"so like do you think our zanpakuto fuck?"
the shorter male heard choking followed by fits of coughing, he simply glanced up from his book to see his boyfriend hunched over.
"please dont die in my bedroom. we just had sex and cleaned up, id like to stay in bed for the rest of the night."
"you cant just say something like that..."
"about not wanting you to die or the zanpakuto sex?"
"the second one. why would you that?"
"because i was curious. i also told you to stop using such formalities dumbass formalities with me, i find your dialect nice."
shinji sighed and walked over to the bed and sat down next to ajax. the taller wrapped an arm around the shorter, pulling him closer.
"sorry bout that but ya seriously cant expect me to not be jolted out of my usual because of that."
"i dont understand why you think its so strange. i mean we're taught that our zanpakuto are one with us in a way. so why couldnt two zanpakutos possibly have sex similar to their owners?"
"darling..."
"fūtan and sakanade are next to each other near the door this time. we usually keep them in different corners, its not a bad idea to assume."
"okay sure but... ya dont understand."
ajax closed his book and tilted his head as he looked at shinji. shinji shifted his eyes over to both of their zanpakuto.
"well they dont like each other for one. another thing is... sakanade is.."
"sakanade. you never tell me anything about sakanade. like what sakanades manifestation looks like."
" uh... sakanade looks strange."
"nor what your bankai is, you used to be a captain and i cant recall ever hearing about it back then."
"its just not helpful to anyone."
"i told you about mine! no one but you knows about it."
"i told ya that ya didnt need to tell me anything about yer zanpakuto..."
"okay so what? is sakanade some sort of... i dont know. i havent figured it out and its frustrating. if sakanade is so powerful in shikai... then what is keeping you from telling me about the bankai?"
shinji looked at ajax who was lightly scratching his nails against shinjis arm. never of them spoke for a moment, taking a moment to calm down and think.
"i could tell ya about it."
ajax stopped scratching momentarily before continuing.
"but ya cant tell anyone about it. i also need something from ya."
"sure."
"that we go training. just us."
"what for exactly?"
"so i can kick yer ass obviously-"
ajax quickly grabbed shinjis hair and pulled it, causing shinji to let out a tiny whine.
"you arent kicking my ass, pretty boy. i will ruin you."
"thought we finished the dirty talk an hour ago, jax.."
"we did. im currently threatening your life, do not fucking underestimate me."
"i wont... i was just gonna tell ya that i wanted to see yer bankai in person."
"oh!"
ajax let go of shinjis hair and smiled, lightly petting shinjis head.
"you shouldve said so sooner, shin. i hope that means youll use that mask of yours. i wanna see it again, i cant use mine so im interested in seeing a veteran at work."
"yeah... ill use it. ya actually pulled my hair really hard there... shit hurts. "
"sorry sorry.... i got carried away. i hope you can forgive me, ill do anything to make it up to you."
"there is something actually. could ya make me something to eat?"
"this late... okay. just lay down and ill bring it once its done."
as ajax got out of bed and started walking to the door, he picked up his zanpakuto and moved it across the room. as he carefully leaned his zanpakuto against the wall, he whispered something before walking out. neither shinji or ajax remembered that they were going to talk about sakanades bankai, perhaps some other time.
