Chapter Text
Harry frowned at the tablet in his hand. A webtoon scene was open on the screen. Character was walking toward the bathroom with his wand. The atmosphere was dark.
“Hey, Draco.”
Harry nudged Draco, who was leaning beside him and drawing on his iPad. Draco took out his earphones and looked at Harry.
“What’s wrong?”
“Are we going to stay enemies for the whole story?” Harry asked with a groan. “I know it’s a drawing, but I don’t like our fights.”
“Oh…” Draco placed his pen on the magnetic side of the tablet. He didn’t answer, even though Harry was staring at him.
“But then we will be lovers, right?”
“…” Draco stayed silent. Then he stood up and left the tablet on the couch. “Do you want a Coke? For some reason, I really want it.” He quickly went to the kitchen.
“Draco!” Harry stood up, still holding the tablet, and followed him. “We will be lovers, right?”
Draco poured Coke into a glass, took a sip, and looked at Harry. “Read and find out. Also, focus on the drawings and the story. How’s the story?”
Harry made a face. “Well… if we ignore the fact that you killed my parents and Cedric… I think it’s pretty good.” He walked closer, took the glass from Draco, drank, and gave it back. “When will you start publishing? I guess you’ll change the names, right?”
Draco took the glass back and sipped. “Probably next month the promos will start. Then they’ll decide a release schedule. Of course I’ll change the names. Imagine if your mother read it? It already took them years to accept us being together. If it weren’t for Sirius and Remus, who knows where we’d be now.”
“Right!” Harry opened the tablet again and showed the part with Sirius in prison clothes. “Thirteen years! God, Draco, do you enjoy torturing your characters? You could’ve gone easier since you used our names.”
Draco shrugged. “It’s not that bad. Just thirteen years.”
“Just thirteen years.” Harry muttered sarcastically. “Making Peter a traitor was genius though. A traitor betraying my family fits perfectly.”
“A traitor is a traitor anywhere.” Draco spoke coldly. Years had passed since then. Now they were twenty-six. Harry was doing game and agenda streams. Draco earned money from his webtoons. They were doing well, with steady income thanks to a few investments.
But years ago, when they were in college, things were very different. Their secret relationship had started in high school. When they entered the same university, they moved in together. Their families thought they were just close friends.
Back then, Harry had just started streaming and was becoming popular. Draco was already known on Twitter for his art. When his webtoon published, it hit number one instantly. Everything changed when Peter told their families about their relationship.
It was so hard. Fighting against their families’ homophobia was really, really hard. When things went public on social media, it became even worse. Draco couldn’t even remember how many times he broke down crying. He had lost count of how many times he escaped when his father tried to drag him away. Harry wasn’t any better. His fights with his family were brutal. Most of the time, they ended with James’s slap across his face. Not even Lily stepping in could stop it. Harry couldn’t count how many times he ended up bloody because of his father. He had defied his father more times than he could count.
And social media… was a whole different nightmare.
All of it was because of one person: Peter.
Harry took out chocolate from the fridge and held it to Draco’s lips. “Eat. It’ll help.”
Draco parted his lips. Harry placed the chocolate there and leaned in to kiss him. Between their kisses, the chocolate melted away.
When Draco pulled back, his hand went into Harry’s hair. Some chocolate still lingered on his lips, and he smiled. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Harry kissed him again, shorter this time. “How about making iced coffee? I’ll finish this chapter and make us some popcorn.”
“Mmm, sounds good.” Draco ran his hand through Harry’s hair. “Read quickly. I don’t like the ice in my coffee melting.”
“There isn’t much left.” Harry waved the tablet in his hand. “I was just entering the bathroom with my wand. Fifth year scene.”
“Oh…” Draco quickly turned and started preparing coffee. “You’ll love that scene. It was hard to draw.”
Harry frowned. “Really?” He sat at the kitchen chair and opened the tablet, scrolling down slowly on the screen…
"AM I KILLING YOU? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHITTY SCENE DRACO?!"
