LoveDrug

Summary:

Eugene & Pugsley enter into "friendship to relationship" after two years of being friends cause of a teenage "spark".

Notes:

This is post canon, so probably I will try to not mischaracterize too much and following their storyline as 15-16 year old and their awkwardness.

Pugsley has been developing a crush since they started being friends.

Eugene is so calm, but also a little bit bitter, Pugsley likes that.

English is not my first language, but I tried to do it as much accurate as possible.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The night was shining a little brighter, I went outside to get some air for a moment, the atmosphere in the room was overwhelming me, I had been Eugene's roommate for 2 years, it was exorbitant, I disliked it. Or well, that's what he would call liking it. I stared outside for a bit, the moonlight falling on me in a purple shadow. I turned to look into the bedroom, from the slight opening in the door I saw him sleeping. I counted the days since I became aware of something, a spark that went beyond my power, my senses, maybe, it was horrible, worse, disgusting, I smiled every time I felt it. Although Wednesday never took what I told her seriously, yes, I am different from her, deep down she knows maybe I felt a connection.

I went back to my bed, my eyes narrowed watching him some more, getting myself sure he wouldn't get a nightmare or else I just go to his bed and cuddle and comfort him until his nightmare was gone, and I closed my eyes again, permanently, or so I felt until dawn where I felt his hands touch my body trying to unpick the dead man in me. I heard his moan as he felt the shock of the electricity touch his palm. I smiled with my eyes closed.

— What do you need, Bumblebee? — I looked at him, he folded his arms looking directly into my eyes, a look that at the same time felt strange.

— I don't play about my bees, Pugsley. — He threatened, I smiled arching my right eyebrow, I stood up from my bed as I put a hand on his shoulder giving another shock of electricity, one that didn't have an intention, this time I also felt that spark going through my body.

— Pugsley! — He patted his shoulder, the same one that was surely burning.

— I-I'm sorry. — I left the place, not saying another word. I headed for a moment into the woods, a place where I felt more comfortable, a little more listened to, the solitude I needed. I walked for an hour trying to clear my twisted head. That's what they call “relaxing,” I guess. I realized I had to go back, a strange need all of a sudden. I headed for the shed where he would surely be. Yes, along with the crazy things I was hiding in it too.

I saw him from his back, he was inspecting his insects, specifically that sort of “mason bee” he had been devoting himself to for a few days. I knocked on the door as a sign of courtesy, I did not do it with anyone, but with him I got used to do it.
— Eugene. —

— What do you want, Pugsley Addams? — I came closer, a little... Fearful, it was a creepy feeling.

— I brought a remedy for the burn. — He looked at me, slowly approaching, lifted his chin to look at me. He removed the piece of his purple jacket showing above his shirt the area that was still burning red.

— Terrible, isn't it? — A burn like that should even make me jealous to be able to witness such a situation. I nodded as we both walked inside and he sat down on the bench inside, next to his research, I sat down next to him taking some of the treatment out of the bottle.

— It has honey in it. — I spread it lightly on the area, just to the center of the charred shirt. Eugene didn't turn to look at me, but I wasn't going to deny that he probably had a slight smile on his face.

— Family recipe. — I added, he turned to look at me, I continued to spread some. — Snail slime, ash and spider eyes. —

— Too much information, all right. Thank you, friend. — Did he smile at me? That didn't affect me, maybe, maybe it did. I sighed as I closed the jar with its lid. I began to lightly bandage the area without applying too much pressure.

— You will be better by tomorrow's morning. — I got up, maybe it was time to go, Agnes asked me to help her, she was creepy, but she was good company too.

— Wait. — I waited. Or was I just a tame dog to do it?

— Pugsley, I need to talk to you. — Day 866 since I noticed, it was terrifying. I never smiled more in my life. I turned around and went back to sit next to him.

— You know... Thank you. — I arched my eyebrow trying to understand the dark essence of that honesty between the words I heard.

— I know I can be very self-conscious, but you always worry. I don't blame you for today. — He placed a hand on my shoulder, still smiling. Weird.

— Don't you? — I pulled away a little with that awakening of doubt.

— A little, but we are friends after all. — He looked away, he didn't want me to see his face, I knew that move from the times he was feeling embarrassed.

