Chapter Text
Bleary eyes slowly blink open, a wave of nausea and unease settling in his stomach. He was in his office, on the floor. He pushed himself up, palms propping himself up. He blinks a few more times and turns his head to gaze around the room.
A freakishly tall, pale and faceless figure loomed in the corner of his study. “Lucian..” A whisper echoed deep in his mind as he stared at the being.
He sprung to his feet, lightheaded but sprinting for the door. A large black tendril wrapped around his waist and snatched him back with enough force to almost give him whiplash.
“Lucian.” The being in front of him growled. “You will listen to me. You will help me.” It snarled.
Fuzz filled Lucian’s head, a migraine forming the longer he stared at this being. Something seemed too familiar about this being.
“What the FUCK are you.” He sputtered out, fighting and wiggling in his grasp.
“Your new owner.” The being spat at him before everything went black.

When he awoke, his eyes hurriedly darted around despite being blurry and hazy. He saw a large manor, it appeared to be run down. It had a ghostly feeling to it. He didn’t get a chance to take it in before he was drug inside. The interior was a once beautiful masterpiece now run down and ruined.
There were two corridors, one of the left and one on the right. There were two sets of staircases a few yards in front of them. He was drug to the right, into a large door next to the right corridor. It led to a large office that was neater and clearer than the rest of the manor.
His head ached so bad he thought the pressure might cause his brain to spontaneously combust. He was dropped on the floor by the faceless being who looked over him.
“My..worker. Is hurt. You will fix them. Get yourself together.” The being growled. It snapped and professional grade medical supplies appeared next to Lucian who was still crumpled on the floor.
A man walked into the room, and bowed on his knees. He was a brunette, who wore a tan jacket and his face was masked with a white mask with black accents. He was silent in his submission.
“Masky. Take Lucian here and the medical supplies to the infirmary. Tell Jack to not interfere.” The being growled at the man, Masky.
Lucian peeled himself off the floor, he had so much pressure in his skull that it was hard to see. All he heard was static.
The man, Masky, grabbed Lucian by the arm and grabbed the medical supplies left by him on the floor. The man guided Lucian, who was stumbling and dazed, to a room that was blindingly white and was so clean that it smelled sterile.
The smell of blood assault Lucian’s nose as he blinked a few times. His eyes focused as his migraine subsided to a manageable point.
There was a man crumpled on a stretcher, blood staining his clothes. Lucian quickly approached, instincts taking over as he momentarily forgot where he was. He examined the man’s body.
He was a man, no older than 35. He had blond hair stained by blood, and his body was littered with deep gashes and gunshots. There was no way this man could survive, but Lucian worked anyway.
With perfect precision, he cleaned and stitched every wound, removing any trace of a problem. He felt extreme guilt about the fact that this man had no anesthesia, and he became increasingly aware as the man had begun regaining consciousness towards the end, groaning in pain.
The man from before, Masky, stepped up closer as he had been watching the whole time. He gently took the man’s hand in his, rubbing his thumb overtop it.
Suddenly, the moment he had removed his hands from the bloodied man, he was yanked back by a tall figure. A deep growl omitted from the thing behind him as he tried to yank away. He turned his head back to look at the person.
What he saw was not a person. It could not have been. He had gray skin and no eyes, teeth as sharp as razors. He yelped in surprise, terror filling his body.
“Jack.” Masky growled from next to the man on the table.
“This is my job. Why is he in MY clinic. I could’ve handled this fine.” Jack growled, acting as if Lucian wasn’t there but maintaining a firm grasp on him.
“Let. Him. Go. Bosses orders.” Masky warned, releasing the man’s hand and approaching the pair.
Jack barred his teeth, a low growl. He was extremely angry. He was a damn good doctor and he was offended that they brought in some fucking professional who he knew would screw up. His claws slightly dug into the man.
Masky narrowed his eyes, in front of the pair. Jack growled territorially, but it was quickly put to a stop by Masky who grabbed him by the hair and forced him to his knees with sheer power, causing him to let go. “Finish your work.” Masky barked at Lucian.
Lucian did not know how what appeared to be a human overpowered a demon like that fucking thing, but he knew damn well he was gonna listen. He approached the waking man, finishing the last of the stitches and disinfectant. Lucians hands had been coated in blood throughout this process, so when the man opened his eyes and saw this unfamiliar man above him, he tensed and jerked up.
“Hey, hey it’s okay. It’s okay,” Lucian tried to soothe and keep the man down. “It’s okay. I’m not here to hurt you,” He tried to reassure
The man grabbed him by the wrist and stopped milliseconds before it got twisted. “Hoods, it’s okay.” Masky softly said, walking up.
The man, hoodie, snapped his attention to Masky. He visibly relaxed. As he relaxed, it became increasingly obvious that something was wrong beyond his grotesque injuries.
Lucian rubbed his wrists before staring at Hoodie. His pupils were blown and he was sluggish despite his oddly accurate movements. He realized that there was no way on earth they were normal humans. He did however recognize the signs of drug use.
“Do you use any drugs?” Lucian slowly asked, hesitant.
“..No.” Hoodie replied after a moment's hesitation, like he didn’t remember.
“I can handle it. I know more.” Jack growled, approaching. Lucian was all the more happy to step back.
As Jack took over questioning, Lucian tried to slip out of the room and ran face first into the being that brought him there.
