Good Girl

Summary:

[yandere!killers x reader]

There once was a killer who entangled all of their souls. Beautiful, kind, yet cruel, she filled their evil hearts and swore to stay with them forever. Except it was only an act. The day came and she used them to escape from the dark realm, manipulating and cursing them for her own advantage, as she disappeared and left them far behind.

Whether it’s because of rage, sadness, or love… they never forgot her.

Until one day, a certain girl who looks too familiar appears on the opposite side of the Entity’s realm, causing a dark and disturbing obsession to arise in them again.

They won’t let her hurt them again… and…

She’s never leaving them either.

Notes:

Hey! This is my first story on Ao3! This story is posted on here and Quotev and I have a lot to unpack for this story since it's built pretty heavily in terms of story, theme, and plot so I thought it would be nice to share it on more platforms :) Hope you all enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: oh the misery

Chapter Text

"I thought I was dreaming but I wasn't. Among these wretched and despicable being, there was someone who resembled an angel. Bloodied and broken she was, she was beautiful and more terrifying than anything I've ever seen. Her voice snatches one's soul, her eyes swallow you in, and the moment she locks in with you, she takes over your entire being.

I've seen it. The way those monsters heed under her command, the way they kill for her attention, and just how human they seem when they're with her. Once you're in a trial with her, the only thing you can do is pray and hide as her voice manipulates into the air and her henchmen come out and do her bidding.

Despite all this horror, a part of me thinks there is sadness in her soul. There is no ounce of malice or evil in her eyes. The Entity may be the queen of this realm but the Empress wears the crown.

And yet... I pity her."

A giant hole had bled through the Entity’s realm.

The glimmer of the outside world sparkled on the other side of the dark realm, so close, but so far out of reach. A low groan was heard throughout the entire realm, as the Entity let out a pitiful groan as she tried to reattach and heal herself.

Someone had done it.

A killer had escaped.

Everything had happened so fast.

One moment, the Entity’s realm was intact but in the next second… the Entity suddenly felt herself being impounded, stabbed, and torn everywhere, as pain erupted throughout her entire body of the realm.

In a single second, every killer had suddenly lost their mind and began to attack the Entity’s realm, until they reached her core and forced her to open a portal to the real world.

A fast shadow escaped and a certain left with no hesitation, not even blinking an eye or turning her head, as she soon disappeared. The portal was still for a few moments before it shook and began to seal itself once more, leaving its inhabitants stranded and abandoned in this hell once more.

As for that killer…

Nothing was left of her except for one note, in which she hastily wrote before she manipulated and took control of their minds.

Once they had recovered from her control, she was long gone.

Many of them panicked and searched the realm, some of them stayed calm and simply waited, while others had a terrible thought with what just happened.

And soon… they saw it.

Her note that laid on the dirty ground was the only thing that was left of her. Her scent was still lingering upon the small white paper and the moment one of them touched it, reality and dread hit them hard.

        To all my loves…

Forgive me for the action I have placed upon you all. Please do not think any ill of it as I have no intention of hurting you all. It’ll be brief and soon, you’ll all have your minds returned and everything will be back to normal.

        Well, not everything.

For these past months… years… I’m not sure how long it’s been but… for the time that I’ve been here, I’ve suffered greatly. The trials, bloodshed, and endless horror has taken its toll on me and I realised that I cannot continue on here. I must return home and it pains me that the only way out of here is for me to use you all.

Please I beg you all, to not think as if I didn’t love all of you.

You were all so dear and precious to me.

I’ve hurt you, and I know you all will never forgive me for this. You guys shouldn’t. But please, forget about me as I was never meant to be a murderer. I never meant to break your heart. I never meant to make you all feel like you weren’t enough, you all were always enough.

It’s me. It’s always been me.

The days and nights we’ve spent together brought me so much joy and I genuinely feel deep compassion for you all. I will never forget you all but please, forget about me.

        I’m sorry.

I can’t ask for your forgiveness and I know we’ll never see each other again. But I hope that… someday… you all will understand. I want you all to have peace and heal and I want you to know it was never your fault.

        Goodbye my loves,

        (Name) - The Empress

⊱ ────── {.⋅ ✯ ⋅.} ────── ⊰

        They did not move on.

Years had passed - not that they know, since the shattering of the Entity’s realm. One might think that the evil souls might have forgotten about her but in truth… they did not.

How could they?

Emotions of rage, betrayal, and heartache loomed over each of their broken beings as they couldn’t believe she would just leave and abandon them to rot in this endless hell.

They thought it would be easy to forget about the Empress, but it was not.

Everything they did reminded them of her.

She plagued their dreams.

They even hallucinate that she was still by their side, waiting expectantly by the fireplace for them to return from the trials.

They swore her scent still lingered among the realm and they thought they were going mad when they could still hear her voice singing to them to sleep in the darkness.

They had fallen in love with her and every thought about her drove them mad. They were desperate as they had sheepishly thought they had something intimate with her and that she would stay forever, but it turns out they never truly understood her at all.

She used them.

She used them to escape and was probably back in the real world, moving on, falling in love, and building a family with a-

No.

They refuse to think of her lying with another man. The mere thought of her being kissed, touched, and eloped with another man made them want to vomit and curse this entire wretched world.

Maybe it’s a good thing now that she’s gone since they wouldn’t be distracted anymore. They can continue to pleasure their bloodlust without someone in their way, toying with their emotions and chanting false words of love and promise into their ears.

And yet…

Why do they still think of her?

They waited and waited, as they held on to hope for their beloved Empress to return. They even hoped that the Entity would somehow track her down in the real world again and bring her back.

However, as time passed, she never showed up, as if her entire existence had been wiped from both worlds.

They continued their trials as if nothing had happened before but they never forgot about her, even though she was never coming back.

When one of the survivors would even mention or question her whereabouts, they would lose themselves and tear their insides in and out in a gruesome manner.

Her voice still trailed in their minds, even when they were killing and slaughtering survivors in endless trials. Her touch still haunted them when they roamed around outside their trials and her face would make men burn empires in order to get a kiss from her.

Were they really not enough for her?

Did she really have to leave them behind?

Why couldn’t she take her with them?

But the answer was obvious but they will never admit it.

She never loved them.

OVERVIEW - THE EMPRESS

The Empress was formerly a manipulative and calculating killer. Using her voice, she lulls killers in and forces them to do her bidding with her sweet song within the trial. Her eyes produce illusions that convince them of good pleasure before she unleashes them into the trials to hunt down survivors. Depending on her stamina, she can summon at least two killers - four the most, in order to punish the innocent. Almost never, has a survivor escaped from her unscathed.
