younger male had gone.

“S-Shut up.”

Yoongi totally wasn’t completely delighted at Hoseok’s reaction.

Yoongi was so not angry. He wasn’t. Not even a little bit. Yoongi didn’t even know the meaning of the word.

“Dude, would you stop squishing my apple juice like that? You're spilling it.” Namjoon spoke from beside Yoongi at lunch.

Yoongi hadn’t even noticed the liquid starting to run down his arm from where he had been busy squeezing the box of apple juice he had snatched from Namjoon’s lunch tray.

“Look at him, I thought I was the only one who had come out?” Yoongi questioned, sending laser beams in the direction of the small, dark-haired kid who had his arm thrown across Hoseok’s shoulders.

“Well, technically Hoseok is out too,” Seokjin added, speaking from around a bite of kimchi.

“Yeah, hyung. Why do you care, anyway? Isn’t this what you’ve been helping Hoseok for? So that he doesn’t act like an awkward mess around his crush?”

Namjoon’s words somehow made Yoongi want to cringe.

“That isn’t his crush,” Yoongi argued, jaw clenching as he continued to observe the small boy giggle along with Hoseok.

“How do you know? Didn’t you tell us he refused to tell you?” Seokjin inquired, moving his drink out of the way when it looked like Yoongi was going to reach over and crush it.

“I just know, okay?” Yoongi shouted, fixing his Hyung with a glare.

“I don’t know, dude. From the looks of it, I think he is.”

Yoongi rocketed out of his seat, almost running towards the direction of Hoseok’s lunch table when he noticed the small little jerk feeding his Hoseok food.

“We need to leave, right now,” Yoongi rushed, pulling Hoseok with him by the arm, being careful to not let the younger boy see the glare he shot the small, dark-haired boy.

Yoongi continued walking, ignoring Hoseok’s questions as he pushed open the gross green door of the boys’ bathroom.

“Hyung? What is this about?” Hoseok questioned, reaching up to fix his glasses.

Yoongi simply stared at the sophomore, unable to voice what he was feeling. Unable to tell Hoseok that he was angry, that he felt betrayed watching Hoseok giggle along with some other guy when Yoongi wasn’t even anything to Hoseok. They weren’t together, yet Yoongi still felt a sharp pain shoot through his chest whenever he thought back to the scene in the cafeteria. Oh no, maybe Yoongi was having a heart attack?

“Hyung?”

Yoongi stopped patting the area over his heart, and looked back up at Hoseok, the younger boy’s face taking on a look of pure concern.

“Ummm…” Yoongi mumbled, still unable to voice his thoughts.

“Hyung, it’s kimchi day today. I know this must be pretty serious if you skipped out on kimchi day just to talk to me in a dingy bathroom. Just tell me what’s wrong,” Hoseok said, stepping closer to Yoongi so that the glare from the dim bathroom lights wasn’t blocking his eyes from behind his glasses.

“Was that him?” Yoongi found himself questioning, unable to keep himself from speaking any longer.

“What?” Hoseok asked, puzzled with the older male’s question.

“Was that him?” Yoongi asked again. “Was that the guy you’ve liked since freshman year?”

Hoseok immediately ducked his head at Yoongi’s question, giving Yoongi his answer without having to say anything.

“I could take him,” Yoongi muttered, looking down at his worn sneakers.

“What?” Hoseok sputtered, reaching forward so that he was standing right in front of Yoongi.

“Nothing. You’re right, it is kimchi day. Let’s go back and-"

“No, hyung. What do you mean you can take him? Jiminie’s my friend! You can’t hurt him.”

“Oh, so you have a nickname for him, and everything?” Yoongi asked bitterly, rolling his eyes.

“Hyung! You aren’t freaking listening!” Hoseok shouted, throwing his hands up over his head in annoyance.

“I am. I hear you loud and clear,” Yoongi did his best to hide where his voice cracked at the end of his sentence.

“No, I really think you aren’t. Especially if you really think that Jimin is my crush.”

At his words, Yoongi lifted his head, fixing his gaze on Hoseok’s disgruntled expression.

“He’s not?” Yoongi asked, hope filling his chest.

“Of course not! Jimin is a child!” Hoseok spoke, scrunching his eyebrows to the middle of his forehead.

“Then, who is?” Yoongi whispered, looking back down at his sneakers.

There was a short pause before Hoseok spoke up again.

“Gee, hyung. I don’t know. Who is the only other openly gay guy at this school?” Hoseok answered, sarcasm dripping from each word.

Yoongi thought about it for a second, almost wanting to kick himself for being so stupid. Hoseok had even mentioned that the guy was gay as well. Who else would it have been?

“Oh.”

“Yeah, oh,” Hoseok chuckled, reaching forward to press a small kiss to Yoongi’s cheek.

Yoongi felt like he had been set on fire from the simple action, his face immediately lighting up with a bright red blush.

“Come on, hyung. We’re missing kimchi day,” Hoseok sang as he slipped his fingers firmly between Yoongi’s own.

Yoongi’s totally didn’t melt into a pile of goo at the smile the younger male sent him.

“Ya,” Yoongi shouted, slapping his lunch tray on the table right beside Hoseok’s. “That’s my seat, kid.”

Jimin, the kid Yoongi had learned was Hoseok’s best friend, jumped back, looking almost petrified at the glare the blonde male fixed him with.

“Yoongi hyung, stop scaring Jiminie,” Hoseok chided, slapping Yoongi lightly on the arm with the open palm of his hand.

“He’s in my seat, though,” Yoongi pouted, melting under the sweet smile of his geeky-looking boyfriend. God, did Yoongi love those glasses.

“Don’t be such a baby, hyung. Here, you can sit with me.”

Yoongi didn’t even get the chance to argue as Hoseok quickly pulled him to sit on his lap, bringing both his thin arms to wrap around Yoongi’s middle, his palms resting on Yoongi’s thighs.

“Aren’t you proud of how far I’ve come with skinship?” Hoseok giggled, giving Yoongi a quick peck on his flaming cheek.

“Shut the fuck up, kid,” Yoongi mumbled, smiling when he noticed how uncomfortable Jimin looked from beside them.

“Just wait until we get into those ‘other things’ you mentioned before,” Yoongi whispered into Hoseok’s ear.

It was all Yoongi’s fault when Hoseok jumped, causing Yoongi to sprawl out on the floor of the cafeteria.

Here was a new thing for Yoongi to live down.

"Hey, whatever happened to that video you had of me dancing to the Twice song?"

"That? Oh, I was bluffing."

"What?"

"Yeah, I didn't have it back when I threatened you with it, but I have it now, so don't even think about leaving me."

"I wouldn't dream of it."

Notes:

So I was watching the SNL episode with the guys from AOMG in it, and the scene with Simon D playing the bad boy teaching Ahn Young-mi's character about guys kind of enspired this. Also, Simon D, please marry me, thank you.

A huge thank you to the lovely @parkguardian for helping me beta this story. Without his comments and editing advice this story would have been a complete mess. Seriously, the true MVP!

One last thing, I will never get over the fact that Hoseok pulled Yoongi down to sit on his lap, and Yoongi let him! Okay? Okay.