— Can I ask you something? — My hands touched the wooden board beneath us, I felt tension in the air, something more than electricity, I think I was going to burn the very wood that held us.

— Am I still your best friend after all? — Eugene took a pause, he didn't say anything, I understood.

— It's okay, you don't have to answer. — I felt his hand touch mine, what was I doing, what was wrong with my heart, if I have any trace of it, I sat up again.

He saw me again, a little closer. A spark of electricity touched both of our hands, but he didn't care, I moved a little closer, checking his dark eyes and his lips. I closed the distance, felt it for the first time, an electricity passing through my whole body, something so horrifying that I didn't even feel it when Slurp almost sucked every part of me. Neither of us knew what was the other doing, although I think I helped him control a little more within five seconds. We broke apart after feeling the bolt of electricity touch our lips. He touched the corner of his lips. Pure silence after all. We stayed as that for a long minute.

— I don't know what to say. — He looked at me full of thick uncertainty, I smelled his discomfort.

— Never had my mind been as black as the whole emptiness. — I smiled, I felt the same, I couldn't envy him. My hands caressed his wavy hair, I tried not to ruin it, not to release some spark that would burn them.

We both smile as we moved a little closer, I grabbed the collar of his shirt and we both gave this impulse again, now away from an electricity, I kissed him, I was truly doing it. I smiled, he smiled too. It was disgusting and wonderful. Both of us on the edge of teenage inexperience and madness, yes, that was Pugsley Addams. I started to go a little deeper until I found myself slightly above him, my hands covered Caro Mio's waist, I found myself between his legs as he lay back on the bench. His arms wrapped around my neck, until we both heard footsteps on the wood of the floor and checked quick around.

— Agnes? — She appeared from the shadow of the corner. It was amazing how she was hiding so stealthily.

— I didn't want to interrupt you two. — Eugene walked away from me, sitting back down and fixing his hair a little. It was another color of red I never imagined seeing on his face.

— How long have you been here? — he asked, I kept quiet.

— Oh, not long. I was looking for the knucklehead and the only option I had in my mind was that he would be with his boyfriend in their shed. — She pointed at me as she went around in little circles. — I didn't know you made out in here. I thought the dorms existed for a reason. — I licked my lips, still feeling the sweet taste of honey in my mouth, which was becoming increasingly viscous.

— P-Pugsley is not m-my boyfriend. — He turned to look at me, both of us a little confused. — We'll explain later... Now get out. — He sighed, his breath was latent, at least he was alive.

— Empty head, you promised to help, see you later. — Sure, yes, I was going to help her, but my priority at the moment was him. The atmosphere filled with silence after Agnes slammed the door. Was this the perfect moment? Him and I didn't look at the other for a few moments. If I was out of my thoughts before, I didn't know what was happening now.

— I have to get back to my research. — He got up from his seat to grab the papers that were somewhere in that shed.

— Wait — I grabbed his hand and approach him to me, and after some seconds without saying a word, I kissed him, sparks coming out of my whole body, he kissed me back without hesitation. Creating a chemical reaction with honey and heat. I embraced his waist once again, till we broke apart after a few seconds. I looked at him at the same time he looked at me.

— Let me be your boyfriend, Eugene. — I knelt down before he could speak or say anything, took his hands, and clasped them together in supplication.

— Pugsley, what? — His blank expression spoke volumes, and it drove me crazy.

— Let me be your boyfriend. I promise to be better than just a friend. T-This is what I've been trying to tell you. And I-I don't plan on wasting my chance now that you might feel the same way I do. — His cheeks flushed, much more color than I was used to. Maybe I could get used to them too, all for him. Eugene nodded as I got up to give him another kiss, a softer one, with an added jolt of electricity between us, causing us to separate. We both stared at each other more intently. It didn't feel strange, but it felt right.

— I'm sorry, Caro Mio. — I held his arms gently, more gently than usual.

— Let's have a talk at night, Pugs.. Go help Agnes. — He smiled at me, I smiled back. Just one more kiss and I left the place, with a smile that Wednesday would surely throw me off a fifth floor by just standing in front of her. Pugsley Addams finally had his lover, after his time searching for the perfect moment, it was creepy, I loved it and well... I love him, after all.

Notes:

They will always have a soft space in my heart, they are so cute and I'm so soft for them. I might dieeeeee.
