Chapter Text
Prelude
They said the Power could not love itself.
“Stone stands. Water yields.”
But there were two who did not listen.
Who did not care enough to listen.
One was shaped.
The other was given the Light’s blessing.
Between them, between the roaring Sun Hills and the Water Planes,
a silence broke, pure as dawn.
The world had looked away— or pretended to;
as they set fire to the Watery Stone.
Their names have been long forgotten;
worn by the High Tides—
legend worn to fable, myth to echo.
Yet when fishermen sing to the Sea,
when Watergivers pray the storms away,
a tale as old as time is told to children— and the two live on.
Forever.
