Notes:

Hi ! This is my first "work", so be patient with me TvT.
I was working on a longer Drarry fanfic but then I got stuck so in order not to get a writer block I decided to write a short and silly one shot using a prompt found on "Drarry Prompts" by redracingcars here on AO3.
"Wait a minute. Are you jealous?"
So enjoy!

P.S. English is not my first language, so bear with me a second time !

Work Text:

Harry Potter is a very jealous man, possessive at times, and by now Draco knows that very well.

Over the years, the latter turned it into some kind of inside joke and even into a way to tease Harry and get a reaction out of him. It was so funny to see him perk up in the moment Draco mentioned a name the brunet couldn’t really recall. Usually, the reaction Draco sought and later found was Harry claiming him in bed.

To be clear, Harry wasn’t a creep when it came to his jealousy. He wasn’t a toxic and oppressive person, demanding phone records or prohibiting going out. He just wished to be aware of who Draco spent time with and he wouldn’t have had second thoughts about doing something bad to someone who only dared to step over the line (wherever he drew the line, though).

At the same time, he made clear that if Draco ever betrayed his trust, he wouldn’t have ever heard from him again.

In a twisted way, Draco enjoyed his jealousy, the kind of intense jealousy that makes you feel desired and truly cherished, especially when Harry would express it so genuinely.

As the orgasm washed over Harry, he collapsed over a spent Draco, whose pants synchronised with his as he buried his face into the blonde’s neck.

“You’re really mine,” Harry mumbled after minutes of pure and comfortable silence with a stupid astonished tone.

Draco chuckled, “Yes. What made you realize that?” he asked sarcastically while his hand crept up into the other’s hair.

“All mine…” he gently nibbled all over his boyfriend’s pale skin, now slightly reddish due to their previous activities, making him let out a lovely sigh.

“You know, sometimes I’m jealous even of the air you breathe.”

Draco giggled, playfully smacking his head. “You’re an idiot.”

Draco can’t really remember a day spent without Harry’s lingering jealousy.

However, he remembers when it manifested into their life for the first time, taking him aback.

They were at Ron and Hermione’s wedding. Draco knew it would be excessively crowded. If we consider the enormous number of members in the Weasley’s family only we already get an inconsiderate number.

The two married when Draco’s role into Harry ‘s life was still something new and that was why he didn’t know many people at the wedding if it wasn’t for barely recalling some faces from Hogwarts. Oh, well, there was his cousin Luna, which was nice.

I’m definitely sticking by your side all evening,” he told Harry as he held his arm firmly, glancing at the amounts of people.

Little did he know that a little bit of alcohol (at least, this is what he swears) and good music would bring out an unexplored part of him.

Clueless on Harry’s whereabouts, he was on the dance floor having the time of his life to the seventies music playing in the background. It was hard to look at him and believe that he was the same guy who had almost killed Dumbledore.

When dancing started to feel too much and his head, as well as limbs, heavy, he walked to a nearby bench on which he plopped down all giggling.

“The music is absolutely nice,” said a man who had just sat next to Draco, looking at him with a broad smile.

Draco quickly turned towards him. He had no idea who this guy was, however, he looked friendly. If you’re drunk.

“I love disco music. There’s no way to listen to it other than dancing!” Draco exclaimed, quite oblivious to the reason behind the man’s approach.

“Yeah,” the other nodded. “What’s your name?”

“Draco, what’s yours?” he shot a polite smile.

“Milo. Pleasure to meet you.” And so, they both spent time chattering, about things Draco can’t even remember to be honest.

“It’s been a hour; I’m going to look for him,” said Harry as he dismissed himself from the table he was sat at and from Luna, who had just finished listing all the thing Draco might be up to. Some of them very weird, but what could you expect from her?

Fortunately, the ceremony was calmer now since it about to end, so Harry didn’t have to make his way among sweaty masses of people. Not much time later, in fact, he spotted Draco. It would be an understatement saying that he did not like the sight: his boyfriend chatting and laughing with this stranger who was way sober than Draco was.

A twisted feeling settled in his guts, making his blood boil. Without any problems, he just stepped in and interrupted them.

“Draco.”

“Hey, Harry! Where have you been? I haven’t seen you all night!”

“Where have I been?” he murmured under his breath, confused. “Come on, Draco, let’s go back to the table. Soon they’ll cut the cake,” his hand reached for his wrist, bringing him back up to his feet.

“Already?” It had been hours. “At least let me introduce you my new friend Milo.” Harry spared a glare at the other man, who looked just as annoyed. The audacity, Harry thought.

“Yeah, cool. Let’s go” Harry rushed to say as Draco bid Milo goodbye. It bothered Harry to no end.

That feeling in his guts turned into bitterness, which hadn’t left him until the next day, leaving in the meanwhile a very drunk Draco confused.

The following morning, the interaction between his boyfriend and that man was still replayed in his head as he drank his coffee. The way Milo was clearly flirting with him was infuriating. Soon, he would have asked his two best friends who he was.

“Good morning,” a voice snapped him back to reality and he glanced towards its direction from his mug.

“Morning.”

“My head hurts so bad,” Draco whined as he grabbed a medicine to take care of it. “How did you sleep?”

In response, Harry mumbled something that sounded like ‘good,’ but considering he was still sleepy and with a sore head, Draco didn’t quite catch that.

“Mm?”

“Good,” he repeated as if answering that was something atrocious. And it showed in his tone.

“Oh, so you’re still annoyed.” Draco sat at the table and sighed. “Whatever for, I still have no idea.”

“Ask Milo.”

“Milo?” he looked up, as if trying to understand whatever his grumpy boyfriend was implying.

“What do you mean?”

“Ask him,” Harry shot him his best annoyed look. “He seemed to know lots of things last night.”

The blond was pondering on his words while his greys eyes looked straight into Harry’s green ones. After a few moments, he finally got it.

“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?” An expression of surprise mixed with amusement crept up on his face as he started laughing.

“No.”

“Yes you are,” Draco insisted, walking behind him and wrapping his arms around his chest. Harry tried to set himself free but not with much effort. “You are definitely jealous!”

“That guy was all over you,” he said between gritted teeth, turning toward Draco, whose cheek was against his shoulder.

“I would like to say that jealousy doesn’t fit you, Potter, but I would lie.”

“Shut up, Malfoy,” and without any warning, Harry pulled him into a kiss.

Things stayed the same ever since.
